    And today being the Feast of Jesus Christ the King...I offer this prayer for the world today...

    Act of Dedication of the Human Race to Jesus Christ the King

    Most sweet Jesus,
    Redeemer of the human race,
    look down upon us humbly prostrate before you.
    We are yours, and yours we wish to be;
    but to be more surely united with you,
    behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today
    to your Most Sacred Heart.
    Many indeed have never known you;
    many, too, despising your precepts, have rejected you.
    Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus,
    and draw them to your Sacred Heart.
    Be King, O Lord,
    not only of the faithful who have never forsaken you,
    but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned you;
    grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house,
    lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.
    Be King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions,
    or whom discord keeps aloof,
    and call them back
    to the harbor of truth and the unity of faith,
    so that soon there may be
    but one flock and one Shepherd.
    Grant, O Lord, to your Church assurance
    of freedom and immunity from harm;
    give tranquility of order to all nations;
    make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry:
    Praise to the divine Heart that wrought our salvation;
    to it be glory and honor for ever. Amen

     God Bless!

    One of my good friends is named Cecilia. I would not exactly consider her musical...in the shower, at best, lol. Even she admits she can't carry a tune. I wonder if her mother had high hopes for her in that vein.

    Continuing the novena...St. Peregrine, please intercede on behalf of our special intentions, Bette, Ann, two Mary's...and for all at bc.org.  Amen.

    May God bless you all today.  May you feel the warmth of His love in the sunshine.  May you feel the touch of His kiss on your cheek in the wind that cools you.  May you take the time to hear the love songs He composes for you in the bird's song.  May you smile at the beauty He creates all around you.  Thank you God for all our blessings.  Thank you for my BC Sisters.  Please let them feel your presence and healing power today and always. Amen

    Hi Everyone,

    This is a beautiful thread. I haven't read all of the replies but has anyone mentioned St. Agatha. She is also a patron saint for breast cancer as well as for survivors of sexual abuse.  You can read more about her at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agatha_of_Sicily

    God bless you all today!

    Sexy furniture?  Ha! That would be my recliner...I loved sleeping in it for months after my BMX and during the expansion....never once sat in it before that....now it is my favorite chair!  It makes me feel "familiar"  "taken care of"  "held".

    God Bless!

    Good Morning,

    PET scan went okay.  I didn't see any flashing lights (like last time) so hopefully this is a good sign.  I should get results soon but it's all in our Lord's hands.  I believe it will be okay. He's never let me down yet!  I've been in pain the last few days but nothing compared to what our dear Lord endured.

    Angel: I have stayed away from the cup too since my immunity is low. But even with my precautions and hand santizers I still caught a bad cold. You're right though... His blood worth the risk!

    Bless: I am sorry to hear your friends news. I will definitely keep both Mary's in prayer.

    St. Peregrine: Continue the intecessory prayers for all suffering through our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen!

    Blessings to all,

    Jeannine

    Jeannine,

    I'm so glad the PET scan is over.  You are in my prayers for a good report.  I'm so sorry that you have been in pain.  I don't know if it will help you...but when recently when I have had pain, I have asked God to take it from me, but if it is His will to let me endure it for the sake of the souls in purgatory and for any other purpose that suits His will.  Oddly enough the pain has eased every time.  I pray that this might work for you as well.

    Thank you all for your prayers for me!  I got my pathology back from my second lumpectomy today.  Both the tissue and the node came back clear.  Praise and thanks be to God!  We are sending all of my tissue samples to Laigos in San Francisco for a second/third opinion in hopes of justifying my not having any additional treatments...just close monitoring.  Lord if it is your will, please guide me.  Either way, I praise your name and trust and rest in your will because you are goodness and your will is what is best for me always.

    So tonight will be our last mass at the church on the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  We will miss it, but will be happy to get back home.  Thank you God for such a beautiful place to dwell and heal.

    God Bless all of my BC sisters and both Mary's.  Please surround them with your love and fill them with your peace.  If it be your will, and please Lord, let it be your will, please heal them and bless their families and friends and care givers.  Amen

    Bless,

    Your prayer is the most perfect prayer...take my pain and suffering away, but if not your will allow me to endure it for the souls in purgatory or any other purpose that suits Your will.  Amen.

    PERFECT PRAYER!

     And clean pathology!!!  God is so good!  God is so genreous!!

    Thanks for sharing and  God Bless!

    Ladies...I post/mostly lurk on the 40-60 y/o thread.....the woman who started that thread Elimar...had a wonderful post today about helping out our fellow newly dx'ed sisters....especially at this time of year (holiday season), so I thought I would copy and paste it here....what a wonderful and generous thought that I believe as Catholics we should listen to and "do" if possible....

    Invitation:  Anyway, over the course of the next month, I am planning to post more on the "Just Diagnosed" forum, to see if I can offer any assistance or kindness to the newly diagnosed sisters.  Some of you go on those threads quite a bit already, and more of us probably should.  I'm inviting all who post here to join me in a Mid-Age outreach effort.   We all can imagine how hard it is to just be getting the cancer Dx at this time of year.  Let's make an extra effort to help with our answers and support.

     What a generous thought!!  God is good God is generous!  May we be His hands to reach out to our sisters, too at this special time of year!

    God Bless!

    Ladies....it is such a gift to have women of faith to share this journey with.  Every morning as I pray to St. Peregrine, St. Agatha and our Blessed Mother I ask for your intercessions along side my own. I want to wish each of you all the Blessings of the Thanksgiving holiday and upcoming Advent season!

    Friday I will leave to see the most favored (only!) grandchild for 10 days so will most likely not post again unless I get to a library while I am away....but you will continue to be in my daily prayers.

    Let us give thanks and praise to our God who is generous, kind and merciful, Amen!

    I am very thankful for all of you.  ALWAYS, however, today is a great remoinder of ALL the other blessings.  And sadly they are so much clearer now!  But in a good way!

    I've worked 3 days in a row...the past 2 in direct pt care...yesterday w/ a bunch of new computer documentation.  It was new in the summer and we went to Physician order entry recently.  Can I just say yesterday I felt as if I was learning how to drive again?  OMG!  Not the pt care...just totally blanked on some of the computer documentation!  I was pretty needy.  But it will be OK!

    I am on call today from 1p to 1a.  AND of course praying no one's child needs emergent surgery...and that I DON't have to go in...but of course will do so if needed(because that's what we do!).  Always makes for gloom w/ anything tragic on a holiday.  A fixable broken bone or appendectomy tho happens too so we shall see!  OK, sorry ....going to find some levity now!

    Alright ladies....Also asking for some prayers that a nasty wound heals well and I can proceed as planned w/ stage 2 DIEP in Nola on Dec 10th.  Still waiting to hear back after I took some photos yesterday......uggg......curse of the nurse?  It's ok...it's the abd incision...the new breasts=tres fab!  AND very special! KEEPING the faith here!

    From the Daily Catholic Bible:  " Impress on yourself this great truth.  Even if all hell's devils come after you to tempt you, you won't sin unless you want to-provided that you  don't trust in your own powers, but in the assistance of God.  He doesn't refuse help to those who ask it with a lively faith."  St. Leonard of Port Maurice

    Sorry that I haven't been posting, but I have been keeping you all in my prayers.  I'm finally home after 3 1/2 weeks in CA for surgeries.  It is so nice to be home for Thanksgiving.  We've got a house full of relatives which is wonderful.

    Just wanted to let you all know that Mary with bladder cancer and liver cancer has passed on and God willing, has spent Thanksgiving wrapped in His arms in heaven.  Please continue to pray for her daughter, Mary who will be starting chemo around Christmas.  God please be with the whole family and let them feel your presence and your love comforting them in this difficult time.

    Thank you all for all of your prayers!  You are the best!  May God bless you every day in the most wonderful ways. Amen
