    Good morning all!

Michelle! I am doing the happy dance too! Praise God your scans are clear :)  (Now If I can join that club soon gr8)  What a relief for you. That feeding program sounds amazing and couldn't be more fitting right now for all the victims. I definitely will check that out. It always makes me feel good to reach out to others.

Making headways in PARP- Now to get ins. approval. Pray it does.  Once I receive my authorization - I'm in ladies. Nice RAD Dr. wants to follow-up on my lump which I'm pretty sure is scar tissue.

Getting ready to celebrate my 80's B-day bash tomorrow w/ family & friends. I'm really looking forward to it. We're expecting a good turn out. Just blessed I can enjoy. (w/an apple martini :)

St. Peregrine & St. Agatha: Please continue your intecessory prayers for all of us suffering from bc and other cancers. In Christ we pray Amen!

    mmm5 great news!

    Happy Birthday Jeannine!!

Prayers continue tonight for  all my BC sisters and all of Haiti.

Catholic Relief Services is a great organization to donate to. Most people don't realize that our Church is in just about every impoverished area in the world, so when something as devastating as this earthquake happens, we already have people and processes in place to quickly bring relief and compassion to those in need. www.CRS.org

God Bless each and every one of us!

    Dear BC sisters,

I am in Ohio (I live in Pa) at the Immacule retreat and it is amazing!!!  I am in the hotel and just returned from listening to Immaculee and Valentine, who is one of the visionaries from Rwanda.  I still can't believe that I spoke with and hugged a woman who has spoken directly to Our Lady and to Jesus!!!  She is so humble.  I prayed for all of my bc sisters.  xo

That's very interesting about the Immacule retreat. I tend to look at those things a little skeptically, although I have no doubt there have been true visionaries. I'm just not sure which ones they are. Let us know more?

Been inactive on the boards lately.  My dad's wife Donna passed away on 1/1/10, so her battle with cancer is over and she's now at peace with our Lord.  She was home and amazingly happy, smiling, and talkative on Christmas Day.  Thank you God for giving her and the family that day.

My prayers are with all you BC sisters, as well as the people in Haiti, and Cathy S. and her doctors.

Looking forward to my exchange...hopefully sometime in the next couple of months and praying that goes well.

God bless, and peace be with you.

Laura....good luck with the salon changes! When I was not working I could easily find the time for daily rosary....now back at work...I use a CD to listen/pray the rosary driving to work, and do the Divine Chaplet CD on the way home.  Feels like I am squeezing it in.....but work is over consuming....blech!

    God Bless each of you!

My surgery is set for 1/28—about a week away. I'm excited and anxious to get it done. I knew when I had my bilat mx 18 months ago that I would have recon eventually, so the time is here.

Thanks, mmm5. Praying makes me feel good.

I had friends in college who got into TM (Transcendental Meditation). They used to go on and on about how good it was to do everyday and how I needed to try it. I just laughed because, you know, prayers are a form of meditation. And you don't have to give several hundred dollars to some swami for a secret mantra to use, lol.

WOW< hard to believe it has been a month since I posted. I have been busy with Christmas, then lesson planning for  CCD, and now my son is "officially" in the 2011 confirmation class.  So much going on prayers for all. Even though I have not posted, I have been praying regularly for all my sisters on this site.

Estepp.. I am 'off' this Sunday for a change.. I could come to your church.. I think my friend (Geri Gumbel sings there)..

I have a funny something to share.

Right after my mastectomy I played at a confirmation.  It was the first time I wore a real bra and I had bought an clear gel insert at the fabric store to put inside.  The Bishop presided and after Mass he came over to thank our choir.  I noticed that he stopped and picked up something off of the floor.  It was my gel insert.  He looked at quizzically and continued on toward us, holding it behind his back.

I thought to myself - " say something.. that thing cost 8 bucks!"  but I didn't.  About 20 minutes later one of my altos came over and handed it to me and asked it if was mine..  He had put it on the table in back.  Perhaps I've told this story before... sorry, if you've heard it.  The last time I saw him I called him something inappropriate like 'your highness'.. that was embarrassing enough.  I saw him last nite and he recognized me as if I were a long lost friend.

building a reputation, embarrassment by embarrassment.

I am embroiled in music controversy.  There are changes coming to the MAss and the Mass music including more Latin, Gregorian chant and various details.  Almost all the musicians in my group have quit because we are working with the pastor's wunderkid.  He's a pain but I am acquiring mega organ skills.....and my pastor is being less than gracious.  sigh..  I have to see him tonite (i'm the parish council secretary).

I pray for grace, tact and peace.  I pray for all of you.

I am interrupting your thread with a very special request.

In this same area (prayers) there's a thread for my dear friend who goes by "Saint."

She has received some serious news today.

She is 'processing' just what it means.

I will read her all the posts tomorrow when we talk.

(She can no longer read, due sight compromises.)

Saint is a good Catholic person, been a member of the choir in her parish for decades etc etc.

I am not Catholic and I know that you can say things to her from your faith background that will literally mean the world to her at this juncture.

Anyone. Anyone at all who is willing to make a post to her, will be a blessing.

Don't feel the need to say, "You don't know me"

Just say praying for you sister...........

Or anything else you can think of that you would want to hear.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

She also has a thread unrolling on the Stage IV thread, if you frequent there......

If you can think of anyone to invite into this love-fest, thru PM or whatever, that would be awesome.

    Strength and courage.

    Strength and courage.

    Strength and courage.

Hilarious story, Apple...although no doubt it wasn't at the time.  You are soooo funny!  LOL!!!  My niece told me she had to use padding in her wedding gown and everything stayed in place until the very end of the evening.  When she and her husband got into the limo to leave the reception, she looked down and in her lap was one of her bra pads.  I'm glad she told me her story, because I had bilateral mastectomies in July and our youngest son's wedding was in September at St. Angela's in Pacific Grove, CA.  It was going to be my first time wearing a bra, too, so I made sure I bought fabric pads and sewed them into my bra...wasn't taking any chances!

I pray for all BC sisters.  Special intentions for Saint and her friend F&F.  Today is my best friend Terry's birthday.  She's a rectal cancer survivor of 10 years!  We've been friends for many years, and I've cherished her friendship always...through fun times and sad times.  Happy Birthday, Terry.  Sending prayers and hugs your way, too.

God bless, and may peace be with you all.
