met some friends for brunch in Albuquerque, and then walked just a bit around Old Town...but it starting raining and was wet and dreary there. Back home in Santa Fe, it is snowing.... I think I will do some snow shoveling also to justify a hot chocolate in front of the fire later tonight!

mickey- the Patriots won and it was a blowout. The Saints and Eagles game was a nail-biter to the end. None of my favorite teams were playing so now I have to decide who I'm going to root for next weekend. No exercise for me today. I cooked and visited with a sick friend today. I have been pet-sitting her beloved Bella since Thanksgiving Day. My friend was very nervous that her dog would not remember her. She was wrong. Bella was thrilled to see her mommy. My friend isn't strong enough to take care of her dog now so Bella had to return to my house. She is happy here but she misses her mommy.

Jo, how very, very nice of you to puppy sit! What a gift you are giving your friend; and she shouldn't worry, dogs never forget their people!

I'm subbing remedial English tomorrow so better soon get to bed because I know I will be kept on my toes all day!!

TT what does a lymph flush in yoga class mean? Totally curious about that.

30 minutes on the dreadmill while watching Anthony Bourdain in Manila on Netflix.

my three-year-old Honda CRV broke down on the expressway today. Fortunately I was able to pull off onto a shoulder and coast into a gas station. I waited almost four hours for the tow truck operator. When he arrived he informed me if any of the homeless people we're bothering me he would shoot them because he was license to carry a gun. I firmly told him there isn't anything I own worth dying over. During our 30-minute drive to my mechanic he constantly texted. He ignored all my request to stop texting while driving. From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. that was my afternoon. My only exercise was the one mile walk from the mechanics to my home. Also, no rental cars available in Miami because it's tourist season. I'm hopeful they will not have my car too long and the process won't be too expensive. Now I'm going to kick back with a small glass of wine and just focus on positive thoughts. I hope all of you had a much better afternoon than I did. One good thing came out of it though, I completed most of my paperwork that's been long overdue. Good night to all of you.

Yesterday my exercise was more snow shoveling since it continued to snow. 42 minutes. Apparently there is nothing more appetite stimulating than shoveling in the cold. I have been ravenous. Then ran up and down stairs cleaning house, doing laundry and discarding clothes. Today nothing more than running to the store at lunch.

Jo that is a bad day. you deserve a full glass.

Falconer I am going to miss Anthony Bourdain. I sure enjoyed that show.

I cant decide if I want the two boy wonders to meet in the Super bowl or the two veterans. Either one would be fun to watch. i have a feeling it’s going to end up East Coast vs West Coast.

    Hello!

Down and out with stomach flu last week. It started last Sunday and I felt much better after Tuesday but have had on and off nausea for the past week. Not much of an appetite. Made it back to gym last Friday so happy I am able to exercise and run again.

Yoga last night. Went to gym tonight, ran 3 miles and Abs, Back & Booty class. Will run again tomorrow and do Barre class after. We leave on Sunday for vacation so trying to get to gym and/or run daily this week. I know next week will be more sitting on a lounge chair sipping pina coladas! 😊 There is a fitness center and daily Yoga at our resort along with some other fitness opportunities. So will try to take advantage of all of that too!

jo: Yikes! What a day. You deserve a nice glass of wine.

Runner: Glad you are over the stomach flu before your vacation!

Hi Everyone. Been busy lately. Saturday was Girl Scout Cookie Delivery Day. Stood outside for 4 hours helping with the process. It was almost postponed bc snow/sleet was predicted. Luckily it was only cloudy But very COLD. Later that day dh's 98 year old aunt called and was sick. We brought her to the hospital. 7 hours later she was admitted with a uti. She's so weak but getting better. Will have to go to assisted living place for a few weeks to get her strength back.

Walked/ran this afternoon then visited a good friend of mine who was discharged from the hospital last week. She seemed fine during the visit. When I got home from the visit she called and said I need you. She told me there are 6 people from the Homeless Shelter who are living in her attic and they wouldn't leave. (She doesn't have an attic). She's hallucinating. I went back to her house to check it out and assure her "the people had left." I notified her sister. Luckily my friend has a doctor's appointment tomorrow. It may be her medicine causing this. She's done this before - it was caused by her meds.

Then I came home and had a big mug of hot chocolate.

The yin yoga practice was 75 minutes of deep stretch or deep twists followed by slow movement...all the while the instructor does an anatomy lesson (this is her usual practice) so I now have a non-BC person's perspective on LE!

Four weeks post exchange, the yin classes are my only approved classes so far.  Get released at 6 weeks to more normal activities, but still no upper body strength or yoga classes that have balancing positions -- that could mean a fall or unintended consequence.

I do go on a business trip next week, at 5.5 weeks out...so will have to manage my luggage through the airport, but did get that approved. TT

Visited my Aunt in the hospital. Walked/ran late this afternoon. Have to attend a meeting in 30 minutes.

Update on my friend who was hallucinating. Her sister brought her to the doctor. He prescribed medicine for her delirium. Don't know what the medicine is but I hope it works!

Glad you are better, Runner. Enjoy your trip!

I hope the medicine works for your friend, Wonderland. Something similar happened to a friend of mine after back surgery and it is very scary.

I went to Pound this morning & then ran a bunch of errands. It's COLD out but is supposed to get VERY COLD so I wanted to get ahead of the game. I also took the grandpuppies for a very brisk walk. Brrrrrrr!!!!!!

wonderland-glad your Aunt is doing better. Hopefully the medication will help rid your friends of her hallucinations / delirium.

I'm without a car for yet another day. Still no rental cars available. My mechanic said that a sensor went haywire on my Honda CRV and subsequently cost the car to shut down. Of course my 3 year warranty expired October 31st. I was very productive today catching up on paperwork. The weather is beautiful it's in the high 60s. I was going for a run but decided I'll wait until tomorrow. Today makes three days without running. Keep On Moving.

Got 45 minutes of a Denise Austin DVD and 15 minutes on my mini trampoline. Volunteered at a Women's Bible this morning. It was cold here today. ( not as cold as Ruth's neighborhood Loopy) Flexitouch pumping so I only have the use of my nondominant hand.

2Fun, good luck with the dexa scan!

The sun finally came out today so I took a long walk at lunchtime at work. My office is surrounded by hiking trails which makes it nice. Lots of elevation gain and views...
