We made it out of cold, stormy North Dakota in the nick of time! Today was a lovely winter in Arizona day. I took a long walk, followed by coffee and reading on the front porch, and an outdoor concert at the Mesa Art Center. I am basking in the Vitamin D!

    That looks pretty refreshing, Ruth.

I finally got around to day one of Yoga with Adrienne Dedicate today. After all this snow shoveling it is probably good to unwind my body.

    Welcome Linny!

Sorry about the strike karen, more stand-offs are not needed in our country theses days. I can't bear to listen to the news these days. I'm feeling more stress, and I'm sure it would be better if I was getting more than one or two days of ex a week.

Thanks for keeping me motivated everyone!

I've been back in California for a combination of work and family visits...so haven't posted in a bit. I am enjoying the sunny weather here and taking lots of walks..anyway, wanted to chime in on Santa Fe just to say that October there is truly beautiful... and that as a resident of the host city, in addition to joining the fun and playing tour guide where I can given that I am new (t)here myself, I will host you all at least one evening for a southwestern bbq party on my portal (what we call a covered back porch in these parts). I look forward to welcoming you all to the City Different!

I've been missing here for quite some time, so I will just jump back in. We are on a 3 month travel trailer trip around the south and west. Currently in Georgia, where it is still getting quite cold at night, but we have heat in the trailer. Today we took our bikes and explored Tybee Island, which must be a hopping beach place when it is warmer, but pretty much deserted this time of year. Yesterday we toured Savannah, and Sunday headed to Jacksonville to visit some old friends. Then next week we travel to the Atlanta area to mingle with fellow Patriots fans and cheer our team on to victory (from a bar!). Then pushing west, and hoping for warmer temps.

I finished my last herceptin and perjeta today. My oncologist was extremely pleased with my labs. He said my labs were back to normal pre surgery. He isn't going to order any scans . He said every three months he will do labs. He also said if I notice any changes on my body or changes in mental or physical status, then he will order scans. My case was reviewed in front of the tumor board this morning. I am okay with not having scans done. I know there were many false positives as well as all the anxiety which goes along with getting a scan and waiting for the results. I trust my MO. I have a 10K bright and early tomorrow morning. It's very nippy out. I think we're going to be in the 50s tomorrow morning. Keep on moving girls.

Hi all, haven't been here in ages and about 24 pages back so have missed much but do think about you all as I exercise.

Mammo today NED though was on pins and needles as they saw something more from last year's but breast ultrasound showed just new dense tissue. It's 10 years and that was the first time I've ever felt anxious but then I was always just in and out. Have MO appointment in 2 weeks and was hoping she would take me off the arimidex, this month makes 10 years on, but now I'm afraid to stop. I've never had problems with that little pill and since mine was the sneaky ILC she may want me to stay on for infinity! Will have to see what the research is now. This journey just goes into infinity.

A rant. When I got home from the mammo, texted my 2 sisters and 1 friend of 60 years, all here in The Villages, to share with them my fright waiting for results. Not one of them acknowledged. We spoke on other things but I think since I've had such an easy time, no problems for 10 years, they just don't get it. Never have really. Oh well, that's why I need my annual BCo trip - can't wait for Santa Fe! Okay, I'm done, all better now.

Been doing well, keeping busy and active. Exercise primarily Walk Away the Pounds and Pickleball. As it warms up here can add back in swimming. Finally dropping weight, about 7 more pounds to go. 2014, I was 203 pounds, now 162 and goal is 155. Oh and January 1st I turned the big 70 years!

Enough for now. Take care my sculpted friends and stay well and moving.

Sounds like fun trips Octo & Pat.

Congratulations, jo, on finishing up your treatments!! Onward and upward!

Glad your mammogram turned out okay, patoo. Next time text me instead. No one who's not been through it can have the slightest clue. Also, if the doctor releases you from Arimidex; it is scary to quit, but also very liberating! Congratulations on the awesome weight loss AND birthday!

Yesterday I took another wonderful walk & will do the same today. So fun to be outside!!! Here's some Food Porn for your enjoyment.

patoo- sometimes people just don't get it. What a frightening experience for you. I'm so glad everything came out good. Keep up the great work with your exercise and weight loss. Congrats on turning 70.

Yesterday was my last treatment. I was very surprised when my oncologist informd me I will be seen every 3 months for labs. NO SCANS. Scans will only be ordered if my labs are bad or lumps or changes in my physical and cognitive status. He reviewed my case in front of the tumor board and all were in agreement. I'm okay with that decision. My oncologist is the chairperson of a breast cancer research facility at a major Hospital. I feel confident he is on top of things. He told me I needed to continue to live my life exactly as I have always lived it. I will continue to be proactive in my care.

I canceled my 10k run this morning. It was 42 degrees and pouring rain. Too cold for my old bones. When I finish work today I'll run a couple of miles. Keep on moving. Santa Fe sounds wonderful.

Ruth- love the food porn. When I have time I'm going to p.m. you to find out more information about Santa Fe. Enjoy your vacation you deserve a break from winter.

Jo. congratulations and you have been awesome in keeping up running this past year - gold star for youEmoji! Ruth, love your lunch! Good on being NED PatooThumbsUp.

Had BodyBalance this morning and did errands and such. Sitting in my fave slouch position here on the couch with propped laptop. DH took DS back to uni yesterday and then they both went north to stay at my MIL as it's her birthday. I'm here with dog. Need to get into tidying the house as my brother and his wife are arriving form Paris on the Eurostar in Ashford Monday afternoon. They are coming to meet up with DH and me for lunch, drop by our shanty for a bit and then back to Paris. I love my bro yet he and sis-in-law are deplorables-ugh. Nuff said on that. Rain and dark out, chicken and ham pie for dinner for whenever DH form his long drive. Happy Saturday everyone!

lilacblue-Too funny. There are a couple in my family, also. It's still cold and rainy here. Soon as I get the dogs fed I'm going to go for a run. I need to suck it up and not be a wuss.

Way to go Jo, sometimes hard to get motivated in the cold but you do great. Awesome that you are done treatment, celebrate that.

Patoo awesome news, others just dont understand, I didnt before this disease got me. So glad for this community.

I am waiting for my urgent gyne appointment as my doc concerned about uterine cancer. I got an appointment March 6 but she says that is too late and looking for someone to biopsy before that.

My calves are sore from stair running yesterday, resting today.

Nan I hope the biopsy finds it to be nothing. No one needs another cancer.

Patoo I join you in the fear of leaving behind the drugs. I get comfortable sometimes and then any little scare or pain and that anxiety is back.

I did some youtube zumba today. It is super cold here so outdoor walking is outand I was too antsy for yoga so I decided on zumba.

Let us know how your appointment goes, Nan.

More walking outside, eating outside, reading outside etc. etc. A polar vortex is screeching down on North Dakota as I type, yikes! I'm glad to NOT be there and am wishing we were staying away longer (the high on Thursday, the day we fly home, is predicted to be 11 BELOW!).

Got an email from my cousin this morning....my aunt who broke her vertebrae a couple months ago was finally home earlier this month...good news.....BAD news...she fell again last week and broke her hip. Surgery the other day. Not sure of next steps....my male cousin (who lives in Banff) has been with his mother with his 8 year old son since last week and he is going home on Wednesday. It originally was planned as a good visit. Then his sister will go up to Montreal. They are still trying to figure everything else. My aunt is only 75....I'm just so sad about this. I feel so bad for my cousins......

A couple nice walks yesterday....need a couple today...tomorrow snow again.

Sante Fe is beautiful, but unfortunately, school calls till I retire!!

    Have a good Sunday.

Ruthbru, thanks. Sitting here with tears from all the love you all have shown. One of the reasons still here 10 years later. Fear may get pushed into the background but never goes away. Will see what my MO says and then go from there. Moffitt was in the area couple months ago with educational seminar. This mammo shook me to the core. May look to visiting them later in year to have records looked over and get their blessing that my MO is on track. Will see.

Jo6359, congrats on final treatment. I was on 3 month MO visit for about 6 years then 4 months for about 2 years and every 6 months since then. Always had labs done but no scans. Would be great if you could join us in Santa Fe.

Nan, yes, sooner rather than wait, physically as well as emotionally.

Again, thanks all. Raining here but think will run over to gym and maybe go for a massage after.

    Later sculpted friends.

nan, I had uterine cancer dx right after being diagnosed with breast cancer. If it is uterine cancer there are good treatments, so don't get too stressed. (Easy for me to say now)Keep us posted.

I would love to meet in Santa fe, but with DH still looking for work, I can't think about it.

karen- I'm so sorry. The important thing is to keep her safe. The whole process is very difficult for you and your family.

Patoo- you're in my thoughts. Moffitt is a great facility and there and there isn't anything wrong with having other experts look over your records. We have to be proactive. I would rather deal with the everyday craziness of life as opposed all the trials and tribulations that come with cancer. We've been getting heavy rains for the past 3 days. When I arrived home today, I found two major leaks inside my home. It's far more difficult dealing with cancer, treatments, possible reoccurrence and anxieties which come with all of the above. Hang in there.

Nan-2Fun is right. Uterine cancer is usually very treatable. I know it's difficult to do but try not to become too stressed out. We are all thinking about you.

Hello - so much going on for many of you since I last checked in. Sending prayers. My DD is moving to Baltimore at the end of this week, so I'm feeling sad. Thinking about Sante Fe - we'll see. I am an introvert by nature but would love to meet you all in person. Have hit the gym or ran for 8 days in a row but have gained a couple of lbs - stress eating I think! Today is a day off.

Congrats on your last treatment, Jo!

Understand the stress of the scans/biopsies etc etc / no matter how far out.

    Lunchtime yoga today.

First day back from a 4 day business trip...made myself into a walking machine to balance out all the sitting of meetings. Got 45 minutes of activity each day...including time on the dreadmill when it was 5pm and I only had 4500 steps on Saturday. Happy start to the week...stay warm. TT

We are exploring coastal Georgia and having a great time on our RV trip. Lots of walking and biking. Yesterday we did a long drive without the RV to Jacksonville FL to visit some old college friends of mine. Today we explored Jekyll Island by bike, it was a beautiful day, even got to have lunch outside. Two more days on Tybee Island, then on to the Atlanta area to cheer on the NE Patriots! We will be watching the game with the Atlanta area Patriots fan club.

8 degrees this morning, so skipping my walk....will try to get out at lunch when it has warmed up. Last night DH and I walked after dinner, I think it was 16 and I was so bundled up - snow pants, a few layers under my down coat and kept toasty warm....but not so brave this morning....warming up into the 50s later this week....Off to work....stay warm and dry.

MickeyB17, no one is more introverted than I was. If you can, please join us in Santa Fe. You won't be sorry and when you want to hide out, I'll join you! (but that won't happen).

jo6359, thanks for the heads up on Moffitt. Are you treated there? Interestingly, had call from my MO office today cancelling my 2/11 appointment because MO leaving the practice here on 2/4! She is referring me to Florida Cancer Specialists office here in The Villages. So decision to change removed from my hands and need to research if FCS or Moffitt is a better choice for me.

10 years in, are we having fun yet.

    Later sculpted friends.
