Wonderful pictures, Heidi!
I subbed today; then grabbed the dogs, met up with a friend, and we all took a wonderful long walk around a local dam.

Did 30 minutes (4.2 miles) on the elliptical tonight. Every half mile I’d jump off and do some burpees. My legs were wobbly by the end! I can feel myself getting stronger each day, but I also am starting to feel more fatigue from the radiation, too.
DogMom great job finishing the race!!

dogmom- congrats on finishing your race. Great job

DogMom: WTG! And you did it in the rain. That's impressive!
TwoHobbies: I bet your yard looks great!
Heidi: LOVE LOVE your gorgeous pictures! You mentioned about wondering if the vibrations from the mower can start up my afib. I don't think things like that cause the heart rhythm to get whacky but I'm going to ask my doctor about it.
M0mmy: How was your workout?
Fritz: For me, fatigue set in half way through my radiation. I had been walking but had to stop bc I was so tired and bc of the heat. I did radiation during June and July and it was especially hot in July.
Ruth: I know you love walking your granddogs!
Today was mow day. Luckily it was in the low 80s with a nice breeze. The breeze always helps!

Dogmom- great for you!
Heidi- awesome views!
Have had an insanely busy week at work which will end in the spring semi formal for the seventh and eighth graders hosted by my student government. So appreciating the virtual encouragement to the finish line.

Haven't been here in weeks! My first girls weekend was fabulous! Drove home just in time for a few terrible storms and more flooding at our rental properties. Had the family over for Easter and its finally Spring here! April ended and May started just absolutely shitty! I got a terrible case of food poisoning (octogirl you understand!)! I was so sick for 4 days! Lost 7 pounds total! Ended up with a vicious bacterial sinus infection from throwing up so much! This was on my daughter's birthday to! Then my precious FIL fell and fractured his hip. He has had a steady decline for years due to Parkinson. My DD had surgery scheduled and I was to keep the kids but was to sick! I just walked around the house crying! My FIL was in Hospice for 9 days and I was able to spend the last 3 days with him. We are all heart broken. It was longest (yet felt short) week of my life.
Loved all the pictures and I'll just say one big CONGRATULATIONS to every one who reached a goal!
Hoping to get back on track especially now that the weather is gorgeous! I'm still weak and having a hard time bouncing back. I can't help but wonder if this stupid LE doesn't make it harder for me to over come illnesses. I have never been one to be sick or stay sick. (I missed 7 days of school my entire childhood and 3 while in college! Worked for the school system 13 years and missed Zero days for being sick..missed a few for surgery)
Karen- thought about you with all the news last night from outside Denver. Sending love and kindness your way

You have had a tough time, Varga. Hope everything settles down & you have a chance to get back to 'normal'
Happy Birthday, Karen. Hope you had a great day despite all the sad things going on in the world.
I subbed again today, walked puppies, am going to Dance2Fit, and will then probably walk dogs again before the night is through. Those puppies are sweet but lots of work!!

Rain all day yesterday so very little walking - wet snow flurries this morning - couple inches in the forecast - I'm sure the mountains will get more - winter storm warnings!!

I've had to limit running over the past few days. Unfortunately I walked a half a mile and climbed about 8 flights of stairs while wearing dress sandals last Sunday afternoon. I ended up with two nickel sized blisters on the top of each foot. Running is out for a few days. I just continue to use weights, resistance bands and a medicine ball. Damn I miss running.

Varga, so sorry to read of the hellish time for you and family. My condolences for the loss of your FIL. Sending healing vibes for getting back on the beam and I think you are right, LE does physically compromise in many way. Take good care beauty - may these early days of loss be gentle for you and family. HeidiHill, love the hike! Happy Birthday Karen! DogMomRunner, good on ya for finishing - well done and in a downpour no less! Falconer, hang in there, time off just ahead. Jo, I'm impressed with what you do with downtime from running. Ruth, how amazing to have yoga outside - welcome to spring! Wonderland, you are awesome and keep mowing! Fritz, I hear ya, feeling stronger is the best.
I went on a women's yoga retreat last weekend (was a 3 day weekend here) and enjoyed it greatly. It was nourishing in many ways, from early meditation, then yoga, healthy delicious vegan meals and many prepared in a instant pot (which I want, so no reduction in material desires, lol) the women were terrific, ages varied with a few mother/daughters together delving into 2 yoga classes a day, workshops on meditation and ayurvedic diet. Back at it this week and last night I spoke at a local women's institute meeting, talking about ageing and exercise. It was fun threw in a sit to stand 30 second assessment and seated tai chi. Most got into it, one didn't but hey ho, when I left, was handed a £35 cheque for little Pink Ribbon Pilates - yay! I'll scoot by the bank today, after Pilates and tai chi for Parkinson's late this afternoon. Let's keep at it and have a good start to the weekend everyone!

lilac- your yoga retreat sounds wonderful. I have to admit I'm a little envious. What a great way to re-center yourself.

Varga so sorry about your FIL.
Karen we have had that Colorado type spring- 70s one weekend, snow the next, 80s the next and then snow again. Hopefully that was our last snow.
i went for a hike in the woods today. My walking buddy dog tore a claw off and isn’t ready to walk yet so i had to go by myself. Every week the wildflowers change- wild tulips and trillium today.

Twohobbies - it happens frequently in Colorado to have summer one day and winter the next!!!! I was looking at "memories" on fb and 4 or 5 years ago, Denver got several inches of snow on May 10th. 70s for all next week -
Have a great week-end.

Tulips will not grow here. I love looking at the pictures of tulips. I usually have to buy mine ready to bloom or already blooming. They don't last very long in this Miami Heat. The pictures you post are stunning.

Wake Up Yoga & 15,000 dog walking steps (so far).

Took yesterday off, and did 30 minutes of interval training today Pushups are still brutal!
0 -
Fritz I still don't like the feeling of pushups when I try them but I am OK with planks.
Jo, I do love tulips. 🌷 You can't grow tulips but we can't grow hibiscus 🌺. Or can only grow them for the summer. Trade offs.
Yesterday was lawn mowing day. I had to do both the front and back before the rain and finished just in time, Its quite good exercise dragging and pushing a mower in that tall thick grass.
HAppy Mother’s day, everyone.

Skagit Spring Classic ride yesterday. Did the metric century (62 miles) route. Just glorious weather and spectacular scenery though kept meeting up with a huge harrowing rig.
Stopped at Snow Goose Produce who have all manner of local produce and such. (Though their big draw is the ice cream which I skipped.) Came back with local microbrew, some veggies, and a rosemary plant. Got dinner there as discovered that they had fresh-caught local porcupine shrimp (unavailable elsewhere as extremely local) which had also been cooked. Ah....shrimp cocktail, especially since they also sell amazing cocktail sauce. Brought it all home for a feast for the gods of all-you-can-eat shrimp cocktail and a salad of local lettuces with leftover roasted asparagus.
Dragging a bit today. Attaching pictures. And yes, the bib cycling shorts were a great success. Much more comfortable when you're not tugging because they slithered southward. - Claire
