Went to radiation, my only out. rode bike, did my usual exercises, My local YMCA of wish I miss terribly has posted work out videos online so I can stream them to TV and work out. That is so helpful. Walked my dog several times. He is going on 8 years old and looks at me and his eyes say " what now? another walk? you go by yourself this time" LOL

Wonderland, I was wondering if some states were like the UK. I did a live zoom yoga class yesterday with 299 others!

Inspired by Rosen children's book We're Going on a Bear Hunt, teddy bears and other cuddly toys are popping up in windows across New Zealand to give children something to look forward to on their neighbourhood walks during the lockdown.

A mother and child spot a teddy bear in Christchurch, New Zealand. Inspired by Rosen's We're Going on a Bear Hunt, the toys have been put out to give children something to look forward to during the lockdown.

I have a teddy bear in my living room window - thinking of putting a couple more that are more colorful! I like seeing the bear when I walk up the driveway to the front door :)

Five mile drills today, the temp was just about perfect--mid 50s (F). I do love running so much.

HI all, somehow I got bumped off this list on my favorites page. Didn't realize for a couple of days and kept wondering...no one is exercising...or just sharing...can't be.

After a wonderfully warm (75+) weekend here in SE Virginia the pine pollen bloom has turned everything a gross green/yellow. Up until then I had the DH and myself take long walks, but yesterday and today is inside streaming classes. The pollen is so bad that when I come home from school (where I upload my video classes) I take off my clothes and wash off the pollen in my hair/face/arms...uck! TT

At least you know you will be perfectly clean, Trm!

Snow is headed our way...boo.....we'll walk the dogs & I can choose between PiYo or Blissful Yoga on Zoom tonight (or do both). We are trying to support the local eating establishments, who are still doing pickup and/or delivery, by ordering out once or twice a week. A catering service (who has no catering business right now) is offering a different meal each day Tuesday-Friday. You order a day or two ahead, pay online, show up at their business between 3-6 on the day of your meal, call a number and they'll run your order right out to your car (why do I feel like I'm getting involved in a drug deal?!). I ordered Chicken Pot Pie for tomorrow.

The Wednesday Walking Women are still walking alone together. DH & I will walk the dogs again (it sounds like we have some nasty weather coming in tomorrow). I can do Zoom Pound and/or Zumba tonight.

I have been working from home for the past 2.5 weeks. This allows me to get a 20-40 minute walk or run each morning. I do weights at home with light hand weights or body weight (lunges and pushups). Jump rope and bike rides. Sunday we went to a nearby state park and walked some trails for nearly 3 hours. Springtime in South East of USA is usually the best weather with plenty of daylight.

Also since I am home so much, I have tackled scrubbing the front porch with vinegar to remove mildew from the bricks (working on one small area at a time). The HOA sent out a threatening email about this so that gives me extra motivation.

Just getting back into exercise this week as was dealing with/recovering from an infected tooth. Did a Zoom Live Yoga session yesterday with the dear Yoga teacher from my local Cancer Support Community. Today, did a couple of Jenny Ford DVDs available on Amazon - low impact marching & a toning with weights. On Silver Sneakers on demand videos - found a good Tai Chi routine that is similar to my "regular" tai chi practice + a Latin Dance - did these on Monday. Ordered a beginners Zumba DVD & received it just before "lockdown" - did that on Sunday. While closet cleaning, unearthed an old series of Mari Winsor Pilates DVDs, all unopened. May take a look at these tomorrow.

Just in from a 4 mile walk which was at least partly sunny. Stopped by my local supermarket yesterday for basics and just had to take a picture of this.

Otherwise, buried with work. Hope to get out for a fun hike in one of the spaces that is open for hiking this weekend plus another bicycle ride. - Claire

Ruth - weather moving in here today as well - right now its foggy and I think drizzling out - snow later today and tomorrow. Will definitely interfere with walking. The past 2 days were good walking days - Walked while talking to gf on the phone instead of sitting on my behind! DH even go to 10K steps 3 weeks post-op :).

Fur baby updates - I start backwards - we went to see the Shepherd yesterday - gorgeous dog, but waste of time - too many red flags first we were told we had to stay across the street while she walked the dog - then don't look at her, don't look at her in the face - and on and on. Don't know why we spent as much time as we did!!! Should have left right away!!!!

BUT - the Dobie on Tuesday was a love !!!!!! The foster mom was great!!! She has two of her own Dobies. WE fell in love instantly. Spent about an hour. By the end Brio (Dobie's name) was laying on the ground with DH rubbing his belly - he was good on a leash with me for a short walk. Knows a few commands. He's about 1.5 so still some more learning to do. The history we know is that the shelter picked him up wandering the streets in November. Went to rescue after 2 months when put on the K*** (can't write it out) list. Dobie has been with foster Mom since January and she has loved on him and training him. Foster Mom called last night and virtual home visit today via face time. She said after that, we could have Dobie. DH and I are a little nervous - mostly cuz we don't have what we need so going to see if we can wait till Sunday. We have 2 giant dog crates, but one was from our St. Bernard and the other was even bigger that our 2 Berners shared. I don't think we need one that big. Also need to decide where to put it. We had the dog crate in the same place in our family room for probably 20 years, but after we said good-bye to Mischa we put a piece of furniture that was my late father's. I don't want to move it. So thinking the hall bathroom that we only use the sink and/or toilet or may DD#2's bedroom. We have old leashes and dog bowls, but I may want to buy new plus a good collar for walking/training. Here are a few pictures of our meet and greet with Brio. I love his floppy ears!!! Wish the trash can wasn't in the background!! It's 7 months that we've not had a fur baby - I've had a dog since I was 9 and DH always had dogs. When we met, DH had a chow and when we got married, DH inherited my cocker/poo! Lots of fur babies over the next 42 years!!! My kids are happy for us.

Need to place an order for pick up at the grocery store. Need a couple more things for Passover, but I'll have to go to the kosher deli to get it as they don't take orders for less than $50 and I only need about $20. We will order with for pick up from Petco for Brio or on Amazon. Doing my best to stay out of stores.

    Stay safe and stay healthy.

What a pretty, pretty dog! I am so excited for you!

Here's a picture DS texted me last night of what he found when he entered his dining room. Along with puppies, he has two 8 year old cats, who obviously have some influence over their young canine companions, and proof that dogs should not be raised by cats!

Ruth - I love the picture but rut roh (as Scoobie Doo says) and so true about cats not raising dogs.

We face timed the virtual home visit with the foster mom - was able to give her a virtual tour of the house and yard and answered all her questions. We are going to wait till Sunday to bring Brio home. We need to get a few things and get ready. We have 2 dog crates, XL and XXL but don't know if we need the XL - so looking at a large - foster mom is going to send dimensions of the one the rescue loaned her. We put the XL in the hall bathroom for now and it takes up the whole bathroom!! I don't want to put it back in the family room as I really love having my late father's end table (it was his pipe cabinet). So nice to have a reminder specific to him. If we need to keep the XL crate we will put it to entrance of living room and find something to put over the laminate floor so it doesn't scratch. Family room is tile.we were kind of nervous this morning, but now we are excited. After 7 months we will have a fur baby again. Just waiting for the gal from the rescue to touch base with us for final pieces - like paying and any paperwork.

Cold, dreary and drizzly. Need to go back into the garage to move stuff so I can put my car back in - had to move bikes and lawn mower to get measurements (on a tag) on the XXL crate.

Need to get busy and learn more for work!!!

Temperature is down to 24, cold, damp and still drizzling. 1-2 inches of snow for Denver. Going down to 18 tonight, 44 tomorrow and near 70 by beginning of the week.

I did a 2011 Denise Austin DVD called Sculpt and Burn. 20 minutes of kickboxing and sports drills and 20 minutes with weights, plus a good warmup and cool down. I know why it was buried in the pile. It was hard!

I am loving all the pics of the dogs. Are you joking about cats raising puppies? I have only had cats as pets, but would love to have a dog. DH is allergic to both cats and dogs, but he has managed many years with the cat he had growing up and the two we previously had.

Love also the covid jokes. Laughter is great therapy.

I’m getting plenty of walking and running in with some weights and bike rides thrown in the mix. Will try Ruth’s link to Yoga Nidra

Glad to see everyone still on the exercise track. Got back a week ago after things were looking crazy crazy in New York and my flight home got canceled at the last minute. DH and I were making calls, etc. but I finally had to buy a new ticket on business. I would have stayed on which is what my SIL would have preferred but I was not sure hospitals would want to go through the bother of checking my foreign health insurance even if they had capacity should I get stricken. And the grocery situation was a lot worse than at home where things are pretty orderly. I felt guilty using up tissues, toilet paper and hospital provided masks. In the end my brother was much better, gaining weight, feeling stronger facing the future with metastatic pancreatic cancer. It was a crying fest parting but I wanted to be home during a pandemic. Hoping I can still get to see him.

Thanks for thinking of me, LB. What a beauty, karen and hope DH is recovering nicely.

Of course we all were thinking of you HeidiHill and so pleased to see you posting. It must have been quite intense to be in NYC, including under the conditions for your visit as well. It was enlightening to read your brother coming to terms with his diagnosis. I can well imagine you being there helped greatly and yes, parting must have been difficult. So now you are home, how is that for you three or four including your sweet dog? Everything I read regarding Switzerland shows a huge pressure and high number of those testing positive. Karen, Brio is beautiful so stately and shiny. Ruth, love the photos and mems. CeliaC, good going on finding tai chi you like - I'm trained in Paul Lam tai chi for health. GoKale4320, you are jamming!

As well as HIIT with son for exercise, each day this week I added an hour of real-time-yoga on Zoom with a terrific guy in California at 4:30. Todays theme was funky Friday and we rocked to Bill Withers (rip) at the end.
