I'll be here cheering for you on Mary! Thanks Badger -- SAB, PRP is a free pink ribbon pilates class I started recently with an instructor from the gym who has become a friend and dedicated to working with women like ourselves. Welcome Candie and Cass and I find this thread a real inspiration and helpful support, in many ways.

Yesterday, freestyle step and body balance at the gym -- today a 5k run and it was really comfortable.

Have a good Saturday night Everyone!

    Thank you Lilacblue.

Mary you are my idol of the week.  Will be thinking of you tomorrow.  Have a great time!

DH dragged me out for 9.71 miles of hiking/slogging through hilly terrain this morning.  Ouch.  Ouch.  Ouch.  In a good way of course.

It was in the 70s today......straight from winter to summer! Walked and walked, then a little buns & abs.

Mary, I wore my Sculpted Shirt all day as a pre-race kickoff. I am excited for tomorrow.....just doing it is the awesome thing.....break a leg! (only metaphorically, of course)

Good luck tomorrow, Mary!  I have the race URL added as a fave and will check your bib # once I come in from morning walk (timed to start with you).  COOL!!

SAB, I went through a bunch of mix tapes - for walking, biking, dancing and partying - and came up with a list of songs I like to listen to while I exercise because they keep my feet moving.  It's a long list (cut down from 80) and alphabetized so I'll post in 2 batches.  Here's one of my faves: Get On Your Feet by Gloria Estefan.

I think it's true that we've all been through
    Some nasty weather
    Let's understand that we're here
    To handle things together
You gotta keep looking onto tomorrow
    There's so much in life
    That's meant for you

I can't imagine cycling with music.  I want to see/experience all that is out there.  Today, it was wind and the essence of SPRING.

And of course, work.  I did get to see my friend Amanda's early choreography for a multi-media adaptation of a play she is doing.  Great stuff, even if I don't quite agree that "all of us are enslaved by the system". (I always find it very amusing that the writers of this stuff always think it's "others" who are enslaved.")

So a busy day followed by a fab dinner. Mmmmmm.

Hoping for a much longer ride in the AM.  Good luck tomorrow, Mary!!!! - Claire

Today I did a 3.5 mile fast walking/slow jog.    I'm trying to lose the lbs and lower my estrogen.  Took about two weeks off because I was getting very dizzy after my exercising and got sick from the dizziness.  But now I'm better and I'll keep you posted.

Good morning all and welcome newyear13.  Got on my t-shirt and headed out to "start" with Mary but then realized I had the time conversion backwards.  It's an hour EARLIER here than there so she started at 6 my time and has been going two hours now.  YOU GO GIRL.  I'll "finish" with you instead.

    BTW yesterday I walked 90 mins 8.25 km = 5.13 miles.  TTFN

    YAY MARY!!! Way to go!!

Did my 10.5 run w/my son this morning.  We did 2 5+ loops. The first loop I got scared. He was running so slow, it felt like running w/an old man. I could've gone so much faster but didn't want to discourage him. Then the 2nd loop he decided he felt great so he blew me away!! Great run.

I'm in tears reading these posts!  Those last few miles were rough, but I thought of you guys and really could feel the energy!

I'm exhausted but triumphant.  And I didn't finish last - I finished in 12,923rd place out of about 15,000 runners.  I finished 219 in my age group - that sounds much better!

Foolishly tried to go to the Nats game after the race - lasted exactly one inning.  Home safe and dh just cracked a celebratory bottle of champagne!   I think I will sleep very well tonight!  Cool

Me part way through the race.

Me at the finish, holding my Tiffany box.  All finishers got a Tiffany necklace!

    Go Sculpted Sisters!!!!
