Sheeeeeilllaaa  I am here, work and soccer schedule is crazy but I am keeping up on my reading  Laughing (even if I have to sneak online at work to do it)

On the thinning hair, have you ladies tried Biotine???  I started taking 5000 mg in Feb and my hair started growing like a chia pet, I haven't taken it for several months now ($$$ issues) and it is like my growth has stalled.  Maybe it will help for thinning hair too...

I have been taking Biotin without results.  maybe I am not taking enough.  I've thought about Rogain, but with a hx of cancer I worry about purposely putting a chemical on my skin.

Haircut was lovely but bad news - my hairdresser has bought her own salon and instead of it being a 6 minutes drive to have my hair done it will now be a 20-25 min drive.  Rats ...... she is so good and does such a wonderful job with my hair that I am loath to lose her.  Discussed with her my thinning hair and she said 'your hair is not thin really - some of my clients, young and old, have much thinner hair than you'.  I guess it is all relative but it is way thinner than it was b4 Femara and I would like it all back.  Sheila - mine started falling out from about 6 months on Femara but it has accelerated in the last 9 months - hoping it will stop soon.

Didn't buy the Regain as my friendly pharmacist wasn't there today and he is the only one I trust to really know what I should and shouldn't be using in over the counter products.  Haven't heard of Biotin - will ask the pharmacist about that too.

My hair has been really thinning this past year. I have one of those hair jar/cup/containers from old that belonged to my Great Grandmother - you know, one of those with like a very little bowl & the lid/cover has a 1" hole in the center & they used to put their hair from their brush in it or fuzz or thread & save it. They would stuff pillows & things with it when they had enough saved.

Anyhoo, the point I'm making is every time I pick the hair out of the tub after my shower, I think of putting it in that container & saving it! I could have made a really nice pillow by now. Laughing

I'm thankful I've always had very thick hair all my life, so I have some to spare. I remember sitting outside at my Grandma's when I was little & she would thin my hair with those thinning shears. I hated that, but my Mother wanted it done. Still, I do not like the thinning & wonder when it will stop.

I do take a Biotin supplement, maybe I'll check with my Onc next visit & see if it's okay to up the amount.

By the way, I'm on Aromasin & I'm very sure that is the cause. I had normal hair loss before & shortly after I started that little white pill. The longer I'm on it.....

Val, I have my grandma's dresser set.  Brush, comb, hand mirror and hair container.  She collected hair from family and friends so she had every shade and color possible.  She crafted brooches of flowers.  They were the daintiest, most beautiful pins you can imagine.  I wish I could have wached her make them but I was only 3 when she died--she was 90.

Morning Meece - I am off to 'babysit' my friends dog for the day. She is on holiday in Aussie and her husband's brother has died and he is flying to the funeral today.    Just had to catch up with my BCO friends before I go though.

How very strange that all of you are talking about thinning hair.  I have a head full of hair but it seems as though since I started the Tamoxifen in Feb my hair has began to thin.  It seems that when I wash it that there is also more of it in the sink or shower.  I thought it was my imagination and mahy still be because I do have long hair and long hair balls up when it comes out, hence when you brush it or wash it which ever and you lose 150 or so strands and they ball up (which is what you are suppose to lose everyday) it will look like more.  I know that when I go and get my hair cut every 8-10 wks I still have to have my hair thinned for it to lie down.  :)

Sheila... I don't care for those Goldfish crackers they are so not my favs, but my granddaughter loves them, actually all my grandchildren love them.  LOL!!! But I love the Milano cookies!!!

Thinning a little bit all over not in one spot I think.  But I really can't be sure it's thinning at all like I said my hair is long and we are suppose to shed at least 150 hairs a day and when you have long hair it tends to wad up so it seems like more.  I know when I pull my hair up in a pony tail the holder will break if I'm not careful when I'm trying to wrap it around my hair, tha't's how thick my pony tail is.  I guess most people would say that's not thin.  LOL!! It just seems like it is a little thinner through the crown and the thickness than it use to be, but what do I know.  My beautician thins my hair with thinning shears everytime I get my hair cut to make it lay down because it is so wavy/bushy and coarse.  I flat iron it to make it lay straight.  I have always had naturally wavy hair but the texture really changed after I had chemo when I was in high school.

I guess some things come with age too.

Post M. anti hormonal pills, i must be drying inside.

I had very healthy amount of hair even after chemo came back exact the same texture and color.

Maybe i should cut it short. I will try anything. I like hair on my head. Why the hair on other locations get thin or disappear

I want my hair to regrowFrown

LOL... yep the hair in the other areas does get thin and it does disappear with age!  That is definitely hormone related and nothing we can do about that.  Both men and women experience that even hair loss on the head.  Sorry ...

I need my hair cut, BAD. My salon gal is going on maternity leave in a few weeks, so I'm trying to stretch it out a bit to get it cut just before she does so I can make it until she comes back. She always says I can go to her house, which I have done before, but I hate to do that. I always tell her she'd get more $$$ that way, tho, cos she would get all the $$$, not just the tip!

I'm almost done packing, have my clothes to do tomorrow. I will be gone from this Sat, Oct 2 - Mon, Oct 11. Going north to play with my grandchildren!  Innocent

I'll be around online tomorrow on & off & will say good-bye tomorrow night. I may post while I'm gone, my DD always tells me to get on her computer if I want, but I never do. When she was down here recently, I told her all about my wonderful, special Sisters here, & that I miss you all when I'm up at her place. She told me I can write you while I'm there if I want. I might pop in on you all, so you'd better BE GOOD!!  Wink
