Sheila, no...I was just curious as I have a similar problem to your's ......I thought mine was due to Letrozole, maybe I should see another dermatologist?

My scalp vasilates from being itchy to being painful, plus so much thinning on top and the sides. No build up of flakes.

Mine started like pain...couldn't even touch those areas.....

Pain went away and itching started......This is more than a year now......

You sound like it's very uncomfortable......i would make an appointment with a Dermatologist

    Hugs.....

Hi, checking back in after a few days under the weather....I just wrote a long post and, as has happened to many, the post just disappeared suddenly.  Too tired to re-write it all...but I was sending good wishes to those with good tests, milestones, or to encourage anyone having a challenging day.
Is anyone feeling the stress of the holidays already?  All I want to do is sleep...or go someplace warm.
Anyone have tinnitus?  I never ever had anything going on, and now I have this from time to time over the last week or two.  It's so weird.
Overall, am grateful that I am feeling well and able to do most of the things I need to do and want to do.
    Hugs to all,

    Joan

Joan, I have had tinnitus for more than twenty years. I've been on Letrozole for the past. 8 months and I'm just starting to notice that my tinnitus seems "louder" these days......bit scary as I worry about my hearing.

I know what you mean about the holidays. Last year I had just finished chemo so we really scaled back our activities, decorating and such. Afterwards we realized how much less stressful it all was. This year my DH doesn't even want to put up our tree. I think our DS and DDIL would be very disappointed so we will but we are seriously thinking about going someplace warm next year. It would be different if we had grandkids I'm sure.

Holidays can be difficult ...PARTICULARLY if we cannot do some of the things we would like to do or always did .

For me,  I now have LE and I will miss the 'BLK FRI fight' that I looked forward to doing with my girlfrineds...shopping online isnt quite the same and I couldnt possibly keep up with them or carry things through the mall etc etc ....

Yes, we call can figure out ways to scale down or do things differently , but there still may be a sense of loss.

At the same time, many of us feel particular gratitude at the holidays, but it may be bittersweet.

    Happy Holidays to all!

Joan - I have had tinnitus associated with an ear injury/virus or disorder (I've had 3 different diagnoses) for about 8 years.  It has been much worse lately for some reason (Arimdex or other meds?).  For the past few years I either had gotten used to it or it had eased up a bit and I really didn't notice it unless I focused on it.  However, it's been really annoying and hard to ignore for the past month or so...very loud and distracting.  Hope yours goes away as mysteriously as it started!

Tina...we have the same issue.....since starting Letrozole it has become frustratingly louder for me also.....It was bad enough before but now it is just constantly LOUD.....grrrrr....I hope when we finish our little pill, it will at least go back to how it was.

Hawk- yeah! That's what I'm talking about!!!!! So glad

And for you as well, Wren- I want us all here for many many moons:)

Mimi- I hate waiting for results for anything - I am so obnoxious about it the docs finally get it:) although I don't have mammon anymore since the bmx-my breast surgeon does an ultrasound in the office and thorough physical exam of my breasts

Joan- I hear you and I am trying to force myself to take another tack... To remember the wonder from when I was a child - when I could take a lump of clay paint it and give it to someone I loved and they would love it in return...a gift from the heart...if I get down I will try to allow myself some slack then do my best to shake it off....I don't want to get lost in the frenzy though...what's the point? I always like asking people on a mission to be so damn busy getting everything perfect- what do you remember from Christmases past? Do you remember what you bought or got that really made an impact? Most of us don't not really and for me, it doesn't count if there is a Christmas list from anyone over the age of 6... Unless someone is in dire need of something - in which case I'd do my best to get them immediately instead of waiting for a holiday- the best gifts are what we feel in our hearts and know about the person...some thoughtfulness and it may often land up being something very inexpensive but zings right to them- cause it shows we know the person- id much rather just get and give gifts like that to a few and save the list purchases for groups like the homeless and disadvantaged- I'm not trying to sound like a preacher but I am really feeling this way....if I have to tell you what I want then you do not know enough of me to be buying me a gift...visa versa....I love spontaneous gifts ... Where you find something and say oh man they would love this - where it hits ya...those kind of gifts can be a few bucks to way lots of bucks but that's the beauty if you keep the gift giving to those you feel in your heart not because you feel you HAVE to buy them something. I can actually remember those few things over the years that hit me in my heart...same as I can remember someone's face lighting up with recognition when they opened theirs....it really speaks of the heart.

I'm pretty philosophical today I guess...geez sorry for the essay but I am so damn amazed when I woke up and understood two years ago today I had my bmx and it is two years that I have been cancer free. I'm allowing myself to forget all the other bs from these two years and saying YEAH!!!! I am alive and looking forward to A LOTTA MO!

I love you all and thanks for indulging me these ramblings....

I have tinnitis, but it doesn't seem to be getting any worse on anastrasole. I have a funny story about discovering DH has tinnitis. We were backpacking in the mountains and camped near a stream. There were crickets behind our campsite and they were really really loud. DH looked at me and said "Do you suppose there are crickets around here?" He couldn't decide if it was his ears or really crickets.

Wren, that's exactly what my tinnitis sounds like.....crickets....I'm so happy when I go up north in the summer.....the sound of crickets is everywhere, so I feel "normal" again...lol

Mornin' - I sure am Sheila, I got back last Wednesday night. While San Francisco was ok, I am actually glad to home so I can get on with living so to speak...I like establishing my routine, to find a rhythm, instead of the whole holding my breath passing time waiting kind of life. Which seems I have spent a goodly amount of time doing. It's very new to me and interesting in a good way for the most part, since it is truly the first time to not base living on another.
