Wow, can't believe so many of us have the ringing ears...I first read about it on BCO and thought How weird is that?  I never thought I'd have it.  I was feeling very sensitive to electronics recently, and then the tinnitus became recognizable.  It's worst at night (now).  during the day if I am busy, I do not notice.  I was hoping it was those big solar flares on the sun....but sounds like it may be around for awhile. I never get sick....darn!

Annette, how noble it is to be anti-gift list.  My family is big on sharing lists.  And as my grandkids grow, I really don't know if they want Barbies or Monster High dolls.  So I ask....but I do love the surprise thing...My DH is impossible to impress and he is very adamant that the gift must be on time or it doesn't count.  So yesterday I was looking for a Broadway show and I found a drama starring Al Pacino - DH's favorite - so I got tix up front and I just knew it was the right gift!  So I really do hear you on this.
That is why I am up tonight...My DS in San Francisco will be 29 on Wednesday.  I am trying to find the right gift for him...he refuses to give a list; and last Christmas he brought us the most meaningful gifts when he visited.  He does it well.
Wren - crickets?  like chirp chirp?  Mine is much more like a high tension wire continuous hum.  I don't know enough about it to know if I should worry about this or not.
Well, didn't decide on the gift...maybe in the morning.
Nite all, and enjoy the holiday festivities.  Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday...a day when all can celebrate.
    Nite all,

    Joan

You got it Joan! And truthfully, it's something I want to do across the board but that never means I do it all the time! Lol.- and go get another ticket for that show as I love Pacino myself:)

I hope everyone has a great day

Joan, DH has the crickets. I have the background high frequency white noise most of the time. A few times I had loud tones which were painful.

Granny, I'm sure glad you went in. Those are not dx to ignore. Hope you feel better soon. Do you eat yoghurt for your tummy? It needs to be the plain kind with natural cultures. You can add fruit if you wish.

And I guess that puffer is makin me tired..all I did was sleep today.

Granny Kantalope!  Is this you that I read that is SICK???? WTH girl?  I can't leave you alone for 5 minutes without you getting into trouble aGAIN!!!

You have all that "stuff" going on?  Man, I am soooooo sorry!  I know exactly how you feel.... I went through  that last year..... Seems like everyone else gets the sniffles, and yet WE, the WOMEN that we are, have to do it harder and go all OUT and get soooooooooo sick!!!

Okay I know the z-pack, and the coughing!  DH wanted me to "get a room" somewhere, ha!  It was summer, so I tried sleeping outdoors on the swing, so the coughing would not bother at least HIM!

Can you get ahold of a Nebulizer?  You can buy them online, for a lot cheaper than buying them from your Doc... Then get a prescription for the "Albuterol mix".... The treatments really helped me, like 3 times a day....  Only thing is, after a couple weeks, your mouth gets thrush, but it goes away.....Undecided  It was the hard COUGHING that was the worst.

My family thought for sure I was going to die.... and probably wished I would have, Undecided with that cough!  I just wanted to be left alone, and not hear it, because I couldn't help it!

No, cough syrup didn't help much...even the prescription one.

Just take care of yourself.... you'll get better in a year or two........  I'm sorry...... Miss you little Princess!  xoxoxoxo

Granny, Drink LOTS of water. It helps thin the mucus so you can get rid of it.

Happy Thanksgiving all!  Hope you are doing better little Kantalope.... WTH, did your computer run out of R's???????  Or is this some sort of Southern drawl you picked up somewhere?

And Wren is right.... I know you like water about as much as brussel sprouts, but you HAVE to drink it!   Also, are you using the Advair inhaler?  You have to use it on a regular basis, because that's how it works....  And rinse your mouth out after every time.  It is not a "rescue" inhaler like the fast acting ones.  And if you don't have one, ask your Doc for a prescription.

Just waiting till 9 to put the 20 pound turkey in......  Got everything all ready, so now I just have to put it all together, and either bake, or warm it up! It's just DH, our Daughter & I.... Ha!  But I love to cook Thanksgiving....!  Been doing it since the year we got married, in 1957...(like I knew what I was doing) Wink  But we had HIS family over, (mine was gone) and it all went good!

So heres to another one gals!  May we all meet right here again NEXT year!

You could get thrush, but I have lung disease and havent so far ( knock on wood!  Wink)
The trick is to rinse your mouth thoroughly after each tx- esp if it incl. a corticosteroid inhalant.

    Get Well!

Yes Purple, you are right..... I was using the Nebulizer, plus the inhalers, and was not rinsing my mouth!  My dumb fault!  Undecided  Then it felt like sand in my throat.... I looked and thought "holy cow!"  It was everywhere....  So from then on, I rinsed my mouth, ate lots of yogurt, and it got better.

Also, Aloe Vera juice mixed in a smoothie, really helps also.... Yes Kantalope, I'm talking to you..... Ha!  It would really soothe your stomach issure also.  xoxoxoo

SO!  It's your iPad that's driving you crazy? Wink  A Vent Olio?  Isn't that what we used to use as butter?  I mean the white squishy block with that yellow ball food coloring thing?   And you're not "Betta"..... You're "better."........You don't have any r's on the ipad either?

Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.... Our DD really helped out with the cleaning up, and that's the hardest part I think...

Hope you guys don't mind me teasing Granny.... "Princess Kantalope".... I don't know what it is, but she is somehow like my wayward kid, who always gets herself into trouble, or is out to get someone, Ha!  Or out playing poker with the boys.... And I am like her doddering older Sister or someone who is trying to keep her in line....

    Have a nice day all!
