    Hi G,

I have added you to the prayer list and hopefully everyone will see that change and add it if they already printed. Thank you for letting us know and we will be praying. Another one of our members, Bev had that same surgery quite a few months ago and did very well. She hasn't posted for while but I think still reads. Maybe you could send her a PM if you have any questions. There is a thread on that topic I believe which you may already know. Have a great weekend and glad your infections are all over.

    Love, Nancy

Hello everyone and update: I'm out of surgery and Praise God no infection no amputation! It was a Seroma which is fluid build up in the surgery tissue which was cleaned and a drain tube put in place and I'm given antibiotics. Also my port was accessed and used during surgery which for me it's a big positive deal sine I'm scared of IV s because in 2013 I had an IV infiltration in another surgery. Thank you for your prayers and PTL

Aurora, that is GREAT news. Praise God. Praying they can drain this quickly and you can get on with your recovery. What a scare you have had. I am so glad that this turned into something easily treatable. I had a seroma after me breast surgery too. It is not pleasant to have any complications but so glad that this was not the worst that you had feared. Rest and know we have all been praying for you dear sister.

    Love

Nancy, thank you for the prayer list. I sent it to my email so I can see it and pray over it each day.

Aurora, I am rejoicing at your wonderful news. Thank you Jesus.

Ellen I hope your recovery is going well.

Jo I am praying for supernatural wisdom and revelation in how to treat your issues. What a faith journey.

I have been praying over the list for you all.

My hubby and I are planning to leave on Sunday to spend a week at the Kushi institute in Massachusetts to learn more about the diet he has been on that has gotten him off all diabetic meds. His sugar has gone up a bit so we need a reset. I am again up in the middle of the night with pain and stressing over details of my upcoming surgery such as preparing a room on the lowest level where I can stay before I am able to climb stairs since there are 5 levels and 4 staircases in our home. Also how cooking can be done for hubby while I recover. I know God will help me prepare and that He will provide for all the detsils. Now I need my emotions to catch up with my rickety faith. I think of Jesus telling Peter that Satan has desired to sift him like wheat but that He has payed to the Father that his faith fail not. Dear ladies, our loving Jesus is doing that for each one of us as we face these challenges. I am grateful for His love, mercy and faithfulness when my faith wavers. Love, Jean

Aurora, that is absolutely great news. Yes, prayer works!

Nancy, thanks so much for your list and the work that went into it. I asked the Lord for His favor as I read through it. Just a thought, I wonder if it would make any sense if you started a new thread, maybe same title '#2'? That would allow you to put the list in the main window and then you would be able to edit it as necessary. A note could be added to the end of this thread pointing people to the new one. Just an idea for down the line maybe.

It's a Good Thing to Hope for Help from God

    This,

is a fairly long passage but it ministered,to me in the midst of pain last night when I couldn't sleep. Hoping it helps someone else as well.

    Lamentations 3:19-33 from The Message

19-21 I'll never forget the trouble, the utter lostness,

the taste of ashes, the poison I've swallowed.

I remember it all—oh, how well I remember—

the feeling of hitting the bottom.

But there's one other thing I remember,

and remembering, I keep a grip on hope:

22-24 God's loyal love couldn't have run out,

his merciful love couldn't have dried up.

    They're created new every morning.

    How great your faithfulness!

I'm sticking with God (I say it over and over).

    He's all I've got left.

25-27 God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits,

to the woman who diligently seeks.

It's a good thing to quietly hope,

quietly hope for help from God.

    It's a good thing when you're young

to stick it out through the hard times.

28-30 When life is heavy and hard to take,

go off by yourself. Enter the silence.

Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions:

    Wait for hope to appear.

Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face.

The "worst" is never the worst.

31-33 Why? Because the Master won't ever

walk out and fail to return.

If he works severely, he also works tenderly.

His stockpiles of loyal love are immense.

He takes no pleasure in making life hard,

in throwing roadblocks in the way

So sorry for not posting:  but have been reading and praying for you all.  You all have been my unknown lifeline since I got chemo last Wednesday.

Not sure why, but this last one really got me.  Knuckles on hands starting to redden and then peel like with taxol.  Nausea, exhaustion, you name it.

I need prayers for work tomorrrow.  I made it Thursday but have done nothing since then.

The God news is that after 3 more treatments, by tumor marker went from 276 to 86!!!!!  Normal is 40:  so maybe after this last one Wednesday he will give me  a break.  not sure my body can take it.

Prayers and hugs to all of you

I hope those of you who wanted to print the prayer list off had a chance to before it got buried. Since our little family has grown so much it will help to keep track of all of the different ladies.

We pray for Shirley, Aurora and Ellen as they recover from their surgeries and as Shirley will hopefully be starting her concentrated radiation soon.

Kath, praying that you can get through work tomorrow with His supernatural power and strength. I hope you doctor does give you a break since you are having these strong reactions. You tumor markers are amazing. God is working through this situation. We need his wisdom to figure out how to proceed so you are not so sick. Hang in there dear friend.

Angie, praying that you are getting over your sickness and that you can find some things to strengthen your immune system.

Joanne, continued prayers for these red spots and for wisdom in which person to see to move forward.

Thank you G. Praying you have a good week.

Jean, praying that you can find some things to ease your pain while you wait to get into this specialist.

Debbie (foots) I hope you will feel free to post your lovely prayers and poems here.

Take care everyone. I had the privilege of going to a Christmas concert by Manheim Steamroller. It was an awesome concert and we definitely got our moneys worth. If you get a chance to see them on their US tour it is certainly an uplifting concert.

Have a good night's rest everyone.

    Love,

    Nancy

    Morning Warriors,

Kath so sorry to hear the abraxane is causing issues for you. I did really well on it for 9 months. DH is on it now along with Gemcitibine and he is doing ok after two treatments. His counts dropped so they will be moving him to every other week now. My treatment is going well so far on the Doxil once a month. Only one treatment so far. Go back on the 23rd for round two.

Nancy thank you so much for the list. I sure hope you know what a blessing you truly are to all of us and how much we appreciate what you do to keep us up to date with all the ladies on our board. You are a gift to us. Thanks again.

Jean glad you were able to have a peaceful day. It's so important to have those to recharge.

Aurora great news for you too.

We put in our offer and have a counter offer so we will get back today with our new number. It's looking good and we hope to be in our new home by early Decemeber God willing. Prayers for it to go well and quickly. It's a cash deal so should be easy. So thankful God has opened the door so quickly for us. The. We need to sell this house.

Have a blessed day everyone love you all and praying for your needs. Lucy image

She praying you have a great day.

Phyliss, thank you for the suggestion. Actually the mods are meeting regarding the name of our thread. I have proposed that we have our thread open to all ages. I hope to see that happen as of now we are listed in the over 60 category which is really not what we are.

Kath, praying for you as you tackle a work day today.

I have a dr apt so I need to get busy.

    Love,

Just checking in.....taking a break from cleaning. I think it is the Arimidex that makes my back hurt after a while.

Kath, really good news! I wrote you a PM last week, but when I checked off and on for a response, I looked back and, for some reason, my message did not go through. I will send another.

I do pray for all of you everyday. I pray my tumor marker goes down, since nothing can be found. It does cause me to be stressed, although I try not to be.

    Lucy, loved the banner.....Happy Monday!

bandwoman12… Well I started the radiation treatments today. I was tired of hearing them apologising for hurting me. I finially just said "Lets just get it done". My appt. was for 9 am they kept taking other people in front of me, I asked the nurse why they even set appointments, just tell everyone to come on in we will put you ahead of the new people. I finially was seen at 10:40 am then the RO explained that there had to be six hour intervals between the treatments and then because my time was given away several times his fix was oh well its been almost five hours lets get it done we all want to get out of here. I was the last one taken today. Big difference in the morning rads and the afternoon rads, the ones in the afternoon burned and they are using seven catherters. Of course I have that sernoma and it had drained and the yellow drainage was thick and was stuck to the device and she pulled on it and the other nurse yelled and said to be carefull your going to pull out the device and then we can't do the treatments. So some of that could have been caused by the seroma. I just prayed to our Father to let the time go quickly. All of a sudden every treatment session is with a different RO. The one I had the consult with was not there, he was at a different facility today. I asked about the sernoma and he said call your sergeon about that. They also changed all my appointment times today. Tomorrow I have to be there at seven so add a 45 minute drive to that. I said well thats okay early in early out and she said to look at the times again. for the next three days it is seven hours between treatments. Puts me fighting heavy traffic on the freeway to get home. Of course it is supposed to rain all week I left up there at about 4 and I got home at 5:35 pm. I did ask God to work on my temperment, but I don't feel this was his doing. The device is rubbing a hole through at the base of my breast, I'm not kidding, there is a big red lump and it is gross looking or I would take a picture of it and post it. When I first got to Texas my son chose that medical facility group for me because that is where they have gone since they got here. I think for those with cancer its how fast can we get them in and out. I am in to far to change now. I think I can go to another RO somplace else for the Chemo and medical pill part. My son may be getting a new job in Florida so that would get me away out here. I am going to live where my kids are. My son's job interviews are keeping him busy so I stopped all pain meds and am taking myself to the treatments. The government laid him off after they sent him home. Praise God I didn't want him overseas again anyway. If the seroma isn't better soon I will go to another doctor for it and I will tell them why, loudly. Forgive me for this post but every word is true. I woke up last night at 1:12 am and have been going all day so I am going to go lie down, can't take a hot bath or shower but I can lay down. Please pray for me to keep my cool, and may God bless all on this site.

Well here I am again. God is teaching me to go with the flow. We were supposed to be in Massachusetts for the week. Hubby was acting strange since we got here yesterday and today decided we are going home in the morning. Just that he "doesn't feel well!" Trying to maintain my serenity and leave things in God's hands. Not upset about going home, just confused. Love, Jean
