    Good afternoon ladies,

Praying that everyone is feeling well enough to attend services or to watch/listen to a minister on media. It is a beautiful spring day here in NC...just the right kind to spend time on your deck or porch.

Asking for prayer for my husband and myself; we resigned from our church pastorate this morning. Not sure where God is leading, but going to take some time and listen for His direction. It was a difficult decision...to stay in a comfort setting with the church at a standstill, or stepping aside to let God guide us elsewhere and open an opportunity for someone else. Some of you that I PM probably aren't surprised but it was hard to walk away, even after praying for months.

Physically. I'm doing well. My left hip continues to be uncomfortable....guessing that a THR isn't far off. Still finding I need rest and sleep more than I used to.

Praying for all of you as you deal with uncertainty, SEs, discomfort, healing and waiting for decisions. I have dealt with all myself....praying that BC doesn't make a third appearance.

    God bless you all....Ellen

    Dear ladies,

I thought the thread had come to a complete stop as my email notifications must have got knocked off as they do sometimes. If Joanne had not mentioned posting in an email about her concern of this new spot I would have not known.

I am extremely discouraged that I cannot feel better. I will be so anxious to see what my first doctor apt tomorrow reveals. This is my allergy doctor who is an ENT. My throat is not good. Then on Wed will see my pcp and hopefully he can deal with the intestinal stuff. I feel like someone drained my energy plug today and have not even gotten dressed.

I really appreciate your prayers more than you know. Being cooped up inside alone has made me a little crazy.

Ellen, I have been praying hard for you knowing this has been a very difficult time for you both.

Lynn, praying you will not have to have that biopsy.

Jean, praying that you are starting to feel like you are getting your life back on track now.

    Kathy, thanks for your prayers.

G, thanks for your prayers too.

She, how are you doing? Still praying for you too.

Joanne, praying against fear and that your BS will NOT order any more tests for you when you see him on Tues. Thanks for all of your prayers.

Take care dear ladies. I covet your prayers at this time as it has been a very long haul.

    Love

    Nancy

Thanks Joanne for your prayers and banners.

According to my allergy doctor who is and ENT that I saw today, he thinks my sickness is just a very persistence virus. He wants to see me in two weeks if I am not better and wants to scope my throat.

It felt like summer outside today. It has been a strange spring for sure but it was good to get out and get out of the house even if it was to get to the doctor.

Thanks for all of your prayers. Hope you are all having a good start to the week.

    Love,

    Nancy

I had a really bad day today. Had myself a big pity party and tonight at bible study I realized that I hadn't posted my gratitude lately. Well here goes

I am grateful for church Saturday night and the strength to attend an auction and have lunch with a dear couple from church yesterday. Tonights women's bible study was also wonderful. Also my friend Beverly came thru the knee reconstruction well. She is in danger of infection and has a long healing ahead but the surgery was successful, praise God. Thanks for your prayers ladies. Love, Jean

Yes I agree for goodness for Jo.

Today I am so grateful for getting back on track. I was able to clean up my bedroom and change the bed, also to do some laundry. I went for a walk and was able to walk a mile. It's all glory to God who gave me the strength and desire to do these things. Love, Jean

Jean, glad you are feeling better and was able to get out and walk and do some things around the house. Doing those normal things can always give us a lift if we have not been able to do them. I hope that trend continues for you

Joanne, I am glad your apt is over and I am glad that your doctor is taking a wait and see attitude. I am praying that you will have more peace about this new spot and that you will NOT have to have a biopsy. Praying that God will allow your mind to rest and that you can unload all of that anxiousness at His feet. I know that is not easy to do but I am praying that God will allow you to do that and have some peace of mind about your graft in general and this place in particular.

I made myself get out today even though I didn't feel well this morning. I was finally able to get more thyroid blood work done today and I hope that will give me some answers and direction that I should go.

I even took a ride through our Arboretum and took my camera. It was cold and windy but it was so good to get out and I think it did me more good than harm. My digestive issues are much improved. I am still having these sore throats in the morning and praying it is not an acid reflux issue. I will see my pcp tomorrow and see what his input will be. I think I can pretty much predict that he will say let's give it more time and see if this virus finally diminishes to nothing.

I hope all of you have a good night. Take care.

    Love,

    Nancy

Jo, Yes, we watch and pray and trust.

Jean, Happy you are able to walk a mile. Yea! You are doing really well.

SA8PG, Love the banner. You must be one busy lady - 8 children! My daughter-in-law has 3 under 5 and she is busy!!

    In My Darkest Hour

    In my darkest hour

    I trembled in fright.

Then I heard, " Come follow Me,"

And saw the path of light.

    The Lord was smiling

As He spoke gently to me.

    "fear not my lost child,

    I have plans for thee.

    Faith will move mountains--

Bring you strength and new hope.

    Life will have a meaning,

    You will learn to cope."

    Today, I rejoice--

    Give thanks to Him above;

    Service for our Lord

Filled my heart with needed love.

Thank you all for your prayers. It has been a very tough last several months for me but I know God is doing a work in me.

Debbie, thank you for your post. I have felt like a lost child but I know the Lord is in control and leading me to places that he wants me to go. How are YOU doing?

G, I don't know how you have time to post but I am glad you do. You are a dear and an encouragement to all of us

Lynn, I am glad you are safely back home and I hope you have a good time with your guests.

Joanne, thank you for your encouragement and all of your banners. I heard a new song today and it said God is making diamonds out of dust. He he is making diamonds out of us. I do believe that as we go through hard times he is refining us so he can get those dull parts off of us so we can shine more brightly for His glory. I really do think that is what He is doing as we go through difficult times. Those times are usually not pleasant but necessary.

Angie, how are you doing? I have missed seeing you. you have been on my heart for quite a few days now. Are you doing okay?

Have a good night dear sisters.

    Love

    Nancy

Kathy, congratulations on your new grandson. I know you mentioned family coming to stay with you. Is that in the near future?

Joanne, thanks for your prayers and the banners. I am anxious to get my blood work results from yesterday. I have a feeling that might shine a light as to why I have not been feeling good besides getting sick. I hope we both feel good today. I will see my pcp later this afternoon.

    Have a great day everyone.

Loretta, how are you doing? Have you had another treatment yet?

Kathy - Congrats on no more Aromisin. I couldn't take it, but I still look forward to no Tamoxifen, though it's a ways off.

I'm praying for my sisters that are struggling with treatments and SE's.

I start my job as a receptionist at the zoo on Monday. I love our zoo. And the people seem nice. It will be nice to feel useful again. I'm feeling so much better now that all the infections and such are gone. And our weather is much improved. It's amazing how better that alone makes you feel. It's nice to see green. :-)

    Blessings

Praying for us all as I go to bed tonight. Nancy, I hope your bloodwork will give some clues as to why you are not feeling well so you can get some relief and start feeling better!

Congratulations, Kathy. I LOVE my 5 grandchildren so much. Going to visit 3 of them in a couple of weeks.

I Private messaged Lorraine, but have heard nothing. I hope she is managing after the second trestment we last heard she was having.

    God Bless,

    That is What I Know

Few things in life are certain,

But I know beyond a doubt,

Faith in God is one thing

    That I cannot live without.

I don't know what each day holds,

Yet, the Lord is at my side,

    And through prayer, I'm confident

What I need He shall provide.

Oh, others might let me down,

    But God is steadfast and true;

He will take good care of me...

And do the same for you!

Beautiful poem Foots. "I don't know what each day holds but I know He's at my side." Isn't that the absolute truth. Thank you Jesus!!!

Nancy prayers as you wait out this virus. Please let us know when you hear so we can be praying in agreement for your specific needs.

I love more grand babies for you ladies. I can't even wrap my head around that season since I still have children at home. 8 under 13 BUT I have been told it is a most rewarding and beautiful season so I pray the good Lord will allow me the time to see that blessing.

Continued prayers for all of you as you push through every day in each of the refining moments: we are the clay, He is the potter. We may be broken and a bit beat up but like I tell my ladies in class. Light shines brighter in the broken places. Keep letting your light shine!!!!

    God bless all of you.

Thank you for your beautiful poems and scriptures Debbie. They always encourage my heart.

    Thanks Lynn for your prayers.

Kathy, I hope you live close enough to the new grandbaby that you will get to see him often. I know your Idaho family is far away but glad they got to visit or at least I think it was them. Maybe not.

G, I am trying to find out if this sickness is something else besides a virus. Some lab work is being done and I will hopefully find out something next week. I do feel a bit beat up and praying that there will be lessons learned during this time.

Jean, praying each day will be a celebration of how far you have come and how much healing has taken place for you.

Mini, your new job sounds exciting to me. I love animals and that sounds like a fun place to work. I hope it works out well for you.

Joanne is not feeling well today. Let's pray that the Lord encourages her heart and that He will allow her to see how far she has come and not be discouraged by how far she still has to go. I know that is easy for me to say but I know God can bring us through deep waters that we never thought we would get through.

I wish my pcp could have waved his Harry Potter wand and done something for me. He is a very good doctor but I think he would just as well send me to the specialists that I deal with and let them deal with the throat and the colon. I am doing some tests to rule out some things but that is the extent of it. I have been running a low grade fever the last three days which is something new. Hopefully my body will fight off what ever has invaded it and if I need some meds to do additional work then I will know that possibly next week. I may do a throat scan with my allergy doctor if needed and a colonoscopy with my gastro doctor if need be. My thyroid meds have been changed again and that could help some things in general but I doubt has anything to do with this mystery illness. My pcp usually has good instincts and he doesn't want to see me for six months so he either thinks this will be resolved with meds after we get lab results or that these other specialists will figure out something. I don't think he is passing the buck even though as I type this it certainly sounds like it but I do trust him and he has been right on things over the years and when he thinks things will resolve they usually do. Hopefully that will happen very soon.

Praying that you all have a good night. Thanks again for your prayers and encouragement.

    Love

    Nancy

    The Eyes Of God

    God's eyes are always watching,

    They are never far away;

    His ears are always open,

To hear us when we pray.

    His hands are thus extended,

    To lift us should we fall;

His voice will give an answer,

    If upon Him we call.

    His heart is always broken,

    When we turn away from Him;

    Yet, He is more anxious

To send light when life looks dim.

His feet will walk before us,

    Leaving footprints we can see;

His love will wrap around us,

And His grace will set us free.

Good morning dear ladies. I just prayed against discouragement for all here. May God lift us up today physically mentally spiritually emotionally. Today I am very grateful for my hip replacement and cancer treatment recovery going well. Also that God intervened in what could have been an ugly dispute with my husband last night and led us to let go of anger and resentment. Love, Jean

Jo, I can only take Tylenol too. Unfortunately, that is all I know. I just deal with it.

I went to an exercise class today, washed my car and painted for several hours! Very tired tonight and am going to bed early. However, as always, will be including you all in my nightly prayer time. You are all special to me.....and God!
