A Lasting Love
There's an empty place in every heart
Until we find the Lord,
For He alone can fill it,
Then joy is our reward.
If you're searching for lasting peace,
Then just invite Him in;
He'll fill that place within your heart
And cleanse you free from sin.
Oh, what a joy to know Him,
To let Him be your guide.
You'll never be alone again,
For He'll walk by your side.
He said He'd never leave us,
If we make Him our Lord;
He'll guide us through eternity,
Make Heaven our reward. By Helen Gleason

Heavenly Father, Please bless all the wonderful people
in this group, You take their hand and guide them through
all the mountains and valley's they are facing. For You
Lord see every heartache and every tear, as I know You
will wipe them away. Please guide the hands that are giving
treatment or just helping those that are facing health or stress,
from whatever they are going through. Please bless the new people
and give them hope and courage, knowing You are always beside
them. May all remember Your arms are always open, to carry
or give them peaceful rest. You are such a loving God, Thank You
for all You are doing and have done for all here. We love You. Amen

Would you believe we had snow yesterday! Crazy weather this spring. Hubby and I are flying down to Florida today to visit his brother. Back next Tuesday. Hopefully spring will arrive here while we are gone. Life is pretty stable for now. Love, Jean

Thank you for all your prayers. My platelets are back up over 100, so I'm good to go for tomorrow's Gemzar infusion. Dr. has finally ok'd me for a port placement, so my arms won't look like a heroin addict's anymore ;o). (What the heck took her so long to ok it?) I'll be off cycle next week to rest my body.
I'm also scheduled for emergency PET scan on the 19th (day after tomorrow) to check the integrity of the bones in my right hip and femur and see if there's an impending fracture(s) brewing. I can barely walk now, and she wants it checked out ASAP.
I will have another brain MRI in a couple of weeks. She says that's important, too, but not as urgent as the possibility of breaking bones. I'll either have to have pins/rods, or if the hip/femur are still intact and okay (we hope....) I can maybe get by with just a sturdy hip/leg brace.
Busy days ahead, so please continue to keep me in prayer as I pray for all of you,
L

I love that poem Jo, Thanks for sharing it.
In His Time
Did you know that He carries you?
You are one of His lambs.
And He comforts and guides you
By His strong loving hands.
He never grows weary
And won't turn you away.
He knows all Your heartaches,
And gives grace for each day.
He has walked through the valleys
Of darkness with you.
Have you given Him praise,
For the trials you've come through?
He is working out His plan
Even through your load seems heavy,
In His time you'll understand. By Theo Cusato

Heavenly Father, Please be with all the people here, May
they feel Your loving Spirit around them. For some are facing
challenges, may they find answers and comfort from You.
Bless those that are going through tests or treatments, That
they know You are beside them and will even carry them through.
Thank You, Lord, for all Your guidance and healing love, as You
understand each and every tear and You wipe it away. In Jesus name. Amen

Thank you Debbie for your poems and prayers. If the world could only know that void in their heart is their need for Jesus what a different world we would be living in. We can be those beacons of light for all the lost around us. Let us open our eyes and hearts to minister where needed.
Joanne, giving thanks that your mammo was fine. Praying the angio will NEVER come back.
Lita, I am praying. I know this is so difficult but your will to live is so strong that I would not be surprised what may happen for you. We are praying. Hang in there.
Jean, I am praying you have a great time in Florida. They have to have some warm weather down there!
Ade, how are you and James doing. You are covered in prayer.
Faith, praying that you will get to the end of this sickness and start feeling 100% better.
Lisa, praying as you go through your treatments and have your long drive to get there.
I am praying for each of you whether I mention your name or not.
Have a good day dear sisters.
Love,
Nancy

In Gods Hands
You're in God's hands
So have no fears..
He cared for you
Down through the years.
You're in the prayer
Of those you love,
God is watching
From above.
Your faith has carried
You thus far.
And God will meet you
Where you are. Anna Matthews

Lifes Path
I was walking lifes path with a load of cares,
I didn't remember that God was right there.
Then along He came and this is true,
He lifted my burdens and carried them too.
So when your burdens get too much to bear,
always remember, God is always there! By Deb

It's been a bit of rough time lately - but no worse than you all are going through. Aren't we thankful for His presence with us constantly!
Thank you for your banners, prayers, poems, songs and words of encouragement. What a blessing it is to have sisters who truly understand one another. I thank the Lord for you all and pray for all of your needs.
Will be keeping our 3 year old grandaughter for 3 days & 2 nights starting tomorrow - then all 3 girls for 5 days next week. The joy of the Lord is my strength! I am thankful James is here to help carry the load (and enjoy them too!) )
We have planted 3 crepe myrtles, 8 lilac bushes, lavender, and are ready to get the raised garden in. WHEW! (James did MOST of the work - so very thankful he is regaining his strength - now if only I could.)
Blessings upon your day sweet sisters,
Ade

Ade, how do I hire James to put in my garden? ;-) Your new plantings sound just lovely.
Dear ladies, I am also grateful for all your prayers and poems. I so appreciate this online faith community. While I don't post much, I read your writings and pray for you every day. Thank you for being my sisters.
I had planned to visit family in the Midwest last week but ended up rescheduling my trip for May. My hometown received over 14 inches of snow in one day! That is just crazy for April. Typical temperatures are in the 60s, not below 32 degrees! What a wild and wacky Spring it's been.

Hello!
I'm about 12 weeks out of surgery and starting radiation the middle of next week.

Amen Debbie. I wish I could write like you do. Praying for you.
Kind I stand in line after Hershey to borrow James. LOL Up here it would be a big task doing all you are doing but in the TX heat that is quite a feat! Will be praying for strength for the next several days so you can enjoy your grand children. I am glad James is feeling up to all of this work. Praying that you will feel better Ade.
Welcome Dodgerick. Feel free to post anytime. Praying that your rads goes well along this journey.
Love,

Home at Last
Oh Master, walk with me today
In hope that I find my way.
When torments of this world close in,
My saddened soul is weak with sin.
Dear Master, take my hand in Thine
And let my will to Thee consign.
In joyous rapture I will sing
My gratitude to Christ the King.
For this world of gloom and woe,
In wisdom, faith and trust we grow;
Then by our side You shall remain
To lead us on through joy and pain.
Then someday when my life is through,
In Paradise I'll be with You,
And all who've loved You in the past
Will share Your heavenly home at last. By Angie Monnens

Hello ladies... I realized I should be in this topic. Such wonderful, poems, prayers, pictures and songs.
I have been cancer free now for 7 years today.. I just realized it. God is so good to us.
May I share what is coming up in August? I am completing my "bucket list" - Before breast cancer, I was an anthropologist/archaeologist. I wanted to be immersed in another culture. Well, since last October, I have been preparing to go on a missions trip with a team from church. There are 9 of us going to Rwanda. We are doing a vacation bible school for the kids at the African New Life school in Rubavu. In the process of this trip, I will get to meet little Joyce whom we started sponsoring and corresponding with last year. I am so excited to give a bit of love and teach about Jesus to these children. We have been making little felt dolls for the children. I finished two for Joyce - one that looks like me and one that looks like her. We have made almost 50 dolls for the trip and people from church have been praying over them and sponsoring us too. It is such a blessing to see what can be done through prayer. If you all want - I can take a picture of the "Grandma" and Joyce dolls. I have 4 more to finish and then I am done - Phew....

The dolls are adorable. Have a great trip and experience. Will pray that you stay healthy and strong.

Thank you Lita. I tell you, getting the vaccinations was the worst. I have bilateral lymphedema so had to fight to get them in the legs. So I need all the prayer I can get! One more set of vaccines in early July and off we go.

Rest Beneath His Wings
In this restless world,
Lord, help me be still
And to walk in peace,
Surrendering to Your will.
In all I say and do
May You be glorified.
Lord, be my strength
From morn til eventide.
When my day is done
And darkness falls again,
Let me forget the things
That brought me pain;
And with a grateful heart
Find rest beneath Your wings,
Until the rising sun
New hope and healing brings By Regina Wiencek

GmaFoley, your dolls are adorable and you inspire me. I am debating taking a trip to Indonesia for a Christian Higher Ed conference with my DH this summer, but I am a bit concerned taking such a long trip with the amount of fatigue I am dealing with lately. I am praying for guidance so I can make a decision this week. In the meantime, I crochet dolls for my granddaughter. It is just for fun, but I can surely crochet some for the local shelter. Thank you for the inspiration. Here are a few of my dolls...they are Disney princesses.

Gma Foley - SO glad to meet you! We will pray as well for your mission trip. Your felt dolls are darling and a wonderful idea! One of our church ladies has been on many yearly mission trips to a particular country that is not Christian friendly (so I won't give that info). She teaches English in several areas there and 'gifts' gospel bracelets that we make for them. Each bead color represents a part of the gospel. She can only explain what it means when they ask - but that part IS "legal" and she won't be in trouble with the government for answering their questions. Also when she teaches about USA holidays that's an open door too. We're really excited for you and hope to have an update when you return.
Dodgerick - WELCOME!!! Glad to meet you too & looking forward to getting to know you better!
Nancy - are you feeling any better yet? Still swimming OK? How's your mom?
Grandbaby Addi didn't go to sleep until 10:30 last night ( so she is still dozing and I have a little quiet time this morning before the 3-year-old activity begins. Last evening James, Maggie & Addi & I sat on the porch (she on my lap in the rocker). We practiced listening and heard cows & chickens (way across the road), lots of different birds and even owls. She really enjoyed when the deer came up to be fed.
Debbie - thank you & keep 'em coming!
Praying for all of you!
~*~ Blessings upon your day, sisters, ~*~

Wow. I miss one day on here and look at all that has happened!!!!!!!!
Debbie, love the poems and writings. Keep those encouragements coming. Praying for you as I know you need prayer very much and never want to ask for yourself.
GmaFoley, I am glad to see you posting on this thread. I have seen your posts on other threads and congratulations on 7 years out. That is awesome. I LOVE your dolls and love the fact you are going to meet your little girl in Africa. I too have a little girl in Africa that I sponsor and I wish I could meet her in person. That is going to be such a blessing to her when she meets you. I would love to see your Grandma doll and any others that you have made. When will you be going? Praying it is a powerful and impactful missions trip.
Chris, I love your Disney princess dolls. We have such talent on this thread. I am so proud of all of you for just being you. That would be awesome if you could go in Indonesia. I sponsored a little girl for many years from Jakarta, Indonesia. I have often wondered where she is now.
Hershey, you were smart to postpone your trip to May. This is the first I have been out today with my camera in many weeks and I was shocked at what little flowering flowers were not yet out at our arboretum. It has been such a difficult spring with such crazy weather. We appreciate you no matter how often you post.
Ade, I was traveling to the town next door and there in an open ball field were a herb of deer. I was so excited. On my way back home they were still there and I drove into the park and watched them until this photographer decided he was going to try to get closer and closer and I knew what was going to happen. They all got spooked and ran. At that point I wanted to strangle this man. LOL Praying for strength. God Bless you and James for taking on the grand kids. Rocking with the little one and listening to all of the nature sounds did sound so peaceful. Thanks for asking about me. I have had some rough episodes this week and yesterday was not good. I am swimming and that makes me feel good in so many ways but my GI issues persist. I had a contractor out yesterday doing some work and he was here pretty late. I just didn't even feel like getting on my laptop last night which almost never happens. I will eventually see a specialist but not until June. I did get out to take some pics today. That was fun even though the scenery looked pretty much like winter.
Lita, how are your SE's going this time around? Praying for you.
Lisa and Faith, praying for both of you.
Joanne, praying for peace and for you and your family.
Here a few pics from this afternoon.
The blue tiny flowers are called scilla and they are bulbs that make for an impressive ground cover in the woodlands. And yes those are real raindrops on that daffodil and it wasn't supposed to rain today. Sigh.
Have a good evening dear sisters.
Love,
Nancy

I will be going from August 13th-24th. This is the last set I made - the two front ones are the "Joyce and Grandma" dolls.
These are the first set I made

GmaFoley, your dolls are amazing! I am sure there will be some very happy little girls receiving your gifts of love. Enjoy your trip!
We have pretty well decided not to travel to Indonesia. It is a very long trip and I haven't been feeling very well. To be honest, we are a little nervous about it. I know...I should live and be happy. But I have decided I would rather spend my travel energy to visit my kids and grandkids. At the end of the day, that will make me most happy.

Intolight, you're doing the right thing. I cancelled my trip to Hawaii last year. I probably would have been just fine, but I didn’t want to take a chance being that far away. Traveling is tiring enough when you're healthy.
I know mbc women with brain mets who've gone to New Zealand and Europe without giving it a 2nd thought, but not me.

Lesson of Faith
Until I learned to trust You, Lord,
Your strength I never knew.
Until my sorrows multiplied,
I seldom prayed to You.
It took the bitter sting of time,
Some empty, pain filled years,
To fall before Your throne of grace
And know You shared my tears.
Oh Lord, You sent me the storms to prove
You were my hiding place.
You've brought me glad, eternal joys,
Anointed me by grace.
Now that I've learned to fully trust
And come to You in prayer,
You've blessed me in my weakness, Lord,
By always being there. Gene Appleby

God Blessed Me Today
God already blessed me;
He blessed me today.
In many a wondrous
And kind, loving ways.
He sent me the birds
Their melodious song,
Sent me a rainbow from Heaven
Gave right to whats wrong.
He blessed me with sunshine,
He blessed me with rain
Gave courage, endurance
To conquer all pain.
There's nothing compares
With our Father above,
And all of His blessing
He giveth with love. By Katherine Matheney
