Not leaving totally! Just not going to be signing on multiple times a day as I had been doing.

Today I have worked on my jigsaw puzzle, we drove up to visit some friends staying on the Hawkesbury River (and worked on another jigsaw puzzle), then Tony and I took the kids out for dinner since 2 out of 3 will be off doing their own thing tomorrow night.

Tomorrow we are thinking of getting up early and driving up to Terrigal for brunch and a sit/walk on the beach. It will be just Tony, Rach and I. Then we have a quiet evening at home planned at this stage. No big party for us this year.

What is everyone else up to tomorrow night?

Hi Jenn, Sounds like a lovely day you've had, and a nice plan for tomorrow. Can't beat just relaxing with family.

We have invited one of Colin's attendants and her family for tomorrow night's fireworks display. Rebecca will still be here and they get on really well. I don't expect to get past the kids fireworks at 9.30, I am still going to sleep really early. It is so unlike me to go to bed so early, but I have really enjoyed the early nights. Fortunately I have had no trouble sleeping.

We will pick up our dog Dexter on Tuesday, he's been at "doggie camp" since I went to Hospital. I have really missed him, but couldn't have handled him jumping on me with the drain in.

Rebecca goes home to Melbourne on Wednesday, I will miss her, it's been wonderful having her here, but the time has just flown. If I have any regrets about our big move, it is that we aren't a few minutes away from Bec any more.

Hey Jenn, glad to see you will still be around here. I should follow your lead and not check this site multiple times per day!

I'm still having a great holiday down south, and flying home tomorrow night.

My wish for us all is a HEALTHY new year.

    Hi all

I have been reading but just not posting. Tomorrow I will be working from 9am to 6pm, then working New Years day 10am to 5pm so am not doing anything much tomorrow night. After getting the breast cancer this year and not being all that happy at work i will be glad when it's 2013. Lots of people I've spoken to are glad to see the end of this year, so I think it's been a bad year for many.

Jenn I know how you feel, you can get obsessed with cancer but as I've still got reconstruction to go it's hard for me not to think about it. I really need to do something different with my life, even going out for a walk every day but at the moment it's so hot here I just can't be bothered.

    Happy New Year everybody

At my local Kmart I found an Ahh bar look alike with pockets. I don't have a prosthesis but I think in could be modified to fit. It was only around $10 for two so they could be worth a try.

Kylie - positive thoughts for your test results.

Just heard that our friend's son Alastair was found about an hour ago. I am so relieved that I am in tears. His mother certainly didn't need that, she is one of us having had a dreadful year with BC and treatment and is not out of the woods yet with things.

Have a great New Year everyone.

    Big hugs

Alyson, i just read on the news that he had been found, safe and well and although tired, come out pretty well from  the experience. thank God for that. no its not good for his mum with that stress, am very pleased with outcome. a  happy one. just as well for his energy bars henhad to eat, but things could of  gone horribly wrong, if he had injured himself. Yay he is safe.

    Hi lovely ladies.....

Yes, I've been a bit quiet but doing ok.....just a bit run down! Nearly had to forego another chemo treatment coz of these blasted white blood cells! Anyway got them up with the help of steroids......fake reading I know, but as much as I don't want the bloody chemo, I need it. So I've googled 'foods to keep your white blood cells up' & have been on a shopping spree for all the right kinds of foods as well as some natural supplements at the health food shop!! The onc also adjusted the dose of Gemzar a bit so fingers crossed I can keep the pesky little things up there.....the govt, god bless, doesn't cover Nuelasta for secondary cancer, only primary!! So, just resting up this week....:)

Jenn....having a bit of a break from 'cancer' can be a good thing, I do hope it helps but glad you'll still be checking in (((hugs)))

Alyson......so glad your friend has been found, in particular for his family xx

Racy.....you go girl, & keep enjoying that holiday! At least you'll be a lot cooler than we are over here in the west.....

Ariom.....sleep is good thing (I slept 12 hours last night...LOL) & if that's what your body needs, well I say that's what your body should get! There'll be many more New Years Eve celebrations to come...

Chrissy.....your New Years celebrations sound wonderful......hoping you have a fab time xxx

Suzie......a bit of a shame you're at work on New Years Eve although I'm sure you'll enjoy this evening!

Angela....I hope you are feeling ok & handling this darn chemo as best you can (((hugs)))

Kylie......good luck with your test results x

Kate....are you staying cool down there in Bunbury??

    Trish......hope you too are ok....

Now, I thought I was being very clever by trying to remember everyone but I bet there's someone I missed......after all, I do have chemo brain!! So, to those I've forgotten ((hugs)))

    Happy New Year everyone.......hoping for a healthy 2013 & a miracle or 2 xxxxx

We got told we can go home at 1, but I brought my lunch in. I think I'll have lunch, come back to work for half an hour and then go home. If I go home my sweetie might expect me to make his lunch.

Hi Karen,  good to see you back.   Gosh last week we were like Hot Roasted chickens, you sit and the sweat is running off you, this week, well today i am like a frozen one and running around witht a jersey on, such conflicting temps,  boiling one week and freezing the next, i do prefer the cooler climate, i am afraid, some of those temps you girls you had, would have  killed me, that would of been so uncomfortable, Perth had 40, i was moaning at 31 oh man that 40 is HOT, even tho i complain about the cold today, i would prefer it. never happy are we, POOR weather gets a hard time, even tho it partly  involved in how we feel each day. i swept the floor b4 and forgot to pick up contents, still sitting  in middle of floor, so must do, got way layed with something that dirverted my attention. have a happy one ladies.

Smart thinking Suzie Laughing. I would imagine the office would have a pretty casual vibe today, and nice and cool with airconditioning. Heat is atrocious ridiculous over here but there is a cool change coming over on Thursday. We are going to my SIL's house tonight, she is right on the water. We are taking the chairs into the water to sit. I don't care if I fall in. Goodbye 2012 (good riddance actually). May 2013 bring us all better health and happiness.

Just getting ready to start cooking the new year treats to take with us tonight.......thank goodness this all happens just once a year.....lol.....I think I've put on just about all the weight I lost ( well not quite, but it sure feels like it)........lol. I'm guessing I'm going to have to make a resolution to try, yes, I said try, to take it all of once the celebrations are over........lol. Hoping you all enjoy whatever you choose to do tonight!

Happy New Year to everyone. Wishing for good health and happiness. I have huge blisters on the bottom of my feet thanks to Xeloda, but thankfully tomorrow morning will be my last lot and then a whole week off. Lymphodema also giving me grief and to top it off, I have caught a cold which is starting to settle in my chest again. Hopefully no pleural effusion this time. So I for one will be going to bed early and I will be thankful that tomorrow will be another beautiful day to enjoy and appreciate.

Midnight.....it's been 40 degrees for a week now!! As Kate said, we're expecting a cool change on Thursday....early 30's I think....we just have to stay in the air conditioning!!

Chrissy....sounds like you're an amazing cook & you clearly love it.

My mother is an excellent cook & my kids have asked her to write a recipe book to leave as a legacy for them.....food for thought (((hugs))) x

    Happy new year everyone :-)

Karen, I think it's amazing you remembered as many as you did, I struggle and I'm not on chemo lol, I'm just getting old!

We are having a quiet night in tonight, same as every year. DH is outside now mowing the front paddock, think he'll be out there for a couple of hours lol.

I'm so glad we have all found each other, the friendship, support and love of you all has been a lifesaver. I wish for health and peace for us all in 2013.

Karen, Angela and Mandy I hope chemo does it's magic (yes magic) and kills off all those cancer cells but the se's are very gentle with you.

My love to you all, my sisters.
