Hi all, I have an appointment at 8:30am tomorrow, its gotten a littkeworse but there is a lot less blood now and seems to be scabbing over where the skin peeled off. It covers about 90% of my aerola now... man if I thought losing 1/3 of my breast was bad, now I have a new perspective at least. Truthfully after looking at it tonight, some of the steri-strip is coming off and oozing and I have a strong suspicion that its an infection. :( well hopefully antibiotics tomorrow and I'll be ok!

Becc, hope it's not too big of an issue for you, but something simple that can be cleared up quickly, let us know how you go.

Jenn - is the pay drop a big one?  Sometimes it's worth weighing up how much the old job is actually worth.  You said this one was closer to home?  Does that mean a lot less petrol?  For me the toxic workplace was worth dropping salary just on its own.

Good luck with your decision :-) xoxox

Becc......I second what the other girls have said & hope your issue isn't too bad & easily sorted. Good luck & let us know.....

Chrissy....you must be dreaming about Dreamcatchers!! Or making them in your sleep at least....lol. Sounds like you're nearly done & you'll have an immense sense of achievement once they're finished..... You're so talented, it seems whatever you put your hand to, you are a success!

Jenn...good luck with the job. Money is, of course an issue, but so is job satisfaction.....all the best :)

Midnight....how are you feeling? Did you get some answers re your heart condition?

Trish.....how are you enjoying that lovely kitchen? Cooking up a storm I imagine...lol.

Well, I went to the baby expo & didn't need a truck or trailer!! We didn't buy anything, it was very busy & more about checking out the products....prams, cots etc. I have to say everything has changed since I had my babies!!

Today I am going with my sister as a mystery shopper!! She signed up one night (after a wine or 2 too many.....lol) & they have now responded, so it should be a bit of fun :)

Have a good day lovely ladies.

Yup, the naturopath sure is helping especially in the energy department. Costing me a fortune but its worth it seeing as how I feel so much better!

Linda, yay! You said hello lol.

Chrissy Linda and I have been chatting, and yes she's going to try her hardest to be in Sydney, she misses us :-)

Well I'm off to a photography workshop tomorrow - it's run by the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (I'm now a member, doesn't that sound grand lol) so I'm really looking forward to it.

    Have a great night all

    Hi all

Trish where I work at Coles we have mystery shoppers all the time, a few months ago I had one come through my checkout. I got 100% and Coles gave me a $20 gift card.

Who's watching Big Brother? I sort of am, not really into as much this time. I have been watching Under The Dome as Stephen King is my favourite author. It's different than the book but still I enjoy watching it.

Hope you all have a great rest of the week.

Hi Girls, just had company, my sister and her hubby, he is filled with bot, so was not very well. Hubby added to his woes, by half a jug of boiling water spilling down his leg and on to his foot. he got into cold shower, but it still blistered. it spilt on something else too, but i wont be too informitive there. he was having a wash and the hot water was not  very hot for a shower, so he boiled the jug and  put it on seat and it tipped over and down him. gosh, he should be going to doc, i have been dressing it and it looking better. the poor boy is tired, not concentrating and he is getting into strife, we are  ver much going to way of giving notice of our truck runs, at least three of them, so we have no staff and keep main one, which they willl do and have no staff, and in about 8 months throw the towel in on all. we will need an incometil we have other jobs and i think that will relax our lives very much.  we are all to stressed, my bp was 165/105 whe it got taken, my sis could not believe how high it is and she saw it, and said, i am much puffier around neck, eyes, and red in face. she was concerned, made me promise i would go to doc and get it looked into. she said, something is not right as she was down here  in may and i was not like that. so i have rung nurse and just waiting for a reply.  talk later.

Hi ladies. It's a public holiday in Brisbane today for the Exhibition, or Ekka as everyone calls it these days.

Jenn, congrats on a good interview. As others have said, there are other things to consider apart from gross pay. The difference in net pay should be less as you will be paying less tax (I think. I'm not great at maths.) Would the new job be less stressful? If there are opportunities for promotion, you may get a pay increase in future.

You can look at your discretionary spending to see if you can save elsewhere to help make up the shortfall.

Linda, I'm glad to hear that business is going better and you are hoping to come to Sydney. Qantas airfares are about $200 return if you buy when there is a sale on. Check the website.

Trish, I will be interested to hear all about your photography business when we meet.

Midnight, aloe vera gel is a good treatment for burns.

Oh Annette! Your poor hubby! Just watch he doesn't get an infection in those burns as I know you will. Girl! I think the time has come when you have to make a definite decision about getting rid of something........you both are under too much pressure and accidents are starting to happen......as you say you are both just so tired. Scalding is bad enough but when you are that tired that's when even worse accidents happen. Besides your BP is waaaay too high and bordering on dangerous! That's because you are so stressed out over everything. Make sure you get it checked out and then have a serious heart to heart with your hubby about getting rid of the runs for sure.

Racy is that price you quoted from Brisbane? If so I sure got a bargain when I booked Mandymoos and my flight from Adelaide........I paid I think it was $245 return including commissions. I didn't do too badly then......yay!

Just taking things a little slowly at the moment as that weird thingy happening in my head is getting worse to the point that there is something there all the time. I see my doc the day he gets back so I'm just waiting for that. If it gets worse again I will go and see another doc but I'm loathe to do that........it's a trust thing...ya know what I mean?

    Take it easy girls!

I sure did get a bargain when I booked!

Haven't heard anything back after my interview. I know it went well, but they are having to decide between me with experience and a higher salary, or another candidate with less experience but less pay... I should hear back by Friday.

Chrissy, I agree with Jenn. I wouldnt wait for another 3 weeks. Do you have a breast care nurse that you can access who can help you get an MRI etc?

Jenn, I have my fingers crossed for you.

I read all the threads, but most of it doesnt stay in my memory, so I apologise for that.

Annette, if it wasnt so serious, I would laugh. Poor fellow!! I hope those burns heal quickly.

I went on the Tremedol and was also given a script for Endone just in case. I am pleased to say that the Tramedol worked, and I have already gone off it, so I must have done something to my back. My oncologist doesnt think that it is the Denosumab, so we will see next time. I have my blood test back again (every 3 weeks) and the tumor markers are now down to 45!!! Wahoo!!! I certainly hope that the Xeloda keeps on working.... I dont care about my cracked feet. lol

I attended the funeral of my best friends daughter in law who died of BC last Wednesday. She just celebrated her 54th birthday last month and it is her only childs 21st Birthday this Saturday. The Birthday party is still going ahead as that is what her mum wanted. The funny thing was that she looked completely healthy and normal a couple of weeks before she passed.

I'm off to bed now as I must have caught my grand daughters cold...

    Cheers

Aussie, I love, love, love Stephen King and have missed being able to watch Under the Dome - I'm usually out on a Tuesday night, and would you believe it I can't record free to air tv!  Bummer.  I have to wait for it to come to pay tv.

Midnight - you guys are so accident prone lately, Chrissy is right, it might be because you are all under too much stress - time to rethink your lives I think.

Chrissy - sending you a (((((hug)))) do you think you are maybe just trying to do a little bit too much? Maybe you need to slow down a bit too lol

Mandy - great to hear the tramedol worked for you - and great news about the tumor markers Yay!!  So sorry to hear about your BF DIL, this is such a shitty disease.  Get over that cold quick!

Yesterday was an amazing seminar, I really enjoyed it, and it was great to network with other photographers.  Picked up all sorts of usefly info and saw lots of samples that we'll be using.  So it was really worthwhile going to.

    Trish

hi girls, yes it is a concern, mind you with the hand, it was the case of the animal in the  wrong place and that is bad tempered as well, the burning was that he was not really thinking safely. but yes the stress is very high, and its others causing it too, they are  getting very nasty at the depo, like the manager is doing horrible things, they are not happy, he blamed our mechanic for changing the trucks oil there, well oue mechanic never does oil changes there, that is done on the weekend at the garage, he only goes in there to  put a battery in, if one is flat or change a tyre. andthe manager never apologises, he just grunts and walks away. his own workers despise him. he found the oil culprit and was told to get knotted, but did not apologise to hubby when he knew he had yelled and screamed at him, and that is continued behaviour. we are waiting til next month and then will give notice on three runs, which will take him into christmas time, they want a plan on what we will do regarding  trucks, they want all flash trucks, we cant afford that, as its not worth it, if the  runs were  more payable, we may keep  one  on til after christmas, and then thats it, for  an income mainly. hubby is suffering badly, i got hime some of those adult pants, you use on the elderly as the material runs and that nice soft pad in it, they are designed for men and it went into groin, the burns too.  i am  off soon to do fasting bloods soon. and then the gy and then Doc tomorrow at 12.

Chrissy, hope you feel better very soon too.   and everybody else going thru trauma.

Chrissy......I'd go get checked out a.s.a.p.! You could always then go see your own doc when he/she is back. The funny thing is, your wise advice to everyone is always get it checked, don't wait!! You do so much with all your crafts, cooking & wedding preparations, hopefully your poor old self is just a bit run down ((hugs)))

Annette....I hope everything works out for you guys, it seems there's always a drama & you need more joy in your life :) Good luck honey.

Jenn....got my fingers & toes crossed for you xx

Mandy....so glad the Xeolda is working & your tumour markers are down! I too, am happy to put up with the hand/foot thing, funny tummy & bowels & whatever it throws at me as long as it is working....my tumour markers were down in the 30's last checkup!!

I get my week off after today & am so looking forward to it! I can feel the build up....my fingers are so swollen I can't get my rings on, my stomach sounds like a washing machine & well, the wind....TMI!! It makes it a bit difficult having dodgy hands as I'm doing baby knitting! Oh well, the price we have to pay (((hugs)))

Trish...glad you enjoyed the seminar, it must be lovely to make a living from something you get so much enjoyment from....

Baby scan in 2 weeks & this grandma is going.....I will probably be a blubbering mess when I see my grand baby.... I think I might have said my daughter & partner bought a block of land on the weekend. Well, now they have asked if they can stay with us till the house is built to save some money!! As much as I enjoy having my own space, it will be lovely to have the baby & get to spend some quality baby/grandma time :)

I have panic attacks at the thought of not being around for it all......

We have a big house, so hopefully there won't be too many issues....fingers crossed!!

Anyway, have a good day everyone.

I went to do bloods today and the results  were in  to the docs this afternoon, the thyroid doc  rang me tonight and said the thyroid was extrememly under active and increase to another tab every other day and tomorrow, i go to the Gp and find out about the blood pressure. it was 138/104 at the gym and then went down to 128/ 98. so it went down. anyway. so i don't know what the hell is going on,  the thyroid doc thinks its the underactive thyroid doing that to.  oh well. will go and watch tv now. have a good night.

    How is yr head Chrissy.

Racy,  thankyou,  i went and brought some  aloevera jel and he put it on and i think he thought it was soothing. and even walking better for awhile. so thanks for that. xxx

Karen, could be that the heart problem is due to the thyroid too as the  Doc said, all this is not  good for my heart and Brain and metabolic rate.

i just stood up and proceeded to the kitchen and dropped something on floor and as i bent down to pick it up, i accidently let wind  go and our little  dog took off about 90 ks down the passage way and then comes back and stands in door way and looks around the corner at me. i must of scared him. lol it was funny.

lol karen and Gail, we used to have a dog, a boxer called prince, and he used to do the farts and we would say , POOH PRINCE and he would get up and go out side, well it got to the stage that he knew he had done one and would get up and go out before anybody had the chance to say a word. it was funny, he was an awsome dog that boy.

anyway chrissy hope you ok and everything and every one else as well. love to all

Hi all! Been a busy bee the last couple of days......yes Trish, I hear you but honestly it's only my hands that have been busy, the rest of me just sits.......lol. I did my shopping yesterday as DD is coming up tomorrow so we can talk final menu etc with the restaurant and I needed some fresh veg. I also picked up the last of the ribbon and lace I needed to complete the dream catchers.........three to go and I'm done.....yay!.....so tonight will take care of them.

The head is still the same but it's only two weeks till my appointment.......I am definitely going to get it checked out but I'm really not worried about what it is just the effects it's having on my perception when I look at things and the feeling of being stoned..........now how would I know that?!......shhhh!.....done tell anyone......hahahaha!

Annette I'm pleased to hear that your doc has put you on some meds for that high blood pressure.......that was way too high and dangerous. Hopefully now you will feel a bit better. Next thing on your list is the thyroid......you did say when your appointment is but I can't remember...........anyway I do hope it's soon as that little gland can cause a whole heap of problems if its not working correctly.

Jenn, what's the news on the job? Still got my fingers crossed for you.

Karen, things for babies change all the time.......I remember when I was shopping for my first GS I couldn't believe what was available now eighteen years later its all changed again but it's fun checking it all out!

Mandy so glad you got some Tramadol and they eased your pain.......I still can't believe that your doc hadn't prescribed some a whole lot earlier.

Well time for me to go cook tea......doing two minute steaks with mushrooms, spuds and veg.......mmmmmm......hungry now.

Chrissy, great to hear from you and I hope that your head does not get any worse. Not long before the wedding neither, lol. My pain tolerance is very high and I really havent needed the Tramadol before. (lucky me, but now I keep it with me .... just in case lol)

Karen, I am so happy for both of us seeing that Xeloda is working and both our tumor markers are so low. Lets hope it keeps on working forever....blow the side effects, I say!!!

Annette, keep the stories going. I think that you should write a book. Your stories are so interesting.
