Karen, I think we all have those days when we are frustrated....sounds normal to me :-)

Annette, I bet you'll look lovely for the wedding, I'm sure everyone will just be pleased to see you and catch up.

Alyson, it sounds like a wonderful trip....do you have any more photos?

    Take care everyone!

    Happy belated Birthday Sue :-)

Hope you get that call soon Trish...

Just finished 3 intense lab days at uni. Finished the prac reports for them and submitted this evening. Now have a whole essay to write and submit by next Monday :-/

I finish up at work on Friday 4 October and have booked to fly to Auckland to see my mother on Sunday 6 October. Will drive straight to the hospital to see her. Then off to her place to clean out the fridge which I'm assuming will be in a terrible state by the time I get there.

Then I fly back on the Wednesday night to be back for my onc appt on the Thursday before starting my new job the following Monday.

Oh, and we put an offer in on a 4bdrm apartment in the north of Sydney. Looks like we'll be buying - which means our house will go on the market in the next couple of weeks. When I'm not working or studying, I'm cleaning...

Tam, its Chrissy who is having the wedding, i am just going to my mothers 80th Birthday party, but Chrissy is having her daughters wedding this weekend.  and i am staying up at my mums for an extended week. and yea catching up.

All the best for yr mum Jenn. what are they going to do with her,are going to put her into respite care at rest home or something. We used to do that where i worked in Whangarei, depends how many days or what was wrong with them  and then quite often would come permanant if it was proven that living alone would put them in danger.

Trish have you heard? Thinking of you.

Karen your room pics are fabulous. I sometimes think it's the small things that finally get to you most. You are dealing with a lot and men shouldn't have so many darn things that plug in.

    Chrissy enjoy your family.

    Happy belated birthday Sue.

    Hugs for next week Aussie.

Was able to luckily get an appointment with my surgeon next week to get the results of the scan. Hes in high demand so i was stoked to get an appointment so quickly!! hopefully after i get the results in the same appointment he can give me a date for my reconstruction finally!! ive done all the things the hospital has asked so im praying its all go for my surgery!

Yay Melp! Good luck with your docs visit and I hope you get the go ahead for your surgery.

Trish, many word yet? I think I'd be starting to hound them if it were me........this waiting is hard enough when an appointment is confirmed but waiting for someone else to make that appointment?......well, let's just say the waiting is excruciating!!

Jenn, good luck with your mom and your quick trip over to NZ.........I sure hope that fridge is not too rank! Is your mums assessment the sort that will help get her into assisted living or just the one for home help? Either way, I hope all can be sorted quickly for her and for your peace of mind.

Karen your nursery is gorgeous! I can tell that you will be doing as much baby sitting as possible........lol. Those two little cardies on the change table?......did you knit those? They are beautiful! Lucky baby!!!

Well girls, after my frantic trip to the city to get one more ball of cotton ( yes, I said one more ball), I'm finally up to inserting the sleeves on this wretched top! I must admit its looks lovely but it's lost its shine as I've been under so much pressure to finish it in time. Tomorrow begins the hourly count down and the set up and organizing will begin. The girls will be here at nine thirty in the morning and we will start taking all the decorations to the restaurant. All the relies from Cairns arrived here today and I cooked tea for all of us.........fourteen! I haven't done that for such a long time!

Well back to it.........2/3rds of the first sleeve in and one to go ........yay!!

Please forgive me if I'm not on the boards for the next few days but I will try.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Chrissy....very observant of you, yes I did make those 2 cardigans! I've made a few more also, onto red now!! We know the sex of the baby & all will be revealed next weekend at mum to be's birthday dinner......I don't want to say anything on here as you never know who is reading!!!

I really hope your top is done in time...👏👏👏

Have a fabulous weekend & I'm sure the wedding will be perfect....can't wait for pics.

    Big luv n hugs xxx💖💗💜

Trish....I agree with Chrissy, I would be hounding them by now. Can't stand waiting & I think they are being awfully thoughtless by making you wait so long! Still sending big ((hugs))) & waiting for news xxx

Melp....awesome news & fingers, toes & everything crossed that you get your date for surgery at your appointment & it's sooner rather than later......😜😋

Jenn....good luck with your trip & your mum, I'm sure you'll have peace of mind once she's been checked out properly & looked after appropriately..👏👍

Kylie....thanks, we love the room & it was a lot of fun going out & looking for fun things to have in there. I wanted it all done from bassinet to cot to bed as I don't know when my time will come & I want it all done for poppy!! 💖💞🍼🍼

    Have a fab weekend girls.....especially you Chrissy....💝🎁🎉💌🎂

Oh man!!! Am I exhausted!!!! I don't quite know what to do with myself!!! I hurt from head to toe and I am shuffling when I walk but I will say the wedding went off beautifully, no hitches and an extremely happy bride. The room looked stunning and DD was very happy with the end result even though when I told her what was going to happen she wasn't sure but she did say once the set up was complete that I had given her her dream.........and that was my aim. There were a few indrawn breathes as people walked through from the reception room so that was confirmation that I did good........lol.

The food was amazing and just kept coming, needless to say my fridge is now overflowing with left overs........lol.

I was determined to get things cleaned up last night when the festivities finished so there was less to do today and even though it meant a very long day, (I got home about 1.30am) I am so pleased that I waked into a clean room with only the flowers and lights to be removed today when we and guests returned for breakfast this morning.

I thought I had every think covered but I forgot to charge the battery on my camera and my phone also went flat but I did manage to get a few nice shots and I have stolen a few from DIL. I will post for all to see as soon as I have downloaded which will probably be tomorrow or Tuesday.

Must get some sleep now as my eyes are aching I am so tired.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Hi girls, just catching up with all your news. Sheila, I hope the hip surgery resolves the pain issues you have been having and finally they are addressing your concerns. Chrissy, lovely to hear the wedding was a beautiful event and all went to plan, no wonder you are exhausted. Can't believe you did all that being stage 4, no way I could even contemplate it. Karen, congrats on the baby front, you must be thrilled. Midnight . Always enjoy reading you sagas with the trucks, even thought it brings you angst. I had my 60th party a few weeks ago with my close girlfriends flying up from Melb and all my family at my sisters in her beautiful garden. 2 flew home and then the other and I had a few nights at a lovely b&b at Byron Bay. Good times. Yesterday another party for bil's 70th and was a big day with all the family and friends. My 21 yr old son and I are a small unit family and I just love it when he catches up with his cousins and their children, as do I, I just love them to bits. I felt very sad in the early hours of trying to sleep with lots of arthritic pain thinking though of the conversations with everyone about future plans and holidays etc they were looking forward to and knowing how uncertain my future is and how it pees me that this has been snatched from me. I worry about my son not having me in his life, whether I will see him married or grandchildren( he doesn't have a girlfriend) all the things I had to look forward to before this diagnosis. Well passed on my crap to all of you now lol, so that's shared! Love to all I have missed Gail xxxx
