lol trish, that is a funny story, lol, some people in the reporters. do write funny stuff and say it too. i remember when i worked in the rest home, i was the team leader and a couple of mormons came to visit a lady, but unfortunately she had passed away three weeks prior to their visit, and i told them that and one asked, young guys,  you wouldn't happen to have a forwarding addtress.? lol. he got a short sharp elbow in the ribs from his  mate.  i said, i dont think God does  fast post. i think he felt a  real ninny.

Last night DH got Heidi, (dog) a new plate and she has really cottoned on to this, dog food, called my  dog, so i put it into her new dish and she would not touch it, so hubby said, give her the  old  dish  back and  she ate every bit. lol, stubourn shihtzus. ( little tart)

hope every one ok, sounds like you are all busy, Trish i will tell  hubby your story.  he will get   a laugh out of that. i will catch up to you all.  hugs to all. xxxxx

Sounds like my dog Annette,  she is terrified of metal plates.

I went to the onc. It makes you realise how much our reality changes with BC. Onc asks " how are you?" Me "really good, no problems" Onc "so no pain?"  " well my breast and chest area still hurt, my left hand doesn't work properly,  I have neuropathy halfway up both legs, joint pain and a trigger thumb; but really I am going well" mmmm

Kylie, yes our perception really does change!  We're happy that our pain is "just" arthritis or a side effect!

Glad to read you're "going well" Happy

Hi girls, hope everybody ok. Kylie yes, you can be in terrible pain and you go to the doc and you tell them and  they examine you, well sometimes or just issue you with more pills to kill that pain, well unfortunately, cant do  much about that, its all part of  the  illness you have, but as long as this and that not happening, then we have nothing to worry about, but you are in pain, it mucks your entire system up. I was throwing rubbish into the trailer and they were  black rubbish bags with house hold rubbish and my strength, like i have no push behind me, i  have been to gym and thought it would help more with general strength, maybe i am better, lifting my arms up and trying to get rubbish to back of trailer, was impossible. i threw them far as i could. man, diabetes dont help much either. I have  an appointment with diatician on 14th may and then my  rads oncologist two hours later same day. good, get them over with.

My hubby and i were really stressed the other day with these flaming liquidators, BIl got stuck into them, they wanted info now, but he could not do it now as he was working, and hubby did not really know and were told they would have to wait til weekend when he would have time to get to  it, its to do with the trucks ownership . we cannot pull it out of a hat right now. so they were  ok with that in the end, too bad,  but  hubby and i  both used to smoke, we were so tempted to buy  a pkt and have a smoke, we didnt, but boy it was getting close, the stress that some people put on others is  unfair. Everything in this world is, NOW. i want it now. nobody has patience, kids are that way too. Mummy, i want it now, little toddler other day in supermarket, she was really  throwing  a wobly and you are not allowed to smack, which would of done the trick.. it must be hard  on parents when there kid does that in a public place. We were told as kids, you play up at the shop and you know what happens when you get home.  not allowed to do  that now. through parents abusing their kids, its taken the normal freedom of diclpline away. because they beat their kids to a pulp, that not disaplinning  kids, that is out of control , agravated cruelty. i will go, now and we still did not buy any smokes. lol. just sometimes,  man i could go for  a smoke.  lol, hugs

    Hi all

Annette I know how you feel regarding smoking, I gave up 2 years ago and lately have been stressed with work problems and have felt like a smoke. But what's funny is that I work in Coles Supermarket and on checkouts they put me in the cigarette counter!!! I have to look at and sell smokes all day !!!

Today I finished work at 5pm the time the shop shuts. The amount of people that shop late and come up with a full trolley at 5pm amazes me. They don't seem to care at all about the workers. I have 3 days off now then work 3 days then have 2 days off next weekend as work owes me time off.

Carol, enjoy your time off...you deserve it!  If the shop shuts at 5 then people shouldn't be allowed to buy a full trolley of goods at that time. Do you at least get paid overtime for staying back?

Annette and Carol, good on you for staying away from cigarettes.  In the past, l enjoyed a glass of wine after a stressful day at work....now I relax with exercise....but I still feel like that glass of wine some days!

Carol - enjoy your days off. I agree, it's very inconsiderate of people to come in right on closing time. The shop should be closed off to new customers about 10 minutes before closing time to discourage this. Your managers are not very good! lol

Annette - yes stress over things is a bummer - good on you both for resisting the urge!

All's well in this little part of the world. We had our first sub zero temp this morning. But it's looking like it will be a beautiful day today.

    Trish

Good Morning ladies from chilly Gippsland! The Oak and the Maple leaves, from the house next door have begun dropping in my yard, so I know the Summer is definitely gone and the bagging up of leaves will be starting soon.

Carol, I know that feeling of the selfish last customer. I used to work for Myer a long time ago and we always had the same problem with customers. It's very frustrating and unfair.

Midnight, I hope this all winds up soon for you and you can be rid of the stress. I know the feeling about the cigarettes too. I gave up 7 years ago.

Kylie, so true about the change in perception, priorities too! This Dx really changes so much about us.

    Have a good Monday Ladies!

Hi everyone, it is a lovely grey day here in Victor, no wind, just slight drizzle. Hubby is getting ready to take the dog for a walk along the beach and I will pop in the shower in a minute and then leave for Adelaide for my lymph-edema appointment. I am getting laser treatment on my arm and then it will be wrapped in mobiderm (bubble wrap). This should reduce the swelling considerably and then I will get fitted for a sleeve. Tomorrow is my 6 weekly appointment with the oncologist, so here is hoping that the tumour markers are still behaving themselves.

Annette, I have never smoked but my parents and my husband have always smoked and I admire anyone who can give up smoking. My husband has tried many times and now he chews nicabate chewing gum constantly.

Carol, enjoy your break and I hope a better job comes along real soon. (((hugs)))

Hi girls!   Phew!!!  What a weekend!!  I can safely say that the Fair was a great success!  Thank goodness my SIL came over to help out as we were inundated with people and it took the three of us to keep things moving smoothly.

I have today, delivered my SIL home and then made my way down to the city to help DD do her taxes.  She has been a naughty girl and neglected to do them for the last few years..........anyway, we have things sorted enough for her to go to the accountant and get things lodged......yay!!!!

I will be glad to get home tomorrow and just relax.......I think I will sleep for a week!.....lol.

The hearing aid is going great guns and I am so happy with it!  It really is wonderful to be able to hear again!

Mandy, hope that bubble wrap works wonders on your arm as it looked soooo sore when I saw you last week.......I will be interested to hear how it goes.

Well, It's hard to keep these peepers open so I'd best hit the hay and hopefully sleep deeply......lol.

    Take care all!

    Love n hugs.   Chrissy

That's great that the fair went well Chrissy.

How did you go with your appointment Mandy, hugs x

Wow I am finding the physical side of my job really hard. So much lifting of heavy children which can't be avoided. Not sure if my body is up to this :(

Getting cold ladies. Trish it was minus 2 in Highlands this morning so I bet it's bitter there.

    Thinking of everyone x

Hello ladies, sunny and freezing here today! Power just went out so the heating stopped for a bit.

I hope your appointment went well Mandy!

Chrissy, what a busy time, but sounds like your having a lot of fun. I know the feeling of having to give the daughter a nudge to get tax done, but then the refund is such a surprise!LOL

Kylie, sorry you're having to lift heavy children, I know how that can be very wearing. I used to hate having to lift the heavy bags of thoughtless passengers. They'd get off the plane, complain of an injury and then expect us to lift their overweight bags for them. Grrr! I always thought, If you can't lift them, then don't pack them so heavy!!!

I had a day out with the girls from my Pink Ladies group yesterday. We went for lunch and then to see "The Other Woman" funny movie, real "chick flick". It was nice to get out in a group, we always have fun, they are such a great bunch of girls. Unfortunately, we seem to be gaining members all the time, 2 new members at our last meeting and I just got an Email about another newly  Dx in the area who wants to join us.

I hope you all have a lovely day..take it easy!

good morning everyone. My appointments went very well indeed. On Monday, I had laser treatment and then dermi wrap on my arm. It went down by 1.5 cm!

Yrasterday I saw my oncologist and my tumour markers are down to 24... He was chuffed and said his remarkable considering I have such an aggressive tumour in my brain.

I am still in Adelaide and hope to be home later tonight.

I hope everyone has a great day xxx

That's such good news Mandy!  Hope it continues for a long time yet!

Moira it's sad to thing that there are new women being dx everyday but it's also good to know that there are groups that can offer friendship and support.  I'd like to see that movie it sounds like a goodun........lol.

Kylie lifting can be really hard on us when we are not used to it.......give yourself time to build up the neede muscle but if that doesn't happen you may need to keep looking. :(

Yup, doing nothing today, lit the fire, made my protein shake and a cup of tea and headed for the lounge and my arm chair.......lol.  Tele is now on and I have the trusty computer on my lap.  I really do need to go put a load of washing in as I will soon run out of knickers and that won't be good so I guess I'll have to go back on my word and do something after all........lol.

    Have a great day all!

    Love n hugs.   Chrissy

Delvzy  hear you on the post holiday blues, I had them after I got back from my USA trip a couple of years ago.

I may be planning a trip to Europe for next year.  My SIL and I were discussing travel on the weekend and it was suggested that we do a trip to Paris and possibly a cruise down the Danube or such like........mmmm, I think I could get rather excited about it all........lol.
