Tammy I doubt it is a SE it does sound more like shingles.........you poor thing they are so very painful. Have you got any Maxalon? That will help with the nausea and that is caused by the pain quantity of pain meds you are taking.
Good thing to go to the doc at this point as he/she can really help and give you the right advice on the pain meds. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Chrissy, thanks for the advice. I don't have any Maxalon but I'm not feeling nauseous now so I can wait until I see my Dr.

Chrissy - so lovely to hear from you and that all is going well. I was thinking of you xoxo Just didn't get on here to see what was happening. Keep getting better girl ((((hugs))))
Tammy, oh you poor thing. Shingles are horrible. I've never had them, I've never had chicken pox, but DH had them a few years ago and he was in so much pain. We had to sleep in separate bedrooms, so I didn't get them. Sending you big ((((hugs)))) too. I can't give you any advice, as now I can't remember what DH did for them. If your DH hasn't had chicken pox, make sure he sleeps separately from you too - the shingles blisters have live chicken pox virus in them, so he can catch them.

Semding huge hugs ((((((Chrissy)))))) and ((((((Tammy)))))).
I am in Oakville. Was really sleepy by the time I got to bed but it was wonderful to be with the family again. So many cuddles. DGS came in about 4am and have me a big kiss then snuggled up holding my hand.
Will do photos later.

So sorry to hear that Tammy, Shingles are awful. I got them right after my Dad died, very painful. I hope you get a mild dose and are over them soon. Take care!
Chrissy, so good to see you are doing well, you're quite a lady! I hope you're up and around soon.
Alyson, not surprised you're tired, you've packed in so much, so far, enjoy!
To everyone else, I hope you've had a great weekend. We had a really cold wet day today so I haven't ventured out, Winter is definitely trying to take over...keep warm! M

Gosh, I don't read for a few days and everyone is busy.
Chrissy, so glad your op went well despite your reaction. Makes you truly special when things like that happen lol.
Mel, I hope your gyn can give you clear answers. Please let us know.
Tammy, that sounds painful, big hugs.
Alyson loving your photos, thank you for sharing.
Lots of good thoughts to everyone, thinking of you all.
Tomorrow I have a bone scan, my monthly zoladex implant and an ultrasound on Tuesday. Feeling really tired lately.

Morning girls!
Yes, it's 6.30am and I have been to bed...........well I haven't really been up yet but I have slept........boy have I slept!!......lol. Oh yes, yesterday afternoon lived up to all my expectations........all blockers have now gone and I'm just on the pain pills........yes very sore and sorry for myself at the moment but it will get better. Catheter was removed a few minutes ago so there is nothing tying me to the bed so I am fully expecting that when the Physio comes it will be out of bed first the first time since Saturday.
Aly aren't cuddles, kisses and snuggles just the best?! I am sure there will be many more before you leave there. Take it easy for a couple of days and just enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
Tammy hope that pain is under control and the visit to the doc gives you all the answers you need.
Kylie I sure hope your scan etc come back clean! Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best for you.........please let us know the results.
It really is amazing how close we all are........true sisters separated by distance only and like sisters we do worry about each other.
Moira, yes winter has arrived here as well, not that I've felt it in the hospital but everyone is complaining just how cold it is outside. When DH rang me yesterday he said he was going to close up early and go home and light the fire.........for him to do that and also mention how cold it was truly tells me BRRRRRR!
Rug up all and stay warm and for those in warmer climes.....stay cool......lol.
Take care all!
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Morning Chrissy! lol you are up with the birds but to be expected in a hospital. Good to hear you are now "untethered"! Hope the physio doesn't make you too sore, just keep remembering you'll be over this soon, and walking better than you did before (((hugs)))
It really is amazing how close we are isn't it!? I think it's wonderful we all care for and worry about each other.
Kylie - hope all is clear for you. It's horrible to feel tired all the time. Are you on an AI or Tami? I've forgotten lol. It might be that that's making you tired?
We've had a touch of winter over the weekend, but not too bad, and now they're saying that later in the week we'll have temps around 17, which is pretty warm for June!

Good Morning all! You're all up and happening nice and early this morning! Hi to the Mods!
Chrissy you are doing so well, nice to hear that tether is gone, it will be sore, but wow, once you're up and moving there will be no stopping you!
Trish, I thought Canberra would be chilly like we are, last couple of mornings has been fog and chill, but no sunny afternoon like we usually get after a thick fog.
Kylie, sorry you are feeling tired, maybe the change of season? I wish you all the best for all your appointments this week. Not a fun start to the week for you! I hope it gets better and you can get some rest and can shake off the fatigue.
Take it easy everyone, I hope you all have a good week! M

Good morning Chrissy, glad you had such an awsome sleep and as trish says, hope you dont get sore after yr exersise.
Tammy, my sister had shigles on the scalp and face and she was a mess, she said, she felt ugly. but she was so sore, she could not put a comb or brush next her headand .thats how she discovered it, came sore to do her hair. they were in around her eyes. and she had to be checked every other day by a nurse to see they had not ventured in her eyes as it can blind you.. so you poor lady. the pain is not nice.
Kylie. all the best for the scan. am thinking of you. i found the bed you get put on is awkward to get out of. no support to hold on to and it was not til he saw me have difficulty, he lent a hand to help me. he was not very come forth with in an automatic help a lady first off, sort of person, see me struggle and then think, i guess i better help her, and older person too, i thought would of been more of a gentleman, but in the end he did. i just expected him to help me first instead of going back and sitting down, there was no railing to grab on to.
Queens birthday weekend, i think its yrs next weekend aye, three day, weekend,
well need to do some dishes and clean up kitchen. so catch you later. XXXXXXX

Well, my doctor has decided it's shingles although he's never seen it on a foot before.....trust me to have something unusual!
Annette, the story about your sister's shingles made me wince...I'll stop complaining now....a foot is nothing!
I actually feel better today, scared it by seeing the doctor
Kylie, best wishes for your tests!

The bleeding is still going on. My normal cycle is 7 days and this bleeding has been going on for eight. Saw my gp the other week and she said if it keeps going and I can't handle it I should ring the surgery and ask for her to call me and she can request an appointment with the gyno doctor and discuss anything I can do in the meantime. Called the surgery earlier this afternoon and told them she needs to call me ASAP. Haven't heard from her so I'm hoping she should call in the morning. She said they can't really do an exam at the moment as I'm still bleeding and seeing as I've not been sexually active that any similar sort of exam wouldn't be her first recommendation. I did take tranxemic acid a few years ago for heavy bleeding and I reckon it helped. Has anyone here taken it after bc? That may be an option to slow it down but I don't think it will stop it completely.

Trish, I'm doing well today......up out of bed for a shower and toileting and when the PT came in she had me walking the hallway! She was very pleased with my knee bend and so am I ..........they are really loading me up with pain meds so I think that is helping a lot.........lol. I'm finding because of them I want to fall asleep the minute I'm still..........maybe that is part of their plan..........
Tammy glad you got answers but sorry it's shingles..........they are nasty!
Take it easy all!

Take it easy! M

Sue the cut is the same as the other one.......is the 2" cut for a total knee replacement or a partial? I have had totals on both of mine.
Doc says I can go home Saturday.....yippeeeeeee!!! Physio is happy with me as well so that's all good. I've been sleeping a lot the last couple of days but I guess that's just part of the healing process.
Jenn hopefully that's where I get to go to next year......ish.......lol. Paris looks fabulous!
Love n hugs all! Chrissy
