Just finished watching the movie about the Sullivan brothers, needless to say, I cried.
Earlier part of day was better. Went to parade on Main Street with my younger daughter and future son in law then back here to have dinner.
Loving this weather!

Hope everyone is well. Think about you ladies a lot! What has everyone been up to?
Just want to share with you that my son graduated from college today! Yes, finally. Only took him 10 years to complete what should have been done in four years. But so thankful for this accomplishment. Now to find a job.....

Congratulations to your family jan. What an accomplishment.
Had dh party today. Ended up with about 30 people. Meredith did most of the heavy work helping with shopping cleaning et all. Party was success and now I'm going to bed for a week or so

Jan- congratulations on another graduate in your family. I miss you all too.
The weather certainly has been wonderful this weekend and after yard work, I'm looking forward to sitting at the pool.
Still fighting the fat fight. I need to lose some major pounds and find this over 40 fight with the fat very discouraging and difficult.
maureeen- so glad the party was a sucess and that your friends and family were with you to celebbrate.
Have a wonderful last day of the weekend everyone.

Take a nice long rest - you surely deserve it. We have been enjoying this beautiful weather, we go through months of he** to get it and it makes it all the more glorious. love, Karen

Hi ladies,
I'm so glad you've decided to have the June lunch in Batavia! Can't wait to see everyone!
Cheryl, hope your friend is doing well. Karen, did you get your car fixed? Maintaining a car is always a pain but we need them for sure. I had to go to my storage unit today after work & get 4 tires (on rims) hoisted into my car! Nearly killed myself! I have snow tires on now & they need to come off, so I have an appt tomorrow after work to get the tires switched around & an oil change as long as I'm there.
Cancer has screwed me yet again! I applied for a mortgage loan back in April; wanted to see if I qualified. As it turns out, I do NOT, due to the fact that there was a discrepency between my 2012 & 2013 income. I made LESS in 2013 because I was out of work for 3 months while having my surgery, recovery & radiation treatments. I told the loan specialist I did NOT chose to have cancer but he said his hands were tied! I'm now working w/ another mortgage service & have to wait to see if I'm told the same thing. Life just isn't fair, as we all know.
Love, Linda

ahh linda, so sorry about your mortgage. the process isnt easy for sure. Normally if you can show them you have had the same income 3 years in a row, and your current salary shows you're on target for the previous income they should accept the explanartion. Is it possible you can get a letter from you employer of your expectted 2014 income?
Looking forward to lunch. Its saturday the 14th?

Hi all, bev, lunch is Saturday, June 21st, at !, at Alex's Place, in Batavia. I know that Linda, bev, Betty, Cheryl, Maureen, Susan and I are going to be there, Jan, any chance you can make it, with 2 weddings you must be busy all the time, would love to see you. Debbie, will you be able to come? love to all, Karen

Not ruling out June 21, but will have to see what's going on. That will be three weeks til Angela's wedding so I'll have to play it by ear. On another note, had yearly MRI this morning and visit to Dr. Bauer. They just called from Great Lakes to say all good with MRI. As far as the continuing pain, Andrea said several patients most recently have had success with a treatment called ASTYM that a local PTdoes. In fact she's the PT I went to two years ago, but was hesitant to do the ASTYM due to the pain during treatment and afterwards for a bit. So I'm gonna "suck it up" and give it a try. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Great news on the MRI, Jan, that would be wonderful if they could relieve your pain, you have had it so long. Three weeks before the wedding, wow, it must really be getting busy, we would love to see you but will certainly understand if you can't. Debbie - where are you girl, hope everything is ok, I did get my car fixed Linda, by another mechanic who was recommended and it was half the price and he inspected it too, guess my honest mechanic wasn't as great as I thought he was! hugs, Karen

hi all! Just chiming in to let you all know that I won't be able to make lunch this Saturday. My husband will be flying home from Europe, and I will need to pick him up from Toronto airport. His father passed away so he has been gone since just after Memorial Day. It has been a tough month here for us. Trying to singlehandedly keep up a house that normally requires three people to manage (yes I said three). Ugh. I am catching up though which is good. I will miss you ladies. Hoping things look better for next month!
Have fun!
Susan

Susan, very sorry to hear about your father-in-laws passing. I'm sure it's been hard for your husband (and you and Tristan too) since it seemed like he had been getting better. Sending prayers and condolences to your family. Love, Jan

Dear Susan, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your Husbands Father. Its so painful to lose a parent and my heart aches for both of you . If it helps, they say in Heaven you are 33 1/2 years old (the age jesus was when he died) and healthy and free of pain. I hope Tristan holds good memories of his grandfather and can find comfort in being with you and your husband.
Love
Bevin

thank you so much for all the kind words. It was a shock to say the least. He had just been transferred to a regular hospital the day he died (he had been in the icu of a trauma center for two months). It appears he had a pulmonary embolism. My MIL is in rough shape. I don't think they had made many plans for this happening. My husband has been trying to get her on track financially. Will miss everyone this month!!
Love to you all,
Susan

Just wanted to let you all know, I will not be able to make lunch. Only three week-ends left to get things done before the big day. Tomorrow Angela is having a trial hair do, so I have to take the veil to the salon very carefully so the hair stylist can see where it should be placed. Also might drive out to Becker farms to see if there is a wedding going on and how the room will be set up. But......I will be thinking of all of you and missing lunch at Alex's. I love that place!

Susan,
My sincerest condolences to you & your husband on the death of your father-in-law.
My late husband also died from a pulmonary embolism due to complications from his cancer. This Sunday, June 22nd, is the 25th anniversary of his death. I've hated the month of June ever since!
Hugs to you & your family,
Linda
