Maureen, that was not whining - it was right on target!!!  All the school districts are going for performance based evaluations, and the Bills get paid whether or not they perform, and mostly they are an embarrassment, simply unbelievable on the last two Sundays.  My grandson plays with more heart!!!

How is everyone doing?  Worked from home today due to tummy issues :(  Must be a bug going around.  Hope all is well with everyone and enjoying the cool weather.  This is my absolute favorite time of year. Was watching two cardinals compete for a female by the bird feeder.  It was so pretty to watch.  I hope we have a few more days of good weather.  They are suppose to be painting my front porch and work on the trim on the front porch but the weather has been so rainy and too cold for painting.

    Love,

    Maureen

Hi Maureen, sounds so peaceful to be watching the cardinals, we had an extremely dreary morning but the sun came out this afternoon.  DD had to bring a piece of furniture indoors to re-finish it since it was so cool.  It is supposed to warm up for Saturday, warm Sunday but showers, don't know if your painters work on Saturdays?  Betty, how is sister doing?  love to all, Karen

Hope all is well Karen, glad to see you posting again.  Watching Criminal minds, love the show.  Have to change cat's food again and give her medication daily, yeah, this oughta be fun :)  We take her to the vet in a bungy corded laundry basket, the big kind, because we can't get her into anything else she's so stubborn and now I'm going to have to tackle her for medicine?  Gonna be a long couple of weeks :(

Maureen, there is nothing more difficult than giving a not happy cat her/his medication.  I've even tried those pill shooters the vet said is so helful, she used it on my small, wiry cat to show how easily it worked and Sophie spit it out, it was a looong couple of weeks!!  Watching Chicago Fire, my dad was a fireman, so far it is true to life.  hugs, Karen

enjoy, my son is a volunteer firefighter. Great young man.  Iris, my cat is just sitting looking at me as if she knows I'm talking about her.  She has this look like....yeah right, good luck with that.  It's almost funny.  I went to walmart last week and bought a piece of material that's covered in all types of cats for her hassek (sp) so she's warm when she looks out the window.  Wonder who has trained who?  LOL.  I'm dreading giving her this medicine and I haven't even picked it up from the doc yet.  DH will be on the road again in Nov. so with DD in FL, DS full time job, part time job, school and volunteering I'll have empty nest syndrome again :(  Oh well, I'll have more Wii time working out. Love doing the random routines with the Wii.

    Off to bed,

    Maureen

Glad your sister received some good news Betty!  Hope your cat isbetter Maureen! I miss seeing you all and catching up...had a very nice birthday last week.  Ended up getting a new car!  Brand new Mini Cooper-we pick it up tonight.  Now how's that for a birthday gift!...my mom told me to let Stephan know that her birthday is coming up in November :).  Otherwise, things are going well--thesis is going, slowly, folliculitis, well topical cream only works to calm itching.  think that I will need oral antibiotics.  See doc next week.  Actually, wondering whether this folliculitis is related in some way to my two bouts of cellulitis.  Wondering whether I picked up MERSA while at Roswell for my surgery.  We will soon see...

    Hi Everyone,

Betty, glad your sister had a good result and will continue to pray. Susan, I hope you get some relief soon....so aggravating. Not much new here. Finished PT and continuing to do yoga. I find that the days I'm most hurting is when it's cold and rainy....great. Maybe I need to move somewhere warm.

Going to my mom's today...nothing new there...she doesn't want to leave her home so will look at a security system with a medical alert button. She's so stubborn!

Youngest daughter got a job with HSBC and starts next Monday. Oldest daughter still looking for a job. DS doing well in school, seems to be at a good place for now. I just pray a lot everyday.

Maureen, Karen, Cheryl, Bevin, Kelly.....hope you are all doing well and hope to see all soon.

    Love, Jan

    HI all,

Betty what great news about your sister, have fun at the wedding.  Susan, happy you are getting a little relief, praying for more,Happy Belated Birthday. Next get together we will need to celebrate your Birthday with a chocolate martini. Jan glad to hear your children are doing well.  How did PT work for you?  Karen, Maureen and Bevin so happy the bills won and you are now recuperating from your stressful game.

I am doing well. Enjoying not working and am busy all the time.  Going to PT for my foot, it is helping, but my butt now hurts at times.  This is from streching my hamstring and leg muscles and nerves.  My SD Katie, just received a teacher position at Summit, she is very excited.  Now she wants to go shopping for new clothes. So now I am grounded.  Pat won't let me spend any money or go on any trips for awhile. (I guess I spent to much money in Vegas, LOL)

I miss you all and hope we get toghether soon.

    Hugs, Cheryl

Hi all, Made it home safely.  Actually we just made the flight home, too close for me but my co-workers travel more frequently than me and didn't seem phased in the least.  OMG the fall colors on the trees were at peak in Boston and the views were absolutely breathtaking. I was taking with a local person and they commented the trees in the area took quite a hit from the hurricane and ice storm a few years ago.  Sounded like the same type of storm we endured in Oct. a few years ago.  We were invited to dinner at this restaurant overlooking Lake William and with the sun setting and fall colors it looked like a Norman Rockwell picture.  The wood work in the restaurant was so beautiful, everything I saw was just gorgeous.  Of course I had to do the full body scan at Logan airport.  Please, do I look like a criminal?  Ok, my special girlfriends, don't answer that :)  I had a chocolate martini, perfectly made and it was creamy too.  BTW, Betty, when is your weekend off?  We can plan by your schedule unless everyone wants to make the day at the church in Clarence?  Let me know.  Just came home from a fundraiser for my son's co-worker, S4 melanoma, 49 yrs. old :(  If your religious, say a prayer for him,  heard his med is 8K/treatment.  They had 160 baskets and 20 silent auctions going.  One auction was a signed picture of the french connection.  I loved, loved, loved Renee Robert. what a picture with so many memories.  Need sleep will post in the AM

    Love,

    Maureen

Dear Maureen, glad you are home safe and sound, who in the world would pick you for a full body scan.  Those TSA people must have a wierd sense of humor.  The restaurant sounds just beautiful, and overlooking a lake too with all the fall foliage surrounding you.  Sending a prayer for your DS's co-worker, oh so young to be going through all this.  I am good for the seminar and lunch on Betty's weekend off, I paid a medical bill twice and have a check coming in the mail - it's like winning at the slots!!! love, Karen  I had a huge crush on Jerry Korab, got his autograph at a meet and greet, a single mother groupie!
