Thanks so much Eulabt & Fire Dancer.  It's so comforting to know that you and others are experiencing similiar issues.  It's scary to go thru the process itself ~ so your words are very comforting to me.  Congrats to both of you and hope you're both feeling well too.

Fire Dancer ~ by the way, I'm originally from NH ~ we moved to Nova Scotia 7 years ago, but we managed to tour the Newport Mansions before we left ~ they were simply amazing!!!.  Beautiful state you live in.

Diane - ahhh, the Newport mansions are quite beautiful, aren't they?  ...actually tonight is the prom at my husband's high school and it's being held at Rosecliff, one of the mansions.   Well, he is chaperoning (he's the administrator) and I was hoping they needed another chaperone so I could tag along & get dressed up :-) ...it should be a spectacular night!...  I do love Rhode Island, it seems like one of the last coastlines that's not over-developed...still carries that New England-feel.  I love NH too, we are headed there for a camping trip this summer to tube the Saco river in Conway-area...

Megan:  You're sooooooo lucky ~ I hope you get to go.  Rosecliff ~ wasn't that the mansion that Arnold Schwartzneiger did True Lies in?    We really loved the mansions, restaurants, scenery, etc in RI when we were there.  You're right, such a quaint  New England feel ~

    Ladies,

I got my first fill today and let me just say that it was as fun as anything can as it relates to BC. It was so cool to watch my boob grow in size. Talk me down because I could get addicted to this!

LOL with Kittymama!! Yes, the fills were definitely the "fun" doctor appts!!  I miss them! ... though I have more fat grafting to do..and have to admit I am looking forward to those as well....if I'm able to have them graft ALL the fat from my bottom half to my breasts... I may really end up a 32F! Tongue out

Susan, you crack me up! I want fat grafting, too!!! Oh my gosh, listen to me. Now I understand those women who look like they have plastic surgery addiction. I will never judge again...I will never judge again...

kittymama - so glad you are enjoying the fills, well as much as you can "enjoy" any part of this bc-stuff!  Isn't it amazing to watch the TE's grow before your eyes?!?  Ha!  So it seems a little "boob-greed" is setting in, huh?!? Tongue out

Hey girls,  I just had my last fill today, only 50ccs each side and I am soo tight, yikes!  I think I am at 500cc ( if I counted correctly).  I am just slightly larger than I hope to be after exchange.  My PS tells me he will measure me next visit and choose implant based on measurements and current volume, is this what most of your PSs have done?  My TEs look really great, so I assume he knows what he is doing.  He told me today I had great tissue, I am so proud, ha, ha.

Christine, congrats on having such great tissue! That is a blessing! (I had compromised tissue in my incision, had 3 surgeries since BMX to get it to close. Still in process.)

Kittymama, I won't be starting fills for another couple of months b/c my incision is still healing (see above). PS wants to wait a good long while before he fills 'er up. I am lopsided Nelly at the moment. My right side is half the size of my left; PS reduced it to remove pressure & allow for healing).

PS I can't wait for the boob greed fairy to visit!

    Rennasus,

Sorry you have a rough time, you will get there and the fairy will bring you some good boobies.  Mine where asymetrical before BS, not to mention heading south, so I love these high and perky TEs, even if they are hard as rocks!

RE, "you have good tissue",   I am 47 and my PS is probably in his early 30s, today he was feeling my boobs and admiring his work, been along time since a 30 year old took so much interest!  (my 51 year old husband was with me).

Who knew "You have good tissue" would become a meaningful compliment to us? Lol!

I was told my skin was "thin" in the lower breast area, but the alloderm helped with that and I never had any problems during fills.

Rennasus ~ I'm sure it's hard to have to wait for more time to heal but it looks like you are keeping a good attitude about the whole thing :) ...Suebee had problems with her incision healing too...but she is doing great now and getting close to exchange.

Megan~ hope you had a great nail painting party with your daughters! How fun! I've only got my 17 HR old son and hubby, so that opportunity never arises at my house!

Its true- so close to Eday I can almost taste it!!!

LOL - I got from my PS that I had 'young skin' and that I was even and symmetrical and I was over the moon!!!  I never thought I would be showing my breasts to any other man but my DH let alone get a compliment like that about them!!!  Now Im hoping for a return to even since I have one TE and one natural girl and they are set an inch difference in height right now.  Its a work in progress.

Sue bee~ it is kind of surreal showing our breasts all the time, isn't it!? Lol! Hey, how's the neighbor doing? Is she still sore?

Kitty mama~ I understand what you mean about being less judgmental about women who do plastic surgery. I can see myself going for a little "extra" lipo if I need it when he is done with the fat grafting! I would have never considered it before...but as long as I'm going under anyway.... :)

    Suebee, when is your EDay?

Christine, I totally understand what you mean by the compliments. My BC doctors are the only ones who always refer to how young I am (I'm 46). My head knows that in BC land, that is not a compliment, but I can't help feeling a little ego boost when they mention my relative youth.

Susan , ITA! Shouldn't let a session of anesthesia go to waste!

Susan - youre right. Its this weird irresitable urge too....yesterday I wanted to show my BFF the new 'size' in the worst way but I was afraid to suggest it.  NO idea how she would react to the look of it, the enormous scar and the missing nipple.  She said she wanted to see "The finished product" so badly (well, so do I!!!) but thats going to be SOME time from now!!!  I want to show her NOW - so she can APPRECIATE the finished product!  Is that too much to ask??  LOL!!!

Neighbor was doing really well 5 days post surgery - she is on the usual restrictions of nothing more than light walking for 2 weeks and nothing strenuous for 6....she said her reach was great but what she demonstrated didnt look great.

Kitty - we are a military family and I dont get a 'date' until my last fill is indeed deemed 'the last fill'....which is May 24th.  PS said the exchange would be 3 weeks after my last fill.....So I HOPE its the 15th of June.  Ill know for sure next week!

Oh Sue, I totally know what you mean about wanting to show someone but feeling kinda weird suggesting it! lol!  Like you said... you want them to appreciate the finished product even more by seeing it while it was under construction!

And my PS's office wouldn't schedule a surgery date until I was a month out from my last fill!.. granted he likes you to wait 2 months minimum, prefers 3 months.

I hope you get June 15th! That's only ONE month away!!!! :)

Just had to share with you ladies....

I decided to take a peek at my Regence Online account to see if they had processed the surgery bills yet.  And I realized I am only $400 away from hitting my $5000 annual out of pocket maximum....although this completely bites to think I'll be spending $5000 just through April....this ALSO means that anything else I have done this year will be paid at 100%.

Hello back massage therapy!!!  Hello 100% paid MRI!!  Hello Naturopath!  Hello physical therapy just for kicks (she said she could help me improve my posture)!  Hello as many rounds of fat grafting I can possibly squeeze into the rest of 2011!!!!  I'm getting my money's worth this year! Cause lords knows with the twice yearly ultrasounds, yearly MRI's, doc visit, prescriptions... I'm sure I'll be hitting the $5000 again next year. Undecided

    SusansGarden,

I hear you on the deductible, I met mine on Jan 1, after having to go to Emergeny dept for ultrasound (complications from anesthesia in Dec).  I plan to live it up this year, too, haha.  Don't forget a trip to the dermatologist to look at skin moles, etc.  I will probably have my exchange in July, I am so excited.  My PS is going to take measurements, etc on next visit.  I had my last fill on fridayTongue out

Susan you crack me up!!!  At least you'll get all of the things done that need be!!!

I dont know if I mentioned this already - forgive me- but did I tell you my PS is MOVING???   You know we are military and the docs are subject to frequent moves and deployments....well first I get the PS that breaks his arm (delay my MX until I can meet the new PS) and now BOTH PS's are leaving in July!!!  That is why I am SO HOT to get this darn exchange done.  PS said "Well, Id LIKE to do your surgery but if it cant happen..." I cut him off with "Oh NO.  YOU are doing my surgery.  I am NOT getting delayed again".  COME ON!! Wait until July to MEET the PS and consult and etc and THEN set a date?  I dont give a diddly-poop WHO does all of the follow up appointments and I would even PASS on my nipple if I had to but every PS has a different approach to surgery and I JUST got comfortable with this guy!!!  So I told my DH - whatever I get filled at on May 24th - I hope youre happy because I am NOT having another fill - its on to surgery for me!!!  So instead of boob greed - I switched to boob reality smackdown.  "I 'git' what I 'git' and I dont throw a fit!!!!"  (My favorite expression with my kiddos)

Sue - geesh, I would do the same thing, I am sure you are allllll set with the idea of striking up a relationship with a new PS...and you're right, after you do exchange, if you see someone else, it's better than now.  So the question is - how many cc's will you go for this last fill? Tongue out  Seriously though, it could be worth  asking your PS to make an exception and if after you get filled this last time and decide you migh want a little more, do a half-fill? Like 40 cc's?  I did that and my PS didn't move my exchange date.  I think the time frame was like 5 or 6 days apart.  I also filled 60 cc's almost every week, no comprimise of skin integrity here - perhaps your PS can "bend" the rules for you due to cirsumstances, you DO want to feel like you ended up where you wanted to - and I have NO doubt you will! :-)  You are filled to what, 400 or so already? I think you are going to look mahvelous, dahling!!! :-)

Susan - you go and get every service you are entitled to!  Seriously, those treatments and therapies are so perfect, you are due every last massage, PT session and FG your heart desires!!! Wink  It's crazy when you go online and look at what your costs are vs the actual pricetag of treatment though, isn't it?  I recall checking the BMX and seeing how the sugery and hospital stay were like $110 K or something like that - I think I paid $10 total...I became verrry grateful for insurance after I saw that number ;-)

Megan - before I totally vomit about it - my pix are on the forum....EEEEEKKKK!

PS thinks we'll 'get there' on this next fill.  If I get another 80, Ill be well beyond the 450 I am shooting for.  Ill get to almost 500!!!  So it should be plenty for whatever he wants to do.  He said he waits 3 weeks from last fill - so I doubt he'll want to do a mini fill.  But with the size of the rest of me, I cant imagine anything bigger than a 450 anyway - and Whippetmom agrees...she thought 425 would be good - but I could aim for a 450 and be fine.  Ill be getting 350 in the good side.

I simply cant wait until next Tuesday to hammer it all out!!!

Off-topic - can I ask the ladies here who might be on Tamoxifen to chime in...my older sister just went for mamm, etc (this was her 1st visit since my dx).  With our fam hx, her chance of developing bc is at 40%.  The center suggested 6 mo MRI's/Mamm's and tamoxifen as a preventative.  My sis is 42 yrs old, my question is, how are you faring on tamoxifen?  I will check out the other tam threads, but after being a part of this thread for a while now I wanted to get your opinions...Susan, I know you're on it, any advice/thoughts?

sorry for the digression of topic ;-) ...just a quick little detour for your thoughts, promise! Smile

WOW Megan thats a tough one!!!  I opted out of TX myself but I had a list of personal reasons.  There are some REALLY great threads about TX - I think one is Newbies on Tamoxifen and I have seen Susan on that thread.  It sounds like the reactions people have are really personal....some have no trouble and some have a lot from pill one.  She'll need to do a lot of research and talk to several docs about it.

Thanks, Sue - I felt like it was a personal choice also, geez, when this bc-stuff started I had a BMX thinking I "only" had LCIS/ADH, tamox was offered but I declined and went full-on surgery route (well, you know THAT part already!!! Tongue out)  I'll check out that thread, I knew there were some floating around, but I never spent any time on a tamox. thread - thanks!  I told my sis to get over here to BCO and check out some threads, but now I find myself digressing and spending time surfing around for more info/options/experiences from the knowledgable ladies 'round this site...so as I 'wind down' my research, I will be just spending more time searching for info to help my sister, this is all so new to her, she's not sure where to start...

HOLY COW!!! I didn't realize you were already that far along, I thought this week would put you at about 450 - I'm soooooo darn excited for you, does that sound crazy?!?!? I'm just happy that you have wiggle room and that you don't have to stop fills before you are ready, but it sounds like you are mighty filled, girlfriend!!! Wink  You will look so great at 425/450.  Just from your measurments it seems like a perfect size for you...I'll meander over to the pic forum and see how you look soon!  ...this is when I am bummed (YET AGAIN) I don't have a page on the pic forum, I would love to compare and show you mine if you showed me yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did a lot of surfing this site - way too much surfing - when I was feeling most vulnerable and reading others stories really got me down.  I had to really stop myself from becomming too involved/attached in a lot of cases because it was hitting too hard.  This was all in early days though....once I got through my TX decision, I decided to back off all boards except the recon boards...I keep myself from a LOT of other stuff.  Being active on the Pix forum is helping too.  (I still feel sick that my chest is online)

But youre through to the other side now and researching for your sis which is GREAT.  You cant leave this thread though!!!  At least not until the end of the summer when Im showing off my new rack and nip!  LOL!!!
