fluffqueen, I am having my next fatgrafting over the winter, also thinking about adding some extra lipo (while he is there and I am asleep), please let us know what price you are quoted, I am even considering a mini tummy tuck, really not a big tummy but just abit of extra skin.  Husband and friends think I am crazy.

Christine...I am over surgeries. I like the idea, but just not all the cutting. Given all the surgeries my PS has done, it better be a good deal! I think I have paid for his family trip to Taiwan. He has given me free Botox and I get free Rejuverderm in January. But he doesn't do all the aestetician stuff, unfortunately. He likes the surgery end and says he is going to stay and do what he does well. His office is trying to get him to buy the machine that freezes fat, as no one on this side of town has it. It is $80,000. So far, they have had no luck. I told him I would definately do that.

Lago-I had a silicone scar patch I was using after mastectomy and the bs said vitamin E. So I would rotate it. I think it will take a couple of years. I sliced my hand a couple years ago and it is just now looking really good. I really don't know if my stomache area is muscle flab or if it is fat. I have lost about 30 pounds and with all the surgery never been able to get it all toned back up. I was loking good before mastectomy, so I hope it will tone up and the lipo won't be needed. I have the ok to start exercising again and doing some light arm weights,

I'm going in Monday, Dec, 5th for my exchange.  Did anyone have to spend the night in the hospital???  man, I hope not. I've had NO expansion in my TEs and I'm about a B. I told him to KEEP THEM SMALL...like a 13 year old.

Sure hope I don't have to spend the night in the hospital again, though.

I did not spend the night. Surgery was at 11:00 a.m. I was in the car heading home at 3:45.

I did spend one night in the hospital, but related to previous and severe allergic reaction to anesthesia agent, not surgery.  The exchange is a piece of cake!!  Good luck, so happy you are getting what you want (although not sure I would want to be 13 again, lol).

fluff, I am about over with surgeries too, although I might change my mind next year.  I am going to try and drop about 10 more pounds and then reaccess.  Getting my tats is less than 2 weeks!!

When I had my exchange including some fat transfer I left the same day, soon after I woke up I dressed myself (with some assistance from the nurse since I was nauseous from the anesthesia) then wheeled down to the car. It was the fat transfer and anesthesia/nausea that was the issue. The actual exchange part was nothing.

Vivirasselana ~ Good luck with your exchange on Monday!

Megan ~ Swelling is down, bruising gone!  More of my bras are starting to fit...though they were the ones that had a little "room" to begin with...or loosening the shoulder straps helped.  So it's been 3 weeks now.  I am pretty happy with where there are now and how they look...really natural and rippling is very minimal in certain positions.  Are you still happy with your results?

Lago ~ I still need to go check out your pics...I'm sure you look fab! :)

Fluffqueen ~ You are about one month out now... how are the girls doing?

Susan-the girls are great! At least I think they are. The glue finally came off a few days ago and they look so much better now. I see in a surgical bra or sports bra until I see him on January 17. He ave me a free day for my nieces wedding on december 30.

Fat grafting will be done in February, I think. I have asked him for pricing on a full lipo in abdomen. Did anyone do that and if so, would you mind telling me your out of pocket costs?

Lago:  Thanks for the recommendation for the Bali Comfort Revolution.

After kicking and screaming for "B" cups, it looks like I've ended up bra size 36DD or 38D.  Mind you, I look like a "B", but the width is a deal breaker for bras.  I still have some swelling and I just got back from eating for 7 days straight on a cruise, but I hope I'm almost stable.

A month after exchange in October I tried bra shopping & left the store in tears.  I'm still wearing Danskin athletic bras 24/7 for the compression.  I peeked into the lingerie dept at Macys this morning and felt emotionally strong enough to give it a try.  40 bras later (no joke) I came home with a Bali Active U Back & a Bali Indulgence for the sale price + extra 25% off of (hold your breath) $7.49 each.  Also got a couple of Bali Comfort Revolution # 3463(#23251) that I think will work.

As for the Wacol "no peeks", I don't have nipples but Nordstroms sold me a set after my BMX last February to fill & smooth until exchange.  They worked pretty good with my old Bali #3683 bras if I stuffed in some kleenex or socks.  Shades of Junior High.

$7.49 what a score! Seriously do search online. Once you know your size you will not have to pay full price. Macy's always has sales. When I bought mine they were by 2 get one free plus I had an additional 20% coupon.

As a macys employee on leave, look for the occassional one that has bras buy two get two free. If you can't find your size, buy a different one and then exchange it when your size comes in.

One day sale is this tuesday and wednesday, and the friends and family sale ends tomorrow. For all you wacoal lovers, the 25 percent coupon will work on it. Usually they dont.

Susan - glad all is well, sounds like the swelling has gone down, so you're pretty much the same size, just a bit fuller?

I'm still "content" with my results.  I've come to the conclusion that my chest wall is narrow and probably couldn't support much more FG, unless I had a smaller implant swapped in.  I feel full up top and am noticing that since the FG my cleavage is closer together than I really want. I've also mentioned (I think on this thread?) that my nipples aren't sitting centered on my "breast" anymore.  I think with the drop/fluff/FG has shifted my nipples out towards the sides a bit.  It's totally not the end of the world, just anither "imperfection"...although are any foobs "perfect"?... I'm not willing to go under again, at least not right now.  I think I look great in clothes, just the right size, any bigger would be ridiculous! ;-) Do I love, love LOVE the way they look? Well, I really really LIKE them, but LOVE might be a tad strong...

I assume if things stay status-quo for the next years, I will go for a smaller implant and more FG.  I feel heavier than I want on my chest and think that smaller implant & extra FG might be the way to alleviate that.

Also - today is my one-year since BMX.  It is also my 38th birthday.  Yes, it's a lovely way to commemorate one of the worst days of my life with a birthday celebration Tongue out ...although at least this year I'll remember today, not like my 37th, which was spent under 6-7 hours of anesthesia, followed by whopping doses of morphine, oxy & ativan...wow, I can only HOPE every birthday from here on out will pale in comparision to last years'!!! LOL

Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday dear Megan...Happy Birthday to you! :)

I'm glad this year's b-day is a much better experience than last year!  And it will only get better!!

Interesting comment about the nipples... I think I saw you mention that in a different thread.  I don't seem to have that problem yet...but then again..I don't have any cleavage...even with a push up bra.. they are closer...but not touching.  Though I've never been a big fan of cleavage for myself... which makes sense since I started this particular thread. Tongue out

Susan I don't have cleavage either (never did before either). But I do have ptosis. Never had that before. Yup I'm the only one who ended up with their boobies a bit droopier than the real things. Tongue out If you want cleavage look at my butt.

I must say I'm looking damn good these days too. Need to update photos in a few weeks.

Lago ~ I hear ya on the butt cleavage!  I always joked that I could just put nipples on my butt and then I'd have a huge rack. ;)

Fluff ~ I need to get over to the pic form! ... ever since our son cracked the Ipad screen, computer time at home is limited!

I may be in the wrong room, but i  was diagnosed with lobular carcinoma in situ in 2002 from a  mammagram and mammatone stereotactic biopsy.  I chose not to have any treatment. The doctors went crazy.  My mammagrams currently show no change. Drs want to do surgical biopsies. I just want it over with &; prefer a bi lateral masectomy with immediate reconstruction.  However, when I ask about i;,t the drs ignore me. How do women get that done so we dont have to worry so much about breast cancer in the future? I dont want chemo when I'm 99 and this monster comes out. I dont want 5 surgeries for biopsies. I know the masectomy is not a cure all or guarantee,I had an emergency c section with my son so I know surgery is not a picnic. I have 3 aunts who died from breast cancer and my mom died of ovarian cancer so why wont these drs listen to me??

Love how you gals are happy with the new girls ;-)  I think I gotta lay off with my 'critical eye' on the boobage-issue, in all reality I'm pretty darn happy about 'em the way they are...

Susan - you sound like me a few months back with the computer-stuff, our laptop broke, then the hurricane came, THEN we switched internet carriers, so I was living in the supreme dark ages for like 2-3 months, crazy!

...and the butt-cleavage is pretty hilarious! ;-)

Layla--there are other threads that focus more on LCIS or prophylactic MX conversations. I actually was an LCIS gal who decided I couldn't deal with anxiety of mammo/sono/mri and biopsies every 6 months. After 1 core needle biopsy and 2 sugical biopsies, I decided that was enough. I had a nipple sparing BMX a year ago this week and have NEVER LOOKED BACK. When my surgeon called with results, his words were.."you saved your own life. you were not a case of of IF, you were a case of WHEN" (and I have no family history). Good luck...my docs were enormously supportive of the decision. Find a great doc, it makes all the difference.

Layla just to add my "good breast" had LCIS in it. My BS said it would have to be biopsied yearly and because of my diagnosis in my bad breast (See my signature) he recommended the BMX rather than the MX. But in your case I can understand why they might not recommend. LCIS does not always become invasive. Have you looked for a 2nd and/or 3rd opinion from another BS outside your treatment center?

Can anyone tell me how to get to tim tams site? I had dcis stage one and am near the end of expansion. Swap set for Jan 23 and PS wants to do fat grafting to soften the edges of the implants. I am wondering how the implants will look compared to the expanders which look like balls of clay smacked on my chest - very pronounced edge definition. I am 5'7 and 130# with a thin frame. Actually trying to 'fatten up' so he can get some fat for the grafting.  thanks, Ladies!

I think I'm coming in late on the conversation, but I don't know wether to start a new thread.

How and when do you begin new breast shopping?

I had BMX with TE on 11/28/2011.  I have my first fill scheduled for 1/11/12.  I had 180 cc at TE implant, and PS says 700-800 total.  He knows I was a 40DD before BMX and want to go smaller, like a possible full C.  He says B would be too small for my frame, and I agree.  But, I'm tired of clothes not fitting right at DD.

Please tell me I did not miss the boat.  When do you start deciding on type of implant? Shape, smooth vs. rough, etc... Where do I get the info on which to make decisions?

Oh, and how do I get access to photos that might help?

    Thanks,

Shechirple I trusted my PS to make those decisions based on what I told him I wanted. From the start he told me he was using smooth (because I asked). We discussed saline vs cohesive gel (silicon) and because I'm thin and small saline wouldn't be a good option for me. I would have loved to do the true gummy bear but the are only available to those PS that are part of a trial.

But if you want a good recommendation read the top of this thread and post all you info. Wippetmom will give you a recommendation: linky

I 'modeled' implants before, during and after fills.  I started talking about cup size but PS couldnt give me a direct answer how that translated to my fills.  He just kept saying 'keep going until you like it, and then we go a little bit more"...well, what does THAT mean?

Finally I said, "I think I want a 325 on my natural side...can I try one on?" and we did.  THEN he started talking about "matching the hood and the trunk"....meaning making it look like I have equal projection up top and in the back...and how they look on my frame.  We did this again when I was close to that size....and I added a little to the natural side (350).  The plan then became "I will put a 350 on the left, and then match the right side to it" and I got a 475 HP smooth round.  The high profile part is standard I think for the MX side to get maximum projection.

You can go to the "Breast Implant Sizing 101" and talk to Whippetmom about your specific size and shape.  Youll need to know the stats of your TE and yourself.  Ultimately, I think if you try on some samples in the office with your SO, you will get the best idea yet of what you are going for.  Try too forget about cup size and go for look.  I dont look bigger than a C, I feel, but am sporting DDs because of the width of my implants on my teenie frame.

Hi ladies! :) Hope you all had a fabulous holiday!

My PS asked if I was looking to go bigger/smaller/same..then based the TE on that answer and my natural breast "pocket".  Then he did the same thing as SueDD's, said "keep going until you like it".  From reading through whippetmom's thread... I knew to go a little bit bigger with the fills than what I actually wanted and I am 99% happy with the results 8 months out.  The 1% is for the loss of feeling...but I knew that going in so I'm only giving it 1%. Tongue out

I am 6+ weeks out of my BMX with TEs with 280cc in them (can fill to 300cc+).  My PS says this is my max, but I was hoping to go bigger.  I know the expanders can obviously take more, but he says my skin is tight and that this is it.  I wonder how SusansGardens and others are able to go bigger than before?  Does your skin stretch if you wait longer?  How does it work?  I just wish my PS had told me to keep going until you like the size!  I was a B cup before surgery but a C cup before my children (they are 3 and 1.5 years old), so was hoping to gain some of that fullness back with this, having that as a silver lining of all of this terrible disease.

Also, I find myself very defensive about any touch to my chest.  I wish I wasn't so sensitive.  Does that sensitivty go away over time or with the real implants?  I really miss rough-housing and snuggling and playing like I used to do with my children and hope that fear of bumping my chest goes away.  Thanks for any help.

At the six week out of BMX with TE's point, I too, was sore even at the slightest touch. I totally remember that much because I was surprised.  Now, I'm sure it was mainly the pain from the pectoral muscles.  I'm now about 8 weeks out from implant swap and it has improved tremendously but I can't remember exactly when it improved or how much in the months waiting for exchange.  I should probably start writing more things down.  I hope that you lose that soreness soon!
