Implant Exchange (oYo) ~ Anyone go/stay SMALL?? (B cup)

Hi ladies. I've only posted a couple of times & am now 5 weeks post exchange w/2 new gummies. Still in surgical or athletic bras & still some pain. Posted on the bra thread too, but this thread has been a main support so I wanted to say I hope I'll still be here no matter what size. I asked the PS for small "B". Looks like the projection is OK since I can button blouses w/o gaps. But the width is just crazy.
Decided to try on my old 36DD Bali bras this week - underwire, stretchy, unlined. Looks like the band is still correct and bras sit smoothly at the top pole & center - just extra material under the breasts. Seemed a natural to go try 36D and 38D. So depressing that the cups just saggged everywhere. The underwire on the "C" cups cut into the implants.
Guess there's no hope for a "B", but I know you won't kick me off. Sorry about the whine. The shapes are pretty good. The scars are mostly healing well. The upper poles & cleveage seem nice. When I'm brushing my teeth I can pretend I'm a "B".
Thanks for all the previous posts & good information and support. This is a great thread.

RoBo47: Didn't mean to be confusing. I love the gummies - shape, size, cleavage, upper pole, etc. Several women said they found them hard, but that isn't true for me since I had such dense natural breasts. And what a relief after the turtle shell TEs. Implant size depends on your body size. Hope you are touching base with Whippetmom at Breast Implant Sizing 101 for your individual needs. That said - I'm 5'8", 150 lbs, 36 band width (& yup - 34" rib cage matching the new 2" discussions). I have 455LX (low hight extra full projection) Allergan 410 implants.
I look like a "B" - both in and out of clothes. Bra sizes are weird due to implant widths & I learned a lot from the ladies at Bras 101. I'll just need a larger cup to capture the width - but as I said that seems to be true of any implants & all the posts I've read on all these threads. Also remember Penny's bras fit differently than, Victoria Secret, than Soma, than Nordstroms so there's no set measure. I tried to get my PS to talk about chest width for standard dress sizes, and that seemed to make more sense.
Good luck & let me know what you decide. There's lots of info on the Gummies thread also.

Megan ~ that must be hard for your sister. I know what you mean about not wanting to scare her. I know it may sound odd..but with your family history, in a weird way it must be a little bit of a relief for you to you have caught it early and not have to worry as much about it anymore?
Minus Two ~ congrats on being done! I hope you are able to find a good fitting bra. I wonder if the gummies are harder to fit because they are less "pliable"? It seems like I am able to fanagle my silicone foobs into the cubs (from the sides)?

Susan - yes! in a strange way I feel relief of early detection and going BMX asap when I think about what my sister has in front of her. I can never say that to her, (of course) but I wouldn't want to walk in her shoes...all that unknown stuff and watchful waiting would drive me mad!
Minus Two - yahoo for you! Now comes the "search for the best fitting bra" Have fun shopping ';-)

38 hours to E day! Nervous and anxious! Trying to keep myself busy so I don't think about it.

Yay Fluffqueen! Pretty soon you'll be waiting for the drop and fluff!0
-
Awesome, Fluff! Very excited for you!!!

Yes! You'll be dropandfluffqueen! So what did you decide on the fat grafting? And was it you that was debating whether to have the nipples done at the same time?

Thinking about you today, fluffqueen!! You will soon be a lot fluffier!

Yeah, the big day, Fluffqueen! ...I was just on Facebook and popped in over here when I saw Susan's comment and was looking to "like" it...guess I forgot where I was
Hey, Susan - your FG is this month, right? I have a question for ya, when you have multiple FG sessions, does your foob-size change? I imagine they must get fuller each time, (after my one session with the divot filled in they look rounder/fuller,I guess? but still the same bra-size ;-) ...I realize it's done to the top of the implant, but it was a curiousity of mine....I read the post-op report and found out I had 25 cc's added to each side...

I have often wished there was a "like" button on this forum!!
My FG is next Thursday! No, my bra size hasn't changed. But I did remember noticing that they filled out certain bras better afterwards. The second FG especially helped with the divet because right before round 2 (which was 3 mos after round one), you could start to notice the divet area was sunken in a little. Not as bad as before, but definitely sunken in more than after the first round.
Now.. as I approach round 3 (4 mos after round 2)... you can't notice the divet area at all. Although I don't have a "step-off" problem ~ it wouldn't hurt to give my upper pole a little more "oomph" for good measure. Honestly, I would be happy at this point without the 3rd round. But like I said, since I've hit my "out o' pocket" max this year, I decided to go for it one last time.
I'm taking Thursday (obviously) and Friday off next week and actually looking forward to a little "down time" before the holidays!
What about ripples. Do you still have any rippling, Megan? I do on the outer edges only..and only in certain positions. My PS said there wasn't a whole lot to be done about that. I just have to patiently wait a few years for when they perfect the procedure and he can remove my implants entirely and replace it with my body fat. We talked about it last appt and he said they are really close with involving stem cells in the procedure.... doing a lot of new things in other countries. So I'm planning on new boobs and thinner thighs for my 50th...maybe 55th? birthday!

Interesting! I do think the fg "up top" makes me look fuller, definitley not bigger...I go back in Dec (it'll be 3 months then) to see what my PS says. I think I could live happily with the results I have. A small part of me wonders if one more round would really do it, tho. My concern is I think my chest is just plain bony, and no matter how much fat he adds, I'll have a bony upper chest/calvicle area. I'm feeling that if I got any fuller up top it would be too much for my frame, also. I have a nice slope still, and I'm not sure it's worth messing with it... If I do it, I'll wait till after the new year to decide. I felt like the recovery took a bigger toll on my body than I anticipated. I still have tender spots on my sides, and it's been almost 8 weeks.
I have very slight rippling when I lean over and do wacky things like that, but they relly are minimal. The thing I hate the most is the contorted thing my muscle does over the implant - it's crazy looking, huh?
I am with you tho, when my PS has mastered the proceudure of no/smaller implants and using my own fat, I AM IN! I think it would be awesome to get rid of implants, and gain a cute flat belly to boot!

Ok...enought waiting...I GOT THE TWINS TODAY....WAHOO! He put in 425s because try as he might he couldnt wedge in the 450s. Lol. Gonna tak a pain pill in 30 minutes and take a nap but thought i would catch up first!
Susan, is all your fat grafting covered by insurance? Just wondered0 -
And i did do lipo on the armpit sides. Fat grafting would come with nipples
0 -
Woo Hoo! Glad to hear all went well!
And yes... insurance is paying for all my fat grafting as it is tied to my reconstruction and my PS codes it as such.

SusansGarden, did I understand you are going for your 3rd round of FG? How long in between rounds? Where was your original divot? I have had one round, and the improvemnt is dramatic, but PS said I could do more. Are you on the picture forum?
0 -
Yes I'm on the picture forum as susansgarden too...might be a couple pages back to find me as I don't post a ton.
My original divot was at about 11:00 on my breast with cancer. It was actually where my tumor was located just below the skin and the BC wanted to get good margins so she was pretty aggressive in that area. You can't really tell in my pictures but it was more noticeable in person. Enough that people would notice it without me saying anything.

Oh and how long between FG.....
Ist round at exchange April 21
2nd round July 14
3 round Nov 10th
My PS likes to wait a minimum of 2 months between FG's.

Yay, Fluffqueen, glad you are home - enjoy the squishiness!!!0

Thanks for the info SusansGarden. My divots are (although improved, in the clevage area near the incisions) almost looked initially like stitches were too tight from initial mastectomies, about the size of a nickel, only really noticible when I push the boobs together now, not sure anyone but me and PS will notice. I go back to ps in 2 weeks for recheck of cv flaps and to discuss tatoos, guess we will talk them about need or not of additional FG. I will check out your pics, eventually I might get brave enough to post, problem is can't use my office computer and not so good at the techo part of the home computer, not something my 13 and 15 year old sons can help me with.

They are squishy! I felt the top part. I love it. Gonna look tomorrow night.

The surgical bra is giving me hot flashes!
0 -
What? ...because it's tight?
0 -
I think so. If i put on skinny jeans I get the same think.
0 -
You can wear skinny jeans! I think I hate you. I wear straight jeans but because I have middle aged legs they fit like skinny jeans0
-
After I lost 30 pounds, my friend and I were in Steinmart. I tried on a pair of black skinny jeans and they fit! Then I looked and they were an 8! I boiught them not even caring if they looked good. If it makes you feel better, I always wear them with something that covers my butt. It makes my legs look really good, and doesn't show the flabby stomache that every time I start to get toned up, I go back into surgery.
Just took a shower. Felt sooo good! I feel more energetic now and not so wiped out.
Oh, here is the down side to my skinny jeans. I put them on and the fact that they are tight sends me into an instant hot flash and I have to peel them back off immediately. LOL. I am only wearing them on cold days.

OK well I'm going to brag. I've been working this freelance gig and all my dress pants except for 2 pairs (that actually were a little tight on me in 2007) are too big. I'm having some alterered but this weekend I went to purchase some that actually fit. I'm a size 6! and one of the pairs I bought I still need to have the waist taken in a bit. Too bad my thighs are not a 6.

Lago...yeah! I did not gain weight on chemo and so far am holding steady on tamoxifen. I would like to lose ten more, and now that I am back from vacation where I ate a huge dessert every day and drank wine and margaritas, i am getting back on my no refined sugar and white flour diet. As soon as I have the ok from surgery, ill start working out.
I could probably have dropped a few more pounds on chemo but the oncologist had me all paranoid that they didnt want me to lose weight.
I do feel like i have developed a tamoxifen belly a little though. Harder to tone.0
