Deb- I agree, a great looking group!

Susan- Wow that is low for blood pressure I sure hope you feel better!!

Laurie- I thought that was a new thing, heat and hydrate ha! Sorry you can't make it this week end If I lived closer I would offer. :-((

Bedo- Bet ya could run faster though hahaha! How are you doing? I remember a while back you talked about having health issues are you OK? (((hugs)))

I have a butt ham cooking in the oven smells so good. We got it for 59cents a pound which is cheap and since I didn't cook anything special for Christmas dinner thought I would cook one up today, thinking twice baked potatoes and green beans to go with it.

It's funny- I have low blood pressure and run 60/90 almost all the time...

Soup was good had it with grilled cheese. I am ready to put the kids to bed and relax.

The little gas log fireplace is blazing away and I'm enjoying the cheery sight and the warmth.  But...tomorrow I plan to play golf.  It's supposed to warm up into the 60's.  No snow and ice and sleet, thank goodness.  I love snow, for a day or two.  Dh and I spent our first winter together in Vermont.  By March I was ready to head south where the azaleas were starting to bloom.

No cooking in this house tonight.  We had a calorie-laden lunch with my mother today (her 90th birthday) so any meal tonight will be warming up leftovers from Christmas.  I also have half of my blackened fish sandwich left.

Soon I will start posting pictures!  I can feel the break-through coming.  Today I figured out how to e-mail photos from the new Android phone.  I even posted a pic on Facebook, my first!

Hey, Debbie, I'm not too sure.  I may have to take time off from work for treatment or a trial  but am hoping for the best. Thanks for thinking of me

    Oh Susan,

I had no idea that this was something more severe than the usual colds, etc that are going around... What you experienced sounds like it could very well have been a thyroid condition called Thyroid Storm (an emergency situation)... This doctor sounds like she's on the ball! Hope you're able to get some nourishment and are feeling better soon!

    Deborye,

I recognise that group of gorgeous ladies dining at Pickety Place!!!

    Debbie,

Sorry for the rude drivers giving you such a problem!!! Just do like I do.... Pretend those beeping at you are telling you what a great job you're doing and look like you recognize those that are flipping you off and give them a big smile and a wave... It makes them think 'Oh crap, I think this person knows me'.... Removes the anonymity and people tend to feel bad.... Lol! Edited to add... This may only work in a small community such as where I live and there is a high liklihood that the person DOES know you

Yikes, Susan, What a scary experience. I do hope your new doc can help get your body back on an even keel, so you can enjoy yourself a bit over the holiday week....not a very good Christmas, for sure.

All those roasts cooking sound good!

We just came home from seeing a hysterical movie, Parental Guidance, (highly recommend for a good laugh as well as family poignancy) and had no plans for dinner, so DH made himself a leftover pulled pork sandwich and I had leftover five dollar pizza slices and a small salad. I need to seriously start back on my healthy eating pattern. The holidays have shown me that sweet and other carbohydrate eating begets more of same....and the scale edges up! Tomorrow AM I will get the Vita Mix churning out those smoothies again.

Kaara, I hope you got to keep the Vita Mix! Today everyone in The Doctor's audience got a free one. It must be hard to get tickets to these TV shows when they are giving lots of expensive free gifts.

Good for you Carole with your picture posting progress....my picture posting will probably not happen here since I hardly ever use my laptop anymore, And I am unable to do it from this IPAD which is sutured to my body! I can post on Facebook from my phone, and will continue to use that medium.

Deb, you sound like you have what my DH is hopefully finishing up...terrible cough. Good luck with the meds helping. When DH went to have his cataract surgery yesterday, the techs and anesthesiologist told him he was definitely not the only one who arrived for surgery in that condition. They were able to give him some meds that kept him from coughing at all through the brief procedure. Guess they could have a LOT of cancellations if people had to be totally cough free during a New England winter!

Debbie, so sorry that the PT has not been effective for your DH. Will keep you guys in my thoughts as he approaches the surgery. (((((HUGS)))))

Debbie, welcome back! It sounds like you had a great time! You and your DH are in my thoughts and prayers.

Susan, that was scary! I m glad you're feeling better. Hopefully everything will be back to normal once you start eating and drinking again.

Carol, 60 degrees, I am jealous!

Deb, great pic! We only had rain too, no snow. I was happy about that.

Got a griddle/grilled for Christmas and grilled some chicken on it today. It was easy, healthy and good! I think I will like this contraption.

Hi to everyone! Hope all is well.

Deb- Hope you feel better and good luck at Onco tomorrow!

Laurie- Wow that seems low for all the time. I run about 120/30 but maybe if your budy is always that low it gets used to it? I wonder if that is why you were having the heart issues?

Seaside- About 25 years ago I had just started working at a restaurant and was late getting to work I had this older lady driving in front of me and she was driving sooo slow every time I tried to get around her she would speed up. when I finaly did get around her I flipped her off going by I got to work and about 10 minutes later my boss calls me over and says I want to intorduce you to my mom, he then said, she said she met you on the highway I was devastated and imbarrassed and apologises they all laughed but I could of crawled in a hole. LOL! I try not to do that anymore cause your right you may know them haha!  Sometimes I do wave and it seems to piss them off. lol!

Lacey- I have heard good things about that movie will have to have DH take me to see it.

Kay-I love the griddle that is interchangeable so you have a grill/griddle great for pancakes too!

Hello everyone. Carol, great job on thebpics. I should probably post something so I don't forget, it took me so long to figure it out.

Susan, glad you have a good doc who figured it out. Debbie, wow, that was not fun! LOL. To all, much love.

Debbie, yes, it is the interchangable one so you can make pancakes as well.  My DD pointed that out to me.  I think she is expecting pancakes this weekend.  LOL  Do you have any good tips on what else I should make on it?

Morning ladies!  Thanks so much for the well wishes on my new adventure.

Sometimes I follow my head, other times my heart...this time I used both!  My former BF and I had a wonderful 14 year relationship, but decided it was time to move in different directions.  This happened last summer, and during that time I met someone else.  We instantly became best friends, and over a five month period we fell in love.

Moral to the story....'It's never too late to find love again."

Lacey:  I got custody of the Vita Mix..LOL!  He got custody of all the golf equipment...and...a few of our close friends.  Sad, but I'll make new ones.

    Happy New Year everyone!

Kay- Like nancy and Moon said, pannis and Portabello mushrooms. I also like to grill my pizza on it, it comes out so tender, Kaboobs, all veggies. Bruchetta. The great thing is you can put a lot on there like eggs, bacon, hashbrowns all at the same time. Yumm this is all making me hungry. LOL!

Nancy- Have a great day with yoour dad!

Hope everyone has a great Week-end!

BW stable see you in a year is what she said.  By then I will have new doctors closer to home.  She did mention that the MRI showed the breast tissue is thickened do the the cellulitis but that will probably always be that way.

Yay, Deb!  Stable is very good!

Susan - so glad you are on the mend!  That had to be scary!

Bedo - hmmm...you need a buffet brunch, methinks!  In any case, I hope you have a lovely birthday!!!

We had a late lunch, so DH is about to head out for Chinese food.  He's bringing me back a couple of crab rangoons and a bowl of Chinese vegetable soup.  I'm not very hungry.  I am feeling OK, though.  No SEs from Wednesday's chemo, that I can tell.

Michelle- Yay for no side effects!  Enjoy the Chinese fair.

Bedo- Happy birthday!  I hope you get a wonderful breakfast even though we all can't be there to make it for you.  Thanks for the smiles when ever you post :)

Apple- Hope you are doing ok- miss your posts and thinking of you.

Dh just left to pick up a small pizza and a sub for our dinner.  Boring, but I amstarving and sick of eating the same old thing.

Happy Birthday, Bedo! Hopefully you can have a fabulous faux breakfast before enjoying the rest of your day. Love duckpin bowling since I grew up on it. Get some strikes!!

Glad you are on the mend, Susan.

Glad your tests went well, Deb....and enjoy cooking that turkey!

I spent a large part of the day organizing around this house...the first I have done since Xmas Day, since we have been all about DH's eyes of late. He is doing great, vision so improved.....and that makes me really happy since he will need to snow blow tomorrow, given the forecast. ;)

Kaara, glad you didn't have to give up that Vita Mix! Best of luck in your new relationship!

We had a basic real meal tonight....seems like we never did throughout the holidays except when at our friends' house for Xmas. So.....we had grilled teriyaki marinated steak tips, w garden salad, butternut squash with a bit of maple syrup, and garlic bread.

I was happy to ignore the leftovers for this. :)

Happy Birthday Bedo! I also got a cappuccino maker for Christmas, so I will supply the coffee! And help you eat all the rest of the goodies. I'll bring some Phila. scrapple too if anyone is game to try it.

Kaara, it sounds like you are happy, and I am happy for you. Sorry about losing some friends, I guess some people have to pick sides. My brother had the same issue after his divorce.

Thanks for the advice on the paninis and mushrooms, I will definitely do those. Any good, simple panini recipes?

Laurie, we had pizza last night too. Gosh, I miss the summer when I had more time to cook. We are getting 1/4 of a cow his weekend from my boss's neighbor. He raises a few cows right on his property. The meat is amazing, so much better than what you buy in the store. I am looking forward to some good meals with it.
