Lacey- I won't comment then until you see it.  I paused it and did other things about 4 times during the show because I wasn't ready either.  Hope you can get your pics back!!!!

Michelle, He is old enough to retire? Somehow that surprises me! He will enjoy the golf, and you will enjoy the travel for sure.

Laura, from the perspective of someone who didn't need to clean him up, your boy sounds clever and inventive. OF COURSE he wanted to paint his face again! So logical in such a young child way.

Lacey, La Voile is a transplant from the south of France. VERY traditional food. My chow board loved them when they first arrived, but seem to find the menu a bit staid now. When menus stay the same, people do get a bit bored. Their fish soup is supposed to be excellent. Too bad it is filled with shellfish, which I can't eat.

I had more responses, but my brain has lost track.

Oklahoma! Eric!  Stay safe.  Please check in.  We will be thinking of Sharon on her date.  Please let us know what you need -- we can send care packages...

Laurie... the green face!  Oh, I could tell you a few stories.  I know how very  not funny it is to clean it up, especially when you are tired.  You must know, though, that we are all delighted with your naughty babies.  Can't wait to hear what life is like once school starts... didn't you say baby DS will be in K?

I had an actual dinner last night!  Fundraiser at daughter's school.  Rice, beans, yucca, and a delicious barbequed seitan.  Live auction and silent auction.  DLLP got tipsy -- Laurie!  :) -- two beers and one clear liquid cocktail (?) -- and bid on a live package which included a tattoo!  For me!  For my birthday!  And... she won!  No one else bid, in fact, and she just stood there by herself. I was cringing in the back.  Laughing, because obviously I have no tattoos.

    Please check in Eric!

OMG!  I have always wanted a goat so badly!  Not kidding.  Are you going to get a goat?  Standing by.

Aren't Levi's not comfortable for the home?  I would totally be in pajama bottoms or yoga pants.  Are they still yoga pants if you are not doing yoga?

Susan - DH is 62 1/2 and has worked for the company for 33 years.  They are no longer contributing to the pension fund or 401k.  He gets 6 months of severance including medical insurance.  It's the best offer he'll get.  He'll be able to collect unemployment after the severance is finished.  When I took the package from the company I worked for in Kansas, I was able to collect unemployment and severance at the same time.  We'll try to postpone collecting his social security for as long as possible.

    Eric - be safe!

Eric - stay safe up there. I hope they have a shelter picked out for you as they may have a tornado warning shortly. I'm watching KOCO-TV, one of at least 3 in OKC. Saw a story about the temporary (I think) communications tower put up by AT&T. Sure you will add your expertise. I know you want to be there for Sharon on the 28th and maybe you will since 7 days away. Prayers and thanks for your service. News mentioning FEMA on the ground.

Bobogirl - I love yoga pants but my butt has never graced the door of one. I spent the winter in them and flannel shirts. Yeah for the tattoo - maybe a discrete rose somewhere. In Texas you dinner would have been BBQ, corn, coleslaw or salad with ranch dressing. LOL.

Luv - you and DH are going to love retirement. Glad you feel better and your appetite has improved. Hope your trip planning come off without a hitch.

Bedo - I'm glad you're doing as well as you are. Think of you often and miss you here.

Laurie - Not having boys I don't really know how you handle them. BUT I loved the marker story. Green face, huh? Bet you make lots of memories with that.

DH's dentist messed up and no appt for today. Recp. says lots of people cancelliing for today so he prob. could have gone but storms already brewing up on Red River so glad he can put it off. That explains why we got no reminder call yest.

Luv, I am loving it that you are giving tattoo recommendations!!!

Worried about Eric.  I hear the weather is still not good there.

Bobogirl - I would be scared you know what of a tattoo so I can recommend all I want. LOL. I have friends whose son is a MAJOR tattoo artist - you would know his name from TV. Don't think his mom has one but most of my friends in this group have at least discrete ones.

The TV is very worried about 1st responders out in the weather. For the moment appears to be rain but there are storms in SW corner of OK with storm warnings. Coolish more today but more humid. Hoping the coolish would hold them down.

OHH - we're now under tornado watch until 7pm. Yuck.

Sounds great. I will enjoy the company. How's FL weather? I lived about 8 months 40+ years ago in Ft. Walton Beach.

Hot and muggy!  Although, given what's going on, can't complain.  If you want to get out and exercise here, you'd better do it early!  :)

Please stay safe Eric. Luv, hope the severe stuff passes you by. I'm out of the st. Louis area at the moment but not the storms track. So far though, no warnings or watches. Good.

Homemade pizza tonight at dsil and dbil's house. Tomorrow dsil and I are doing a pasta marathon again with the end goal being a new pappardelle dish called Italian drunken noodles. Oh boy! She also makes a mean blackberry pie. I have died and gone to heaven lol.

I would love to have a tattoo, but they are such a commitment . . .

ROFL! The total look of satisfaction is priceless. Clearly, he needs some face paint so he can investigate his inner characters.

I am tired of BBQ and salads! Feel sort of bloated and huge though the scale says I haven't actually gained weight. Tonight I am making a lentil-vegetable soup with chicken stock. I have green & lima beans, tomato, carrots, onions, and spinach. Husband is hoping that I will throw a bit of homemade pasta into the pot. We shall see.

Laurie, too funny! Thanks for sharing! Good thing it wasn't permanent Sharpie or that he didn't draw on walls or other places!

    Have been craving panzanella....

Nancy, you're the kitchen hero! Homemade pizza? OMG! Just the thought if it makes me crazy!

Eric, be safe! Hoping you return safely before Sharon's surgery. So appreciate all your efforts for those who desperately need it.

My goodness, Laurie, your son did a bang up job of painting himself!

No dinner tonight at our house.  DH drove me to a 12:30 eye dr. apptment at my request.  I can't see well enough to drive after my eyes are dilated.  Afterwards we had a late heavy lunch.

Nancy, I love your remark about a tattoo being a commitment.

Laurie  Laughing...also shared with DH and he is cracking up too.

Bobo  instead of a tattoo, maybe you could borrow Laurie's sons marker.  When my sister also got BC she wanted us to go get a tat together, but I do not like pain!  I suppose I could get one on my fake boob, cause I have no feeling there.

decided on chuck steak with zucchini in crockpot with seasonings, roasted baby potatos and cucumber salad.

Storms so bad here today, it was reported that a tornado actually touched down. I got detoured coming home from work as trees were down along the lake.Very unusual for our area, they are sometimes just called micro bursts, but I guess it was reported that an actual funnel was seen.
