susan. Love the pumpkin pic. So adorable
Wild tulip. My thoughts are with you and your dd today. Hope the surgery goes as planned and recovery is quick. Glad to hear tomorrow ypu can all rest and recover together.
Lovely. Wow. Thanks for sharing. You must Have left when you were very young. You don't look even 38. What an inspiring story. Sure makes me count my blessings to be an American. So how did you guys end up in CA ? Did you have to have someone from USA to sponsor you to get here ? Do you still have family there tat you are in contact with ? If it's to personal of a question just tell me. My feelings won't be hurt. I am so impressed with your ability to not just complain about your life but to do something drastically different to change it. Standing up and Applauding.
Feline. Absolutely love the video. Your dd looks very happy. I watched the video several times.

Susan, so cute. Can't wait to meet you guys. There's another gal in the Bay Area that can meet up with us too. I think it's Lia??
I'm back late on November 30. I'll be a zombie for a couple days then back to normal.

Wish I was resting but my furbaby Princess is getting into everything. On top of it I had to take a Benedryl earlier as I broke out in an itchy rash. Think I got it from laying on the rug last night while playing with the "kids".

(galloping through) Working on an assignment for my Introduction to Business class: take over the contract for campus cafe on [insert community college name here]. An interesting challenge: only the one place to eat on campus but it's a commuter campus--there's a dorm but it's only just two years old--and the majority of students are part-time.
Susan3: awwwww the cuteness!
I can well imagine that Chicago's gone crazy since last night. I'm from San Francisco (Giants and 49ers) so I was kind of meh, but it's important around these parts.

Jazzy, Don't work too hard, and enjoy the conference.
Feline, What fun videos!!
Loverly, I'm standing right beside Patty and applauding you as well. You are amazing to have endured so much and still have such humor and kindness.
DD is fine..all went smoothly. The Dr did run a little late, but we finished up just in time to pick up DS. Then I napped on the couch. Around 5 pm DD was sitting in a chair, watching videos and smiling/waving her arms (chair dancing). Back to herself! Glad to have it done..now I can think about Thanksgiving.
Sweet dreams, everyone.

Patty, aww...I'm sorry missing your family is causing you lack of sleep. I bet they miss you too. DD has a sore throat, but otherwise her happy self. I promised a PJ day for her, which she loves. I hope you can chat with your boys today.

Loverly - I'm glad your family made it here, such a hard time that must have been. Leaving everything you know is unimaginable...I'm thinking you were young at the time how scary. You are amazing. Yes I tried the Gaba and even at the low dose it knocked me out the following day so I stopped. Are you still having the burning/nerve pain also? Any ideas?
Sensi - great seeing you as I left the doc this week! So good you had those labs run, that dang chemo likes to mess with things. Hope theres an easy solution, you were ready for some no doc time! Zero trick or treaters and managed to have dh eat the candy not me.
Queenmomcat - yes huge Giants fan here also but what fun it was watching those Cubs and not the Dodgers!
Susan - great pictures. Congrats on the Cubs win, we were right there cheering for all of you and enjoying watching history be made
wildtulip - yes that drain came out !! and they aspirated the other side. Hoping surgery went well for your dd

Wildtulip- I love a PJ day too! Hope DD is better soon!

Awww yes PJ day.
WildT, you deserve a break. Usually how long is recovery time for vocal chord surgery? The burning pain I was referring to was an unwanted gift of MX. Thank God it comes and goes and does not last very long. I can't complain. The trees here are changing color finally. Have a restful weekend.
JeanQ, it may take a few days to weeks to build a tolerance to the drowsiness of Neutontin. BUT you know your body and what you are willing to tolerate. Did you say that the burning pain is more on the radiated side? Ask your surgeon when you can start massaging the area that is bothering you. So far I can deal with the burning pain as it doesn't stay very long. Massaging seems to help. I just have to be careful not to get caught doing it in public
Patty, my aunt's husband's brother who lived in Louisiana sponsored our and my aunt's family. We lived there for six years before moving to California after my dad lost his small take-out restaurant. Dad is an honest man so he assumes everyone is the same. Long story. Don't want to bore you with it. Dad was devasted so he wanted to move far from there. California was the farthest west you could go to without falling into the Pacific Ocean. Ha! Actually, Dad has a cousin here in Ca plus economy here was better than Louisiana at the time. Mom went to school to become a manicurist. Yup, manicurist. Have you heard this joke.....you know your momma is Vietnamese if she is a manicurist. Hope your boys and DH arrived home safely. Now you can hug and comfort them.
Sensi, the hike is on November 12th-next Saturday. Forgot the name of the place, but it is in the Bay Area. I can drive. Was thinking about taking Mitzy, but I don't think she is ready to be around many people yet. She will get panic attacks.
Jazzy, hoping for no major glitches when you go live. I love PJ days too.
JunieB, good that you have a plan in place for the pup when you need to rehome him. Very thoughtful and loving
Kath, hope wedding went well.
ShepK................bakawk!!
Susan, DH cried too? Awwwww. I want the Pumpkin!
Mommy, how is Jackson?
Feline, the videos put a smile on my face. So carefree!
Ms. S, make sure you share pics of Hawaii and Australia. How many bikinis are you bringing?
