Got a question about Greek yogurt. Is it better or as about the same as the regular kind. Just wondering because my hubby picked some up at the store for me when he was on his way home from work.

Mommy, Greek yogurt has been strained so it's not as watery. It is thicker, denser, and actually has a bit more protein than regular yogurt. It's a very healthy option. I actually add it to my mayonnaise to cut back on fat and use it in egg salad, chicken salad, etc. No one knows the difference, and it saves calories while adding protein 😃.

M0mmy, we use Greek yogurt on some of our sandwiches and burgers. We use it on our baked potatoes instead of sour cream and I also use it in place of cream in some receipes. It's very good for you and as Lita mentioned you don't know it's there.

Wenchie, did you go to the dirt thread? It's not that I haven't been respectful of dirt. I did get into it as a kid and baseball etc. But once I got into nursing, I just shied away. But if you could see my twins gardens you would be spellbound. I'm so respectful of anyone that can get dirty. Note my reason for considering Donnie for a boyfriend on the Dirt page.

After reading about Mycobacterium Vaccae, I looked at the Phylum . Has many great bacteria and many buggers. But after being here since 2009, I was entranced with the gardeners. The number of sisters that would as soon as they could get back to their gardens, was a wonder to me, being a dirt disliker. Always back to gardening even if they didn't feel well. I know I'm taking the thought on too long, but it makes me wonder so much.

So many offered words about what they were doing, What it meant to them, what they were planting. Posting pics, their enjoyment to me was again a wonder. It was like Alice in the Looking Glass, but I never stepped through. I seriously, do love beautiful pics and landscaping, but it's different. I have never created such. I never planted the seed and watched it grow.

Sassy, I did make it to the dirt thread and found all your research amazing. Who knew the mud pies I made as a child were actually good for me? I should have taken a bite 😜

Well, I never thought to substitute mayonnaise or sour cream with Greek yogurt. I welcome less fat and more protein. I learn new things all the time from you ladies.

Have not sat through Star Wars movie. Not sure why. My youngest brother loves Star Wars.

Ben and JJ are adorable! Love that age.

Ms. S ~ interesting looking quilt. Would love to see the finished product.

Feline ~ I have problems with the bold key too. I find that highlighting what you want in bold print, then select the bold option afterwards works ummmm....sometimes. Dang! It worked with the first sentence. Not sure what happens now. Never mind. I thought I was smart.

Now it is not only in bold, but also italic.

This thing has a mind of its own. Oh well!

Mags, hope your mouth is healing everyday. Can't imagine pain in mouth that requires Morphine. Hugs

Junieb, wow! You still have your first pair of shoes?! I remember those. The only thing that I own is this 40++++++++ body of mine. We lost everything when we left VN. BUT, praise the Lord for our lives.

Ah regarding dirt, my younger DD was the kind of toddler who always introduces new things to her mouth. We even have a picture of her trying to taste sand. She was a dirty kid. Used to get sick what seemed like every few weeks. When we were in Nepal, she was the only one out of the four of us who didn't get the bad stomach infection with flu like symptoms. Hmmm.

Sensi, was that a doggie muffin Chance was eating? 11 year old...that's 77 human age. He still looks young and handsome even with the pointy head. Ha!

The other day I made braised/stew chicken. I usually try to boil the eggs and add them in with the chicken. They absorb the sauce and taste wonderful. Anyway, I was expecting a text from our dear Shep to let me know when she was ready to chat. I was trying to rush through making dinner just in case she calls. Neurons crossed wire and this was what happened:

Cracked egg works better on frying pan with oil, don't you think?

So weird...the bold was working until I hit submit.

Kathy, how are your eyes? DD will be done with school in three weeks. How time flies! We will travel to LA to move her back Memorial weekend. Not the best time to travel as there will be more people under the influence driving during the three day weekend. We just need to drive defensively.

I called her last week to apologize to her for being a helicopter mom when she was here for Spring break. She told me not to worry and that she knows I love her. It is not like she has not driven in LA traffic Shocked....what a way to find out LOL. Still doesn't know what she wants to major in, but leaning towards psychology. Dad is not too happy. He worries she would have a hard time finding a job going through that route. She loves psychology and history, but has not completely exclude medicine. So tough when you don't know which path to take. I told her to go volunteer at different places to get exposure.

Weird question: Have any of you ladies experienced sleep paralysis? Had one today when I napped. Hate the feeling of being awake and aware of my surrounding, but not able to move. Have had them ever since I was little. More frequent when I was much younger.

Loverly - So now you are going to sleep in your sexy shirt? You Wild woman! About your kids, its hard not to be overprotective no matter our kids age. Especially when it is something like LA traffic, so stressful. You are such a wise and caring mom, your girls are blessed to have you and they know you love them.

Shep - Hi there, how are you? So glad to see you Smile, keep getting better!

Mags - Hoping for good healing and glad to hear it sounds like the pain is a bit more controlled.

Lori - Awe, thanks for worrying about me a few pages back. I'm still around just so much going on I havent been getting here. Your grandbabys smile is precious.

Smaarty - Your quilt turned out nice! I love that pattern, its on my REALLY long to-do list.

Sensi - Oh boy a new supervisor Loopy!! So happy you are getting away this summer on a real vacation, you deserve it. Say hi to Dr. H, I miss her already. Meet my new MO in a few weeks.

Junie - How great that you have your baby shoes, an amazing keepsake.

I'm headed off on a little road trip to see the grandbaby!! Cant wait to get away, a change of scenery is much needed. Will sure miss Gus kitty but the grandbaby is waiting! Waving to all I've missed, happy Friday to everyone.

DH has been going thru his late mom's photos. This was taken 15 years ago. Our very first Bulldog, Tiffy, was only 8 mos old then (we got her 2 mos before). She was such a character. I'll be seeing you very soon on the other side of the bridge, my little TIffster.

Lov erly.Binged Sleep paralysis. Lo and behold it's a form or subdx of narcolepsy. Each section has a symptom screener questionarrie. Looks like a solid question list.

    http://www.morethantired.com/about-narcolepsy?utm_campaign=Sleep+Paralysis+General+Awareness+%5BP%5D+%7C+MTT+GA+%7C+Bing+%7C+2017&utm_content=!acq!v3!1304020795889576_81501303716935_81501300919874_c&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=bing&utm_term=sleep%20paralysis

looked at the screener questions. Generic to narcolepsy versus specific to Sleep paralysis

But Sas! Didja see what Loverly tried to do there? She tried to blame that egg mishap on ME! As if I would ever be near an implement of cookation - physically, emotionally, imaginaryally, physically.... no way! Guilt, I say. THAT is the real problem. Ooooh, that Loverly is a naughty one!

Feline, I reread the posts and I couldn't stop laughing! M0mmy's going to try a mud pie with fruit on the bottom! To funny!!

Lita, such a beautiful picture. You haven't aged a day!

M0mmy, we had a sunny day here today also. It's going to get down into the 30s tonight. Brrrrrrr

Lover, how scary that must be! I'd freak out for sure 😳

ShepK, Isaw what Loverly tried to do. Keep an eye on her!

Ah- Hah I missed that Shep. Well, Loverly, just because you are missing synapses of the neurons and dendrites, it can't be Shep's fault.

Had a lovely afternoon thinking about dirt then about shingles. I have such an interesting life. Hahahahahhhhhhhh

Yes LITA yooohoo--------beautiful pic, the dying thought was a squeaker. Loved your English Bulldog. My BFF was here two weeks ago with her Grands from England. Two generations. MY BFF started talking about her English Bulldog. Her Grand daughter 33 y/o started on how she hated that dog. My BFF went green. OMD I almost chocked. I said to her and her brother "Dear young ones, remember never ever say a negative thing about anyone's pet, because they aren't just a pet, they are as much beloved as you are". I could tell my BFF was relieved. She returned to normal color and laughed.
