But but but I thought monkeying around meant getting into mischief....like goofing around.

Hey Owlettes! Anyone still up? I've been having the most delightful visit with my son's mother-in-law! If you remember the story, I placed my son for adoption shortly after he was born, and we have been reunited for 12 years. MIL was telling me that she never much cared for the adoptive parents, but she was so delighted when she met us because we had an instant rapport, and since she's been here several days now, she's been a perfect fit here. She doesn't have to be entertained, she's quite content to sit and chat, or watch tv or whatever. Today we went down to Bricktown, which is where our River Walk is, with the intention of taking a boat ride. We had my wheel chair so it wouldn't be too much walking. We stopped for lunch first, but I am still not able to eat with these stupid dentures because they still don't fit right. Then we headed for the River Walk, but we couldn't get to it because none of the elevators were working. And that was after we paid $10 to park! So disappointing. Tomorrow (I'm determined) we'll go to church, then we're going to take her to see the OKC Memorial Museum. It's been years since I've been there, it's a very moving experience, especially for someone who lived through it. The museum is in the building that used to hold the city's business newspaper - where I worked proofreading copy when I first moved to the city. So it will be an emotional day.

About these teeth - when I took them out I could see how swollen my gums were. I hope I can wear them tomorrow. The uppers mostly fit ok but the lowers really don't. I thought they were too loose, as I had to practically fill the channel with glue to make them stay - but then it was so swollen when I took it out - like your ankles look when your legs swell and you're wearing sock, does that make sense? Hopefully I can get in to see the dentist Monday and see what he can do. No word from the oral surgeon on what happened with the posts, but we did get a letter saying they want their money and insurance won't pay. They didn't say which insurance, though, we're trying both the dental and the medical.

Got to get some sleep. Church comes early. *blows kisses*

Mags, Enjoy your attending church and the Memorial Museum. That was very moving - far more than I expected. I grew up there but moved away when I married.

Oh Loverly, thank you for coming into my life You are the greatest joy for so many reasons. You take care of so many here. Maybe all don't know it, but you connect with so many by text or phone. That is so important.

For all others here and lurking. Contact by voice is the next best thing to contact in person. If there isn't someone that you want to contact by voice on IT. Find someone one or a few that you want to contact from other threads. BC and all that happens after can be so isolating.

Others on the outside are clueless. Plus, when you have a distant friend that is outside the circle of immediate family and circle of friends can hold thoughts that you don't want shared with others to close in.

Feline, had a good laugh with the mud pie too.

    Lita, nice pic.

Me naughty?? NEVvvvvver. Look who's talking?

Lori, SHEP is the one you need to keep an 👀 on.

Ms. Sas, thank you for the link. Very interesting! Sub-diagnose of narcolepsy.....hmmmm. DD has the sleep paralysis too. Glad her younger Sis doesn't have it. Sometime I get the hypnagogic hallucinationsShocked I don't think I have any mental issues though ( Hush Shep!). Do have problems with focusing/concentration. Guess I can blame my deficits on malfunction neurons, neurotransmitters, or whatever.

Oh about the Malignant Hypothermia with anesthesia, I don't think I have it. Are you sure you are not mistaken me with someone else?

Sassy, so well said! I'll have to give out my number to someone that needs a friend to connect with. That we can have something in common with even if it's this dreaded BC

Well, how did that happened? I thought I was the only one awake. Finished my post and found four above mine. That tells you how slow I type and think.

Oh Mags, bummer about the gum and insurance. On the bright side, good to hear you get along great with your son's mother-in-law.

Went for a stroll at the Golden Gate Park this morning. I can spend the whole day there.

DD came down from school to celebrate her "pre-graduation" dinner with DH and me. Of course it's also Derby Day, so we wore hats decorated with roses from our garden. We had a delightful Spanish dinner of tapas and wine as we planned short weekend trips for the near future.

Loverly, I have never traveled much, but have been at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Hmm I don't think that's where you are at. With DD1, indecision on career, I did the same thing. At least if she gets the universities required core curriculum out of the way it buys her a wee bit of time. If she can't make a decision after that then she out to take a break and withdraw. $$$$$. What is her passion. Can her passion provide a sustainable income. When passion comes into convergence with sustainable income that's a winner.

Yes, I found the same thing, all these posts while we were writing.
