Sas- I jinxed myself. Slept a few hours then was up from 12 to 3:30. Probably didn’t help how I felt today. And I have no idea how that good sleep happened. I wish I knew so I could do it again! I’d share for sure. I’m headed to bed now. Super early. Feeling just bleh today. Hopefully I can sleep whatever it is off and away.

Ladies
Sas, I'm at a loss of words. I'm so glad I joined this thread before she passed. I will miss her, and loved reading her posts. I know hospice care was coming in, and she was getting her affairs in order. Are you in touch with her DH, and kids? Hope they're holding up. What a great soul. Prayers.🙏🙏0 -
Oh, no. Patty is not doing well. Thanks or letting us know. Please keep us updated. Prayers.🙏🙏🙏🙏0

Probably, breaking a trust, but Patty's ex Dh's name is Duke. I loved it the first time I heard it. Duke. Like John Wayne. Duke. Patty and I were indelilcate about talking about sex. So i substituted ESSEX for sex. We both got a charge out of it b/c it still was saying the same thing, but not. For example, I took a trip to Essex this week end.
How many ways do we say goodbye......................how many times do we let go,..... how many. I guess I still have this in my fingertips. (ctrl V)
The Lord is my shepherd;
I have everything I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.Even when I walk
through the dark valley of death,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies. You welcome me as a guest,
anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.Surely your goodness and unfailing love
will pursue me all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Amen- The Bible, Psalm 23 -

Ladies, I'm extremely technically stupid. Will someone tell me what " I'll pm you later means? Never used it. Another nice lady on another thread said she would pm later. I asked her tons of questions, and too embarrassed to tell her. How do I check if someone pm'd me? I feel like a complete idiot.😂😂🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️0

Click on 'private messages' up at the top and it will take you to the place where messages would be.

jaymeb - PM = means "Private Message" Just go up to the menu on the upper left side of this page and you'll see in the blue list "Private Messages".
Don't ever feel or say you are stupid or be embarrassed. None of us learn without asking sometimes. There are always others who have experienced the same or similar things and are a great resource for help to the newbies.

Wren and Junie
It was easier than I thought. Thanks so much, and not making me feel dumb. I love how this forum is so easy to talk, and no judgments. I look forward to reading these forums I'm on everyday. You women always put a smile on my face, even when I'm down.😀

Jay , we all wrap our arms around you, Never hesitate to ask anything.

Sensi, I love the video. He was such a happy boy only because he was well taken care of. Couldn’t help but smile watching the video and then the tears came pouring down when I saw the last picture. He was ready. Wish I had taken your invitation to come to your place to watch Shawshank Redemption. I missed my opportunity to meet and play with Chance
Blue, thank you for sharing your feelings and thoughts about those close to you.
Mags, I agree. You need to have more flowers in the front of the house. Very cozy place. Love the details. So when can we come for dinner?
Ms. Sas, I didn’t post any links for the roll. I would be careful rolling your lower back on the floor. Are you using it the same way you used the rolling pillow at the resort? Hope it’s useful during spasm attack.
Junie, we need to break the bad spells. Gosh!
Tarenee, what grade do you teach? DD2’s first year in high school. First few months was a shock. Kids fighting every few weeks. The last fight one of the boys involved lost consciousness and ended in the hospital.
Jay, first shower was divine? Feeling better? Less pain? Hope you continue to hang with us minus the insomnia.
Hello to my other Sisters.

Getting snow here again. This looks to be a pretty hard one, could see a foot or more.
0 -
Well it's my turn to be awake tonight. I took my sleep meds several hours ago and here I sit.
Loverly - Is that spells or SPILLS? As you know it has been one thing after another since December, but with the accident last Friday and then yesterday morning as I was vacuuming I managed to lose my footing and fall on my face (so to speak). Really jarred my Thoracic spine again. It is beyond embarrassing to call the doctor anymore. I am thinking this is not all worth it. I have no family, only a dog. I don't find any pleasure in my day to day life. Quality of life is challenging to find and it is only going to get more so as time goes on. I need a new life, but don't know where to drop off the one I have.
Then the news about Patty is just so sad to comprehend.
Jaymeb - I am glad that you got the PM's figured out.
Mags - Your new home is pretty. It looks like you'll be quite comfortable there.
Sas - So glad your computer challenge is fixed and your tax stuff is finished.
Well I am reading a cute little mystery book, so I guess I'll go back to that. Maybe I'll fall asleep before daylight comes. Later Ladies.

Snowing like crazy here and according to the latest forecasted storm totals I could see 10-16 inches of snow. Don't think hubby will be going to work tomorrow as where his job is could see 6-10 inches.

Hi
I had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction on 1/25. I’ve been having sleeping issues ever since. I had the drains for 4 weeks, and while it did improve when they were removed, I’ve moved on to different issues.
When falling asleep, I get the sensation that I am falling and jerk awake. Or, even worse, once I do fall asleep I wake up with weird sensations in my legs (sometimes my arms and torso as well) that I need to move them. I have to get out of bed and walk around when this happens. This is also when the itching is at its worst. Not just around surgery site, sometimes my head itches so bad it drives me insane.
I haven’t slept more than 2-3 hours at a time for a couple weeks now. It is taking a huge toll; I feel like I am losing my mind. Anyone else experience this? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Stljoy, welcome! Sorry you are here. I am wondering if you have Restless Leg Syndrome. Iron deficiency, diabetes, and other chronic diseases can accompany RLS. Some meds can also worsen the condition. Was surgery complicated and you lost much blood? Maybe, have your doctor check your iron level since you recently had surgery. As far as the sensation of free falling and jerk awake......I have them when my stress level is high and feel like I am losing control. I like to be in control as am a control freak. Hah! Best wishes on finding relief soon.

Morning folks. A bit of news Mags had her Pet scan and she's had progression. She starts Gemzar and zygeva next week. She will pop in sometime soon.
0 -
Oh no! If you talk to her before she pops in here, please let her know I am thinking of her.
As if getting a foot of snow yesterday wasn't enough, I am getting snow showers tonight and we have the possibility of getting another storm early next week.

sas. Thanks for letting us know about Mags
Mags. So very sorry. Progression sucks indeed
Mommy2. So jealous of the snow.
Loverly. Waving hi.
Junieb - I totally understand the no quality of life thing. It is a hard truth for me to face but when there are more bad days then good and then also been in hospital 4 times since Christmas prob 4 weeks all together for me. That means time to throw in the towel. Ouch hard hard decisions

Hey Pattie, Love you. I hate this dieing stuff.
I tell Mags

Hootie hoo Patty! We got to have plan b. What do you think of these wigs??
0 -
JunieB, now why did you go and delete your post? It’s easy to feel defeated when we don’t feel well and are not getting reprieve from the troubles of life. They can drag us down physically and emotionally. Hope you were just having a bad day and today is a better day for you. Please don’t think about waving the white flag. The Enemy will win. Hugs

Oh Mags!!

Loverly. Wow. Now those wigs look good. My wig during round one of this fight was plain ugly and you could tell it was a wig from far away. Course that was in 2002. I guess wigs have improved.
Mags. U lurking. Prayers are with you.

Loverly
Love those wigs. It's funny, when we thought I was going chemo, I got into that mindset, and actually started looking at wigs, and beautiful turbans. I even got my daughter to help me look. Well, due to my low reoccurance score from genomic testing, did not need chemo Of course that was great news, however, my crazy self still wanted to wear the wigs, and turbans. Lol.
Good lord, what is going on at these schools??!! My daughter went to Catholic school from pre-school to 8th grade. I wanted her to continue going in high school. Well, she did not want to have anything to do with private schools anymore. Her dad agreeded she would be fine at a public school, and save 45,000.00. Well, I agreeded to it. She only knew a few people who have gone to this school awhile. She went from a class of 30 people in her grade to a huge high school with the freshman class of more than 400 students!!!! 9th-12th grade is close to two thousand students. I was extremely overwhelmed, Well, she looooves it. The boyfriend goes there too. They've known each other since kindergarten. So, as I was starting to get used to this new enviorment, my daughter's 6s phone was stolen😬😬😬. She was in her locker room to change, stepped away for a minute, and the phone was nowhere to be found. That is the only room that does not have cameras. I was furious. Her dad had to payoff the phone, and well, she gets the 7Plus. Yep, gotta a newer phone.🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Two days later, some guy took her "new phone" out of her pocket playing around, then it went smashing into the cement. This time I went ballistic. To my surprise, the guy offered to pay for the damages. I started yelling at Reece, and Paul, my ex to please take her out, and go to our Catholic high school. Again, I got shut down. He said she's in "the real world" at her school. I took me awhile, but now I'm finally comfortable with this huge school. I know there are pros and cons at both public, and private schools.
Everyday when I pick her up, always in a good mood, and happy. She makes all A's. and has met many friends. She talks a lot like her momma. What I do like is the diversity of the school. We joke, and say she's been in a "lily white" school for too long. However, she does have a good foundation from her years at the Catholic school.
Well, two weeks ago, several of her friends got in our car to take them home. You get more info from several girls talking. So, Aye, one of her friends tells me their 48 year old coach had been having sex with a senior. They were both caught coming out of a dark closet. Apparently, this has been going on for years. The girls really liked this coach, so it was a shock to Reece. Never have heard of an adult messing around with minors. Why would a man want to take that risk?? Well, of course he was fired on the spot!!! Again, I wanted to take her out, my reasoning being this would not happen in smaller private school. Then I find out, yes shameful stuff happens anywhere. There was also a food fight in the lunchroom, and the guy got up, and was about to hit a female. What the hell??? A guy assaulting a girl. Unreal.
I guess my head has been in the sand from reality🙄🙄. Well, Reece will continue to go to this school, and I'm on pins and needles everyday worried what the hell will happen next? I'm sure drugs are a problem, although German Shepherds are brought in to smell for evidence. Already been a fatal car crash, all died but the drunk driver. At least I can say Reece has a good head on her shoulders, and chooses friends that share the same interests. Sighhhhh.
I also hate what happened at your daughter's school. This boy could have died. What is wrong with kids like this? I understand the shock, and I wonder if another school is going to have any shootings? Stealing, fights, and teachers having sex with students, what is next??? Sorry I wrote an essay, I just text what I think, and get carried away. Well, getting loopy. Have to be up in three hours. Gotta love this 24-7 thread.👍👍👍

Hi Patty
If I sound loopy, or weird, I'm on ambien. I wish I would have joined this forum much sooner. I don't know you that well, but I've been keeping up with your posts, and what a great friend you have that keeps us informed on your condition. Earlier today, you seem to be feeling better, and it was great for us to hear from you. These ladies really love you, and I'm trying to read some of your earlier posts. You have such a positive attitude, and great sense of humor. We know how much you love your boys. You will always be with them. I do agree hospice is great. My father was in hospice for a month before he passed. They do everything, and are very compassionate. They make sure you are comfortable, and also a great support to your family, and loved ones. How are you feeling right now? Did you get your Ativan? I hope you're having a peaceful sleep. Love your ending Hootie hoo😀😀

Mags - wonderful choice for your new home! You must have fallen hard for it. I know I would have. Glad your cousin will be living there with you. I always wanted in old age - not that you are old - to live in a full house w some other women. Like Golden Girls. Except we would gte along better.
Junie - when I was last here I read about the accident and forgot to mention it. So happy to hear you were not badly injured. Darn hospital staff for not taking better concerns of your condition though. We're always told to say this and that and then it's like, shrug, oh well, when they are told.
Been sleeping at night except night before last had to get up at 4 for food and 4 x strength tylenol which did not help.
Thank you Belle.
Diane
