Kind of busy with my phones today---just a few minutes ago got  call--this weather is brutal for people. And all kinds of things happens with electrical stuff. U think I understand what they're even talking about? I know a few things that's it.

Hi all, finally got out of the house today, running around just exhausted me.

Aly, aren't you clever with all those photos? They bring a smile to my face! Love the cat in the bunny suit! My two cats would never allow that. The cat we lost last year would have let us dress her up if we tried, she was a love.

Hi1, yes, I have my days and nights mixed but then again, always have.

Smaarty, I didn't quite understand the comment about the rabbit either, what did I miss? (I already know I'm missing out Winking.

Chevy, compared to the rest of the country, our weather is much more desirable. However, it's so dry here that a little spark could set the area ablaze, winds just spread it quicker. This year without rain, we have fire danger warnings on the weather report each day and night. We desperately need rain. We had our first blaze of the year last week, was probably on the news. Was really scary when DH and I were on a cruise with his parents (back in '99, for their 60th anniversary), out in the middle of the Pacific and the ship news reported a big blaze - in our city, just a couple of miles from our home. My parents were watching the kids and didn't want us to know that the fire trucks were racing up our street to get to the forest fire. If thre had been winds it really would have been scary.

from the first time I held my Callie, she let me hold her in my arms like a baby, tummy up, and purred the whole time. She just loved the attention. Like I've said, she had the personality of a dog. She would come to us when we whistled or called her name, she figured out how to push doors open to get where she wanted. We kept teasing that if we had a door bell at her nose level in the garage, she'd probably learn how to use that too.

Oh that's so cute my other cat would lt me do anything to her, but this one who (for a cat) is very affectionate doesn't like certain things--it makes me wonder what these little ones lived like before they came with us, Our dog is a rescue dog and is wonderful he listens with one time telling him and he's just so nice, and I wonder why someone just left him at the shelter on a leash in the rain. But his very fav person is my DD when she leaves he cries a lot, he's so sad and likes it best when everyone is home.

these animals are so amazing, they give us so much and ask for so little, just food, water, lots of love and to be treated kindly (maybe a bit more). I can't understand some people! I fell in love with my white Siamese (flame point), she had been abused before I took her. Didn't see much of her for years, she's changed so much over the years. Don't know where I'd be without my furbabies, my DH and DD spend so little time with me, the cats live the attention.

Maddy u are so right, I do know the my Katie-cat now lived with 2 Dobermans, until she was one, I think that's why when we got our border collie she had no fear of him, so they get along just fine now, and at first she didn't bother much with me, now like I said she follows me to the bathroom and waits while I take a shower and just follows me around the house--and if I'm gone she lays exactly in my place that I sit and when I come home she stands up and talks to me. It's so soothing too, when we sleep she's purring ight around my neck. hahaha

Cami, my Callie was like that, she'd follow me into the bathroom too, she'd sleep at my feet. Right now, I'm training Snowball, the Flame Point to touch my hand when she wants a cat treat. She's so funny! She used to wait till I fell asleep and would crawl onto my chest and fall asleep. She doesn't do it often any more, I wonder at times if she's a cancer -detecting cat as she only slept on my right side (2nd mx). Since she doesn't do it much any more, I wonder.

The other cat we have, is a long-haired dark calico, very pretty, but very dumb. Nikki is really DD's cat but I completely take care of her. She now likes to cuddle up when I go to sleep and is even becoming a lap cat. I need to figure out how to post pictures.

Maddy I tried to post one of my cat, but I'm all screwed up, but really my cat found my cancer--I felt fine with no symptems and she just went right at it night after night till I felt something, I was big busted I thought she was a pervert--and she messages my upper arms for my LE which she never did before. It's strange to me.

Lee Welcome this has turned into a 24 hr thread lately--but some nites it's just a sleepless night and we wake up--of course I'll be sleeping most of the day, but I have no place to go so what's the difference.

  • LeeA
    LeeA Member Posts: 1,092

Thanks, Camille.  I agree -- what's the difference.  Maybe I'll go to sleep and sleep until about 9:00 a.m. or so and get back on track for tomorrow night.  Who knows.

Lee I'm retired so my days or nites really don't matter to me like they used to., BUT I do have to take a shower today, I love to announce that I take a shower, cuz I smell so good after with my pink sugar lotion, LOL

Okay Owlettes----officially AWAKE, another wonderful day in paradise.

Welcome LeeAwhoot who can't sleep so good, you can find someone here most times. I've already given you a nickname LeeAwhoot, that's a good one for here.

Smarrty, the itch......I had full body itchies worst on the legs. One of the nurses told me about using ice packs for 5-10 minutes. Worked like a charm. I had those big square packs that you put in the freezer. MAKE sure you put a protective cloth between your skin and pack. Don't let it wet the incision. That could lead to infection. Try 5 minutes first-----most of the time that's all I needed, then I'd move it to a different spot. Benadrly didn't work for me--odd, but it didn't. itching directly near an incision is part  of the healing process.

Some links for tips stuff, Put them in your favs cuz it will take awhile to get through them.
