hi ladies, took today off work and it was a great day to do so. Sunny and 51.
Got out the gardening gloves & pruning shears and did some spring clean-up.
Saw my first boxelder bug so spring is definitely here. ((fuzzy and family))

Hello everyone. I will probably be gone for a bit. My DFIL passed away this morning. He really was not doing well since my DMIL passed away in Dec. He went peacefully in his sleep, he was 90. I will be in Plainfield for the funeral, the burial will be in Wisconsin Rapids. Stay well everyone. Talk again soon. Much love.

Moonflwr-I'm so sorry! Prayers to you and your family and many (((hugs))).

Monica, I'm so sorry to hear about your DFIL. I hope you find comfort knowing they are reunited. Thinking of you.....
Badger, the Happy Keester was funny! Sunprint is open and it's getting warmer, once April 15th has come and gone, we should give the new Sunprint a try.
Fuzz, I hope you are OK.

Moonflower- congrats! Where else could you hear the term "unremarkable" and be happy?

((Monica)) sorry about your bad news and happy for the unremarkable results.
((Fuzzy)) still thinking about you.
Back from some mild weather and family Easter in San Francisco. Gosh, will WI ever make it to spring?

Monica, so sorry to hear about your DFIL. I've been sporadic on boards as my own father is in his dying process as well. I don't think it will be much longer.
I'm also trying to heal from icky radiation burns. Very happy to be done. Not so happy with how the skin got worse after tx was complete. Day by day with this stuff.
I have take some great walks over the past week with with dh and our dog at Kegonsa State Park. It has been amazingly beautiful and made me feel so grateful for just being alive. Being out in natural areas is so very nourishing for my soul.0 -
Destina, so sorry about your father. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
My rad. burns got worse after Tx, too. They also healed within about two weeks of the last skin break. You're almost there! You've certainly got enough on your plate.(((Hugs)))

((Destina)) sorry to hear about your father.
((Monica)) was thinking of you Monday. At least the weather cooperated.
((Fuzzy)) sending you some light and love.
Been working OT so not here much. But always with you in spirit! ((hugs))

Thank you all, Badger, Destina,Swgee,Guns,Zogo, . It was pouring all Day on Monday, but that is so typical WI spring! My DFIL WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED IT! LOL they dressed him in his flannel shirt and his favorite Red Suspenders. I can hear his Spouse, (who passed in December), Saying, "Bud, couldn't you at least put on a tie?" LOL All three of his sons wore red suspenders as well. So uniquely our family.
Destina, so sorry you have to go through that. Hugs.
Badger, they are working you too hard. to fuzzy, hang in there.
Much love to all.0 -
Monica, LOL at red suspenders. Bud sounds like a great guy. Sorry you got rain Monday, it was nicer weather here, esp afternoon. Amazing so different a hundred miles away.
Yes, been working extra hard these past few weeks as much to do before we close shop but I did nothing today. Well OK, laundry and grocery shopping and an afternoon walk but no work. Nice long nap and turned in early, too. That's why I'm up at 3 a.m. :-) Hopefully, will get back on track tomorrow to gear up for Monday and a brand new week. ((hugs)) to all

Anyone else have a wet basement? Hope all are well. ((hugs))

As long as the electricity holds - the sump pump is working.... ((knock on wood))

Our basement is usually dry. This is only the second time in 15 years we've had water come in. Last time was similar situation a few years ago. Luckily, there's a floor drain so the water had a way out and didn't accumulate. But you could see the path it took and drenched the concrete.
Got dehumidifier running and that's helping dry things out. Will let it run overnight and see how it looks in a.m. Anticipating a spike in next electric bill.
Had the pleasure of a very fast walk to Walgreens on the Capitol Square in a brief snow squall this morning. At least it stopped raining! Maybe nice tomorrow? Fingers crossed, I have major-league cabin fever.

Pretty nice Here, sunshine. But then the wind picked up. Then came the rain . Then the snow came. Then the snow went. Then the sun came. Then the wind died down.. yep typical day in WI! LOL

LOL Monica so true! Sun's just coming up and there's a riot of birds.
They riot at sunset too. (noise, uproar, or disturbance made by revelers)

Hey, all. Not living in Wisconsin now but from there. Try to come back once or twice a year to see family. Miss the beautiful fall, summer and springs. Don't miss the winters. :-)

FINALLY!!! Some spring weather is on the horizon. I certainly hope I have seen the LAST snowflake on the weather forecast. April has been a long, long month.
