Melp- that is great news. How does it feel to be home? Are you doing okay in your own space? It will be good to have the drain out soon.

Thanks for keeping us posted on how you are doing. You are on your way now!

Hi, Ladies well I am home today I had this day scheduled off for my MO appointment now the Mo canceled due to she will no longer treat me so I never cancel the day off and I am glad I need to study. Its been hard at work same old manager asking me to give him details about issues which has not been resolved. Issues that were others Ba and I ended up taking them. I have too many things in my plate. Yesterday right at 5pm he came to my desk asking me to send him an email regarding a particular issue which I mentioned in several meetings I need them to escalate to WSS support and off course he comes and asks right when I am out the door. I logged in from home and send him the email last night.

I apply to a job in Costa Rica lol unfortunately di get an email saying it is not for me due to the level and also that it is only for locals ,

I will send the resume today after I search the net. Hopping I come across something that I may fit in.

Melb the best is to get those drains out. Mine were on me only 7 days and it was so good to have that taken away. I am glad you seem happy.

I will go back to read and catch up have a great day all ;))

E- I learned awhile back that artificial sweeteners are really very deceptive, because they make people think they are zero calorie, but they have things in them that make you want to eat more. My favorite beverage is ice tea, just plain or with lemon. I try to avoid soft drinks, including diet ones. Soy is a no no with it's estrogen like behaviors. I rarely eat any kind of bread, carbs are not my friend. I find it very hard to loose weight on the AIs despite exercising a lot.

I have almost gotten through everything I need to on my auto insurance claim; just waiting for the police report on the hit and run last Sunday so we can re-classify the claim from collision to uninsured motorist. It will both lower the deductible I will pay and also not ding me with possible rate increases. I have never issued my car insurance policy with this company in 20 years. I have been lucky. Damage is minor, but will still cost a few grand to fix. Nothing is cheap with this car (or any car?)

I am going in for my six month mammo tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed there is nothing going on in there. I see the breast surgeon on Monday. Will let you know how I am doing when I get through this. I see the MO later in the month. I am always nervous the week of the follow ups.

Enerva- I know you missed your apt and had to reschedule with the MO to now, why didn't they tell you before today this MO was not going to see you anymore? Will you get someone new? Don't know how socialized medicine totally works......

BB- did they re-run your blood work and were the liver enzymes better?

Hope everyone else is doing okay here!

hi jazz, well I dont drink soft drinks but I did the orange Tropicana juice. Which ll stop now after learning its Just like soda

The. Mo changing really bothers me I was told in a letter I. Have a new dr. And that is it. New appointment on Augusts 10.

I am a bit disappointed at my recon still having issues . Try not to think about it, probably should make an appointment with the ps.

Anyway had a good day off ,walked by the lake did some exersice and now ready to sleep.

    Sending u all hugs.

Hope your car gets repair soon.

I have two weeks off in August and think I ll try to just relax and study .

I dont know if I mentioned my hair has been falling a lot. I am not sure. Today I change the color to dark almos black in order not to color for a year or at least 6 months cuz my own hair is very dark then it looks too different when it grows .so no more color till I figure out why am I losing so much. Must be iron low again :(

E- I gave up canned and bottled OJ awhile ago when I gave up processed sugar. It is really loaded with it. I will get fresh squeezed when that is available in restaurants. I find vegetable juices to be a very good alternative, and very into carrot juice right now. I also like low salt V8 vegetable juice. You get nutrients with your fluids. For just hydration, water, coffee, tea without sweeteners are best.

I hope you like your new MO. Hassle to keep changing. Mine is back PT after his heart attack, but was told he is only PT and seeing patients in treatment so I will see the CNP again. He may pop in. I really like him, but also glad to hear he is not doing a full schedule.

I think having some time off to study, ride your bike, etc. will be nice in August. Maybe take a little overnight trip somewhere too? Maybe you and Milky can go do something for a day. I think she is busy with school though.

I also was thinking tonight I loved the idea of you getting a job in Costa Rica. It is such a cool country and you would do well there. Maybe there will be another job to apply for. I know people here who go down there to get less expensive healthcare procedures. I have a couple friends who go to get their colonoscopies there so they pay a few hundred dollars vs. thousands out of pocket here with the deductibles. You can have a whole vacation there for that amount AND the procedure too. I have often thought I would like to move there to retire.

Hoping everyone has a good sleep.

BB- good to hear the labs are okay. Also good to know not to be drinking 3 days before the visit to the MO. I am going to see my MO on 7/27 and made note on the calendar to not drink that weekend before. I normally only have a couple drinks a week, but timing is everything on the lab stuff I think.

I am not sure how people move to other countries. Perhaps E can tell us? I always thought you had to have a reason to live somewhere, like you were going there to go to school or for a job. I have known several people who have moved to Europe, usually transferred through an org here in the states. I went to grad school with a guy who ended up here working for the national lab in town and then got a transfer to Vienna around 2000 with an affiliate, and said he will live there the rest of his life. A cousin moved to Europe and has lived there for 30 years, but know she keeps dual citizenship. I would love to live in Tuscany myself and looked into it once.

A lot of people from the US retire to Costa Rica. They have pretty good healthcare there and it is not expensive to live. But they have other issues there like tropical diseases. I had to get shots when I went in 2005 as we were way out in the jungle areas (so beautiful!)

I think my follow up may be different than yours BB, because I had the double partial mastectomy/lump on each side. I think you had the mastectomy on one side. For breasts without cancer, it is yearly. My sister had a mastectomy on one side and recon, and only has one yearly. Women who go the lumpectomy route will have them more often. It really depends on your treatment I think.

Will let you know how the mammo goes today. Always an "anxiety filled day" for me.

BB- sorry for the delay. Yes, all is fine with the mammo and ultrasound. It was a huge relief to hear I am doing okay. I see the BS on Monday, then MO later in the month (think I already told you that maybe?)

I met some other women in the imaging center yesterday who were "in the process". I walked into the waiting area to be called and one woman clearly had just been through chemo, the other woman was asking her about her treatment. I just sat down and waited to be invited into the conversation. The other woman was waiting to find out of she had cancer, see seemed young to me, maybe 30s. I told her I hoped it was not the case, but told her about BCO as a good place to come if she finds herself needing support. First time I have ever been there with people who are in the cancer zone.

Off to the free music today with the jazz festival. Wishing everyone a nice saturday.

Enerva- good job on the swimming lesson! It is very good exercise, I swim twice a week (more in the winter when I am not doing outside exercise) and it is a great way to work all the muscles in the body. And it feels great too! You go girl.

I was out early today for some groceries and errands. Going to have a quiet day at home today to do some cleaning, laundry, yard stuff, etc. I have a couple busy days coming up including a visit with the BS tomorrow as part of the 6 month follow up process, and also getting my permanent crown on the tooth that was cracking. And a memorial tomorrow too for a friend's daughter who unexpectedly passed. Not sure what happened, but her daughter was in her 20s and expect it will be a hard one to attend, but I can go so I will.

Jazzy - I'm sorry to hear about your friend's daughter. Last year, we went to a funeral for a young man in his early 20's who also passed on unexpectedly. Needless to say, it was a sad event, but amazingly, the family was holding up well. The presence of so many people gathered together to support the family and remember your friend's daughter may help greatly.

Melp - Glad to hear you're continuing to do well.

BB - Glad you're beginning to feel "normal" again. As for the port, I had a major problem with my port following the very first treatment. It was removed, and a picc line was put into place. The picc line worked for a while, but eventually that had to be removed, too, and the last few treatments were given directly into my veins. Didn't your oncologist order a picc line for you, at least?

Life- thanks for your shared experience. I think I remember you talking about that when it happened. Having the love and support of family helps you to get through just about anything.

I hope that your payments are rolling in now and you and your boys have what they need. I expect they will be going back to college and/or school next month or so?

Jazzy - The payments have been late because now they're processed through an agency that delays them. *rolleyes* It figures... Anyway, in a moment, I'm going to send you a PM clarifying something that I might not have mentioned before.

Life- sorry to hear about the delays. PM anything you would like.

My BS apt was delayed from later today to next week as the doc had an emergency. I am okay with that though, I think I will have enough hard this afternoon with the service. But with no apt end of the day, I can also go to the gathering if they have one afterwards. BS apt is more of a rubber stamp on the recent images, plus other check ins on things. So we will do that next Tues instead.

hi ladies have some news. Remember I told you about grand mom in France who had a stroke..? Well my siter and her husband send me 2000.dollars as a gift for my birthday which is in august. I thought about it and I tool the money and bought a ticket to Marseille .yes I am broke but I think I can go and be with my old folks for two weeks .grand PA is very bad with alzaimer and I learn a week ago that grand mom after the stroke can't even go to the store for groceries. She is taking care of her husband alone and herself so I spoke to her last week and when she told me that a neighbor buys her groceries cuz she can't go I felt so sad. I decided to go .I email my brother in law told him of my decision and he was pleased. He said his parent solve me so much they ll be so happy to see me. I will go on August 02 till Aug 16th .won't be a pleasure trip cuz I will be caring for both but it ll give me so much joy to give my love to them.

Enerva- wishing you safe travels to France next month.

I agree with BB, maybe your hair needs a rest? I do know my hair falls out a lot in the spring and fall and my hair dresser told me years ago people shed just like animals, especially in the spring and fall, but never noticed any visible thinning overall. Maybe when you go for your next cut, ask your stylist what she is seeing and what she might recommend? I think you do your own coloring (I do as well except when I get highlights) and sometimes they can advise on less harsh products?

Went to the services for my friends daughter yesterday, which were very hard, but well attended. Onward to getting my permanent crown work done today. Having a super fun week (sarcasm!)

Enerva- my dad used to use Head and Shoulders. I did not even realize that was around! I agree you should try a baby shampoo for awhile and see how your hair responds. Let us know if things improve? I think it is known to be pretty harsh.

Got my dental work/permanent crown done this afternoon. Now I am free of apts again until next week.

Tomorrow I am going to a concert to see Steely Dan and Elvis Costello. Steely Dan has been one of my favs since the 70s and have missed them every time they have been here in the past.

ha ha ha yes jazz it's still around they also make a conditioner lol I will now use it to clean my bathroom lol I am crazy how I did not realized I have been using that crappie shampoo for the time my hair problem started .I ll keep u posted lol overall my hair is not doing great I must be. Also the pool is not helping lol but I do want to keep practicing the swimming.

Jazz it's so nice you ll have a concert with your favorite band .

    bb how is your mom?

here is something my brother in law wrote to me today.lol

    That is perfect.

It is very nice from you to come and visit my parents.

Beware, on Sunday 2nd of August, you have to change airport from Roissy to Orly. There are Air France coaches that do that, just ask the stewardess where to take it (there is also a map at the end of Air France magazine). It is the best way to go from one airport to the other one. You will have to pay around 20 € for that. Fortunately, you will have enough time for this transfer.

Claim also a loyalty card from Air France by Internet. They will give you a provisory cardf number at least

You will earn points in both flights as Al Italia is also belonging to Sky Team.

Ha ha ha well it will be like old times when I lived there in Paris I used to go to Marseille often but by train. I must say I do not miss the Gare de lion lol

so I must try to get the loyalty card he is talking about now.

I am a bit exited and tired at the same time I am still tired but I figure life is too short I ll try to go and do as much as I can now. In the future I may not be up to the challenge of caring for seniors these are like my grand PA and grand mom I love them very much. They have no idea I am coming their way. As soon as I find WiFi there I ll post pictures here for you all

jazz I ll post all photos from the moment I arrive.I lived in Paris 2 years and every time I go I always cry when the plain takes off to leave lol

my niece lives in lion I am talking to her to arrange maybe I will stay in Paris when I arrive to spend a day or two with her then take the train to Marseille. Cuz she has plans to go to corsica with her boyfriend so she may no be able to go see me in Marseille. I ll let u guys know what I ll do as soon as I confirm with her. You ladies ll be with me every time I hit a WiFi location. Lol

I am on the train now on my way to work. I am training a new guy on the production releases since he ll have to manage in August.

I will try to go to the pool again tonight to practice some more swimming. The only problem is that I do it late after 8 or 9 and usually I am so tired at that time.

Hope you all have a great day.

    ll comeback later today.

milky how are things? Did your mom go back home? Hope things are OK

    love you all
