E - Yes, the way men think is funny sometimes. Maybe he was hoping you'd ask him to give you a massage himself. I hope that pain goes away soon.

life he is so not at all in zinc lol well he paid $200 once for a massager not sure if any of you have ever seen those that have some kind of round balls in side of a material then the balls rotate and give you a great massage? i always keep my eye open to see if i find one on sale lol that is what he wants to lend me but honestly if i drive there is 3 hours that could kill my back and neck then yes you got his idea , you know all he wants is an opportunity to get me to sleep over his place. Even his mom had try inviting me over ha ha ha nahhh i wont fall i am honestly too old now to play the high school girl and unless the man grows up and tell me to my face what he wants i will not become his casual friend again. The truth is that with the fact that he has no job right now he says he has no much to offer yet he has no problem offering the casual relationship lol

ok i got out of bed and i manage to get dress i need to get out at least to get a soup

i have nothing but salad at home and i feel sick of the same salad every dinner. i need a soup ;(

he also game the idea to look for the massage thing cuz now that xtmas is around the corner is when those sales come out lol

E - Yeah, that's probably what he was hoping you'd do - drive 3 hours and end up in bed with him. ha ha

I'm back to eating a lot of salad myself, especially because last week I weighed myself and found that I gained yet another 10 pounds. Now I'm counting calories again. We have to eat healthfully. Soups are good food to eat, too.

Speaking of food... Every year, I give out goodies for trick-or-treat. This year, I really don't want to participate. So, I've been hiding in my house. Kids have been banging on my front door today, and I haven't been answering. I'm really broke, you know? So, I'm headed out now to buy the cheapest junk that I can find, in case kids keep showing up. Then, just watch - as soon as I come home with snacks to hand out, no one else will show up, and I'll be stuck home alone with fattening candy over the weekend. Candy doesn't last long when I'm watching it. lol

Enerva, that's the right idea - get your own massager, with no strings (or dudes) attached. Girl ain't got time to play those games!

Life, I know what you mean, one year you don't buy enough candy, the next year you buy more and nobody shows up. The weather always makes it so hard to plan, it seems like it always rains on us here, and that means kids go to parties instead of going out trick or treating.

Well, when I left my house, the neighborhood was packed with people, up and down the street, hitting every house. There was no way I could've afforded to buy so much candy. So, I went out and just stayed out, away from the neighborhood, hiding out at local stores, for three whole hours - lol - until I was sure the trick-or-treating was over. Then I came back home. lol

E - I lose posts sometimes, too. I hate when that happens. I hope the pills are helping you with the pain. The soup looks tasty.

Cubbie - It's nice to meet ya'.

Hi ladies- happy November. My friend has come and gone with her visit here. She arrived on Wed night, spent the night here at my house, then we were up north the past three days. At the hot springs Thursday through yesterday morning. Lots of great soaking, some treatments, good food, nice fall walk, some yoga and more. Yesterday we spent the day in Santa Fe for Halloween which was way fun. We got home before the kids came, but did not do candy this year. I drove her across town to spend time with family here in town today and tonight and she heads back home tomorrow. Will share photos from up north with you soon!

Hoping everyone has had a survivable Halloween weekend. NM celebrates Dia Dos Muertos (Day of the Dead) here today in a big way with parade, and more. I plan to take a nap (whew!)

That is a beautiful place, Enerva. Is that a lake in the background?

Jazzy, the hot springs looks beautiful, too. It must be very rejuvenating.

My day hasn't been that interesting - mulching leaves with the riding mower, taking my old convertible out to make sure it stays running, paying bills, that sort of thing. Got a card from a former co-worker. I really appreciate people sending cards, otherwise the mail is all medical bills.

I have an '89 Chrysler LeBaron. Bright red, with a black top. I've had it since it was 5 years old, and I was, uh, a lot younger. It's at an age where you'd think it would be a classic car, except there isn't really any demand for LeBarons. It's still my baby, though. What is yours?

    hummm very interesting jazz. Lol

Curbie 2015 . I always wonder how is it you guys keep the cars. I once went away like a month and my mechanic freak out said if I don't use he car that is the cause of my problems ha ha ha

    Nice you guys have convertibles.

And yes that is lake Ontario. I usually walk along the lake well till winter get here.

Soon I won't be able to handle the wind there

I wondered if that was Lake Ontario. I'm not familiar with the Mississauga area, just a general idea of where it is. It's got to be getting cold up there!

Yeah, that's the problem with cars, they have to be driven to keep the battery charged, seals lubricated, etc. I take the convertible out every week or two, whether I feel like it or not. Right now, with all the stress in my life, it feels more like a chore than anything else, which is kind of sad. It's hard to enjoy anything right now.

I didn't know cars had to be driven to keep them running. Maybe I drive mine too much. I had to put an entire mortgage payment this summer into the piece of junk that I drive.

E - Yes, owls are beautiful. Once, years ago, there was a large owl perched on some bushes near my house. I saw it as I was coming home from work in the middle of the night. I slowed down and pulled up to get a good look at it. Then it flew away.

life I have never seen one other than at the zoo or in pictures.

Well last week it rained a lot here and one day my car s abs and some other light came on. I am waiting for when I switch the tires to know if there is some mayor drama coming. Light went off next day. I had bad luck with this car. But I can't afford to change it now.

    Night night

E, sorry the pain is still hanging around. Please call your Dr, or yes, a chiropractor!

Cubbie-My inheritance, that I don't think I am going to get, is a cherry red 67 dodge dart convertible. Nicely kept and maintained.

Good morning ladies- hope everyone has a decent start to the week.

Cubbie- I have an older jag, but it is in mint condition. It is my "midlife crisis car".

E- I think you live in a city with a lot of public transportation? I know my friends that live in big cities don't own cars either. I have had friends who live in NYC, also in Europe who never have owned a car. My cousins in France own a motorcycle just like you do!

Life- I have been reading your posts and see things are still tough for you as you have come through the marriage. I am sorry for whatever nasty things your ex has done as you have been working to finalize the divorce. Keep looking for the PT work, they should be looking to hire for seasonal help right now too.

BB- I hope you, your mom and your family are doing better.

Simplicity- I keep up with you on your FB support page and know you are grinding through the rest of the rads. You keep taking it one day at a time my dear girl.

I got a lot done yesterday to get caught up from having company here, being away, etc. I met with my client last Wed afternoon and we discussed the project some more, finalize the statement of work for the contract, and now I hope to get something to review by today. She wants me starting next week, but the ball is in their court to move it fast. My atty and I are ready to turn it around fast. The good news is, it will be good work for the best people there.

Wishing everyone a good day and a decent week.

I've always wanted to have kids but doing it on my own has never appealed to me. I was almost 38 when I found out I had cancer & had to freeze my eggs. There's no way around the fact that my clock is ticking & now way more so than most women at this age! Your eggs are less viable for every yr they r frozen. It's been over a year. Ive never dated a guy that says he definitely wants to have kids & I'm def not here to change a guy. How & when do u bring up the fact that your end goal marriage & kids? I'm wondering how hard it has been for other women in their 30's & 40's to find a man that is really willing to try to understand what they've been through & are still going through! (Emotionally & physically. I'm having reconstruction complications & need more surgery). My friend in NYC says people bring it up on the 1st date but around here most guy friends I ask say it would be a turnoff. Unfortunately, I can't afford to waste my time at this point in my life. I did ask a guy on the first date if he wanted kids. He said definitely & asked me the same. I said definitely. We wouldn't have gone on a 2nd date had he said no. Turns out he has a kid which he told me about on the 3rd date. This is the 1st guy I've liked in years. As we r dating we talk about kids, I tell him I froze my eggs for thousands of dollars, etc, etc. Three months in he tells me he doesn't want anymore kids. He "thought since I was older it must not be a priority & I'd just be happy with his." You don't just "kind of" want kids! It's a lifetime commitment. I did everything right to prevent this from happening. He literally was so worried about his own life/situation he couldn't hear anything I was saying. How can I prevent this from happening again? Has anybody reading this been in this situation? I feel alone in this time crunched unique situation. Am I? You are supposed to have kids at the very least before 40. I realize this isn't going to happen but hopefully in the next but few years
