Life, I am sure the expense weighs on your mind.

I just want to say..what if it was????? A woman who volunteers on my unit is an avid runner etc. Haven't seen her forever..didn't question it as my schedule is what it is. Anywho......apparently she had an injury that required surgery. When her pre-op EKG was done, it indicated a prior infarct. Further testing etc. and indeed the doc said she had suffered a heart attack at some point. They said since she was in such good shape, apparently the heart was able to compensate and heal.

Many times women experience the signs of a heart attack much differently than men, And isn't it just like women to look out for everyone else and ignore those little things when it involves us.

I didn't have chemo, but while on Tamoxifen, I was experiencing a lot of hair thinning. Every time I washed or brushed my hair...it seemed clumps would fall out. I did notice the top was so thin it almost looked like male pattern balding. Talk about trying to do a comb over. Since stopping the med my hair has improved.

LOL Walking Dead...the guys look the part but the women don't. Debs, I am only up through season 3 as I do not have cable...so now I wait,

I am through all of the Breaking Bad seasons too.

E-I know what you mean about the grocery thing. I look in the meat section and usually refuse to pay those kind of prices.

Tessa, hoping the days get brighter. I am very stubborn and tried to push myself through recovery faster than I was ready for. Finally figured it out and took the rest when I needed it.

AND As much as I would like to mesh with someone an ear to bend and a warm body would be nice too.

Although this last FWB turned out to be a complete PSYCHO! He just sent me a text last night simply asking if I wanted to Fu$k. I was well in to a nice 16hr shift and just sent a text saying I was working. I do not want to see him anymore and haven't since before X-mas. He sent a text back saying that was my last chance as he found something younger with lower mileage. and to take care. I just sent a text saying Have at it!

In which he replied he didn't need my approval and he was trying to be nice and needed some booty. And that would be why I didn't want to see him anymore....he seemed to think he was a gift and in all honesty he became a completely selfish lover which of course was no fun for me. Now who is TMI!!??!!

I left it at that, To be honest I do think He needs meds and therapy.

    YEESH!

I am going to get some wine.

Aww, Piper, I'm sorry to hear about what happened.  Some men are disrespectful and mean, especially when they're not given whatever they want whenever they want.  Also, far too many men see themselves as "gifts" to women.  Then they wonder why we turn them down.  Sorry he turned out to be such a creep.

    Life...you summed it up well!

I forgot the Liquor stores are closed today because it is MLK day. I did get some beer from the grocery store. (Yep, living in PA, and they are just now selling beer in select grocery stores). My son cooked burgers. I was upstairs watching Criminal minds on Ion tv and he sent me a text telling me my burger was ready! I do love my beer. But now I am paying for the dinner and brew with an extremely bloated belly.

Shoot, I didn't know getting older could be so much fun!!

For me, since I do not have cable, Netflix has been worth the meager $8 or so bucks. I think they have an upgrade as well. I caught up on so many series that I missed when they were big : Lost, SOA, How I met Your Mother, Breaking Bad and even Weeds.Their original series House of Cards, IMHO, is excellent.

Netflix has been my downfall in the last year because I never really watched much tv let alone binged on shows like I sometimes do now.

Ha ha ha well the only reason i have cable is because its including on my condo fee lol i spoke to the insurance lady again today she will set up papers so i report back to work in March now cuz she got the report i fax yesterday and by seen that i had a bilateral capsulesctomy and that i am dealing still with gdi insomnia and emotional issues, they will give me one more month lol so i am happy cuz i feel even though i am drowning in debt due to not making enough the thought of going back gave me anxiety so i will try to pass my exam and start applying for a other job as soon as i get back to the office. My manager was so mean to me and they made my days hell there so i wish i dint have to go back at all. They are so cruel that they never even sent a mgs about my mom s passing or even to see if i was doing well. I am never looking foe peoples petty but i never knew how evil they really are. Anyway i also like watching Game of Throne, that is my favorite one. ;)

My kids and I used to watch either documentaries or the news on cable TV.  Or, once in awhile, movies or fun shows.  The soon-to-be-ex was the one who watched sports and TV shows.  He's not here but still pays the bills here for now, so cable TV was cut down to "basic" cable, and we haven't even looked at it for months.

We do have Netflix, which we watch sometimes, but we don't find much that's good on Netflix instant queue.  So, these days, mostly we watch youtube... lol.

We're ready for the snowstorm... or, as the press is calling it, the "polar vortex."  Who knows if they're exaggerating or not, but we'll all find out soon enough.  I was supposed to check into a cardiologist - just to be safe - but the offices closed early today due to snow.

Enerva - I'm guessing you get a lot of snow where you live.  Would 9 - 12 inches be a lot of snow for where you live?

OMGosh, you girls LIKE the taste of beer too!?   So many ppl think I'm crazy for liking the taste.  Nothing like a beer & chilidog!  (Although now with my big un's chopped off my stomache looks huge.  So I've gotta skip those for awhile. Gotta get a smidgeon of my sexy back.  Or at least attempt to anyways.)

Speaking of 6 to 9 inches Deb, (lol) An exbf stopped by to help. Since I couldn't reach up with my arms without pain he pulled back my shower curtain and I bent at the waist and he washed my hair for me.  Then soaped up my back.  Being at the angle I was, I happened to notice that he had conveniently pitched a large tent.  :D  Nothing happened with it since we're just friends now, but it was nice to see I could still cause a little tent pitching.  That's not to say the next guy will though.

Just started watching The walking dead.  Just got past where Daryl sawed his own arm off. I've got HULU and a different exbf has NEXFLIX.  We shared each others' passwords so now we both have both.  : )

Ok, so I go online looking at side effects of FEMERA  and the website says DO NOT TAKE IF YOU HAVEN'T GONE THROUGH MENOPAUSE.    I'm 43, I've not gone through menopause.  I called the cancer center and got the rude nurse as usual.  I asked if she knew why I've been taking femera when I've not been through menopause and the website says not to.

She said "You won't. You won't take femera until we give you the ovarian shots."

I said " UM, yes, I'm on my second bottle.  Someone there called in the RX and the pharmacy called me to pick them up.  I just had someone pick up my second bottle yesterday!"

She says "Oh, well, Don't take anymore."   DUH.

OMG I'm putting my life in these peoples' hands and do they know what the hell they're doing???

E-what you did for your mom, your family and yourself is wonderful.

However, at the last sentence my heart dropped in my stomach :/

Geez Tessa. I would want to speak with the person who wrote the Script and possibly schedule an appointment,

When are you supposed to go back and see your MO?

You gave your mother many happy days, Enerva.  We're all here for you.

Tess - Good thing you came across that information.  I went into menopause with chemo at age 46, and I've been on Tamoxifen since then.  Why would they put you on Femera?  Maybe there was another reason...?

Ok sorry i had to pick up the phone. So Deb remember i told you i have a sister who is very much like you? Well she sent me a mgs and asked if she could call me and it turn out she has to get an urgent mamogram and core biopsy soon. She found a lump long ago and doctors did a needle biopsy and gave her a treatment to dissolved the lump cuz it was liquid and benign ,now she made an appointment to follow up cuz the lump got bigger and the doc saw her lymph  nodes have inflammation. I has very strong and i calm her down by saying until you get the results back lets not think negative. Ladies after we hang up i cry so much, no one in my family had this bc till me, now one of my sister is presenting similar symptoms. I am so worry cuz like i told you Venezuela is in bad shape our medical system is under stress we have great doctors but we have not supplies or gov support  its sucks. Anyway like i told her i wont be negative i need to wait and hope that it wont be bc, but by the way the lump is i feel its just like mine. 4 days ago she told me she stop smoking cold turkey and even though i was proud i knew there must have been a reason behind it. Well its cuz she is so scared. :(

I will keep you all posted

Enerva - I didn't know what you might tell us...  I'm sorry that your sister could be facing the possibility of BC.  Maybe what she has will turn out to be benign.   Sending you a {{BIG HUG}}.

Fine Debs. I have never been to Tenn or Bonnaroo. I grew up a camping soul. During college I did many hiking, canoeing, and white water rafting trips. Ah I have never lived in the lap of luxury.I have waded through and wiped crap for a living. I can even dig us our own potty hole if needed! I was looking at the Firefly festival and there are volunteer opportunities but you have to commit to the full festival. I do my schedule at least 2 months ahead so maybe, just maybe...I will look up the other festival.

I do love your simple post of 9-12!

E-I have no words. Gentle hugs and positive thoughts from me to you and your Sissy.

OK...Obviously I am off from work and hibernating as this cold weather is encouraging me to stay in, so it affords me a little time to keep up with you gals. And Who threw out Revenge darn it! I just found it on Netflix. My schedule being what it is, really hampers my ability to watch a show on a regular basis. But I do think this is one I may be able to get caught up on and watch on a regular local channel. Another binge.....

OK off to do a little cooking and laundry

and I got a nice Merlot and cab sav to keep me company this cold evening.

    xoxoxoxoxoxo
