BB - pls be careful and let us know the Mri result. Another surgery? Can it heal naturally??
E - ah I am sorry to hear about your job situation. It's been a long time. I also went thru job from hell 9 years ago and endured it for 5 years. But you have to believe that you'll get through this and it will only make you a better and stronger person.
Nothing much on my end, just been very busy with work.

Hope all have a great day!

Good evening friends- back home and getting settled in from the travels to NYC. We had a great six nights and five days, which included a stay at the historic Waldorf Astoria , a visit to the MOMA and Whitney Museums, the musicals Beautiful and Waitress, a night of latin jazz at the Blue Note in the Village, the St Patricks Day Parade on 5th Ave, stops to Saks Fifth Ave and Macy's, and so much great food everywhere we went. We also explored the Chelsea District which we never have spent time in (former industrial area now becoming a happening place). We loved the Chelsea Market and went there twice to both eat and shop and also did the High Line which is an elevated park where the old rail lines used to run. Final day spent in lower Manhatten at the 911 Memorial and Museum and we walked the Brooklyn Bridge. Spending five full days there vs. the on or two we have done in the past was perfect. We both had things that we had on the list that we had shared goals around like one of the musicals, the museums, Macy's, etc. Other things were important to one of us so we went along (jazz club and 911 Museum for me), Macys and the Brooklyn Bridge for my sister. She also really loved the oyster bar so we went back with there with my friend whom came in for one day.
My sister and I did okay together, although there can always be friction that arises during any shared visits or vacations. Usually happens close to the 5th day and why I have learned to keep the visits to that duration. My former SIL and her husband came in for a visit and that went okay, although he always makes a big deal about food so it is never easy dining with them. One of my BFFs from the east coast came another day and went to play with us in the Chelsea district where we ate, shopped and visited the Whitney. We were really on the go those two days with family and friends in town!
I have all kinds of great photos I need to get downloaded and organized but will share more as we go along here. For BB and June who I know either live or visit the city, our two fav restaurants we loved included a place near the Waldorf called Toscana 49 (fabulous little italian restaurant) and an oyster bar at the Chelsea Market called the Cull and Pike.
Today was my recovery day and I am preparing to go back to my client site and project tomorrow. I was monitoring work e-mail while I was gone as there were some things that came up right before I left and just delegated like crazy. Pleased to see my team took the ball and were running with it. Also learned while I was away that the long time running CEO of this org is leaving, and my project sponsor is now interim CEO. Never a dull moment at that place!
E- so good to hear you are getting responses to your resume and have some interviews starting. This is exciting and know this job has not been a good place since you went back. Time to move on and find something else, and hope the Air Canada job can work out. Free or at least reduced airfare with that job, no doubt and if you can leverage that with partnering airlines, could be worth it since you do go visit family in VZ, France and also now Mexico. Let us know how it goes?
BB- I am sorry the legal issues have not gone better for you. Not sure what to offer here, but willing to listen always.
Simplicity- glad to hear you are recovering and have some PT lined up. I think it will help. This danged surgery stuff is such a crap shoot. You keep moving forward girlfriend. One day at a time still, okay? I hope things with E are better or at least settled for the time being so you can focus on just getting well from all this stuff.
June- good to see you here and glad you are busy, but hope you are finding time to enjoy the beautiful fall up that way. I was suprised there was not more foliage change but had heard it had been very warm into the early fall.
Lily- hope you are doing okay and wondering about fall in your part of the world?
I have not seen Life here since early summer when she told us she was going back to finish her degree. Hope she is doing well and working towards creating a new life for herself and her boys. Melp has not been here in a few months from all I can see on this site. Melp, we hope you are okay.
Gotta get some things finished to be ready to get to bed early and up and going first thing tomorrow morning. Wishing you all a good week and pics to follow soon!

jazzy - wow you did so many things....i usually just do one of those in one weekend...hahah...i am glad you had fun.
i love meat packing district, it has a lot of energy and very chic. i like sipping wine and people watching there.
the whitney museum was designed by renzo piano who is my favourite architect. i really wish i will be able to work on one of his projects down the road.

June, two restaurants we loved you may want to know about 1) The Cull and Pistol at the Chelsea Market (great raw bar and seafood spot, try the oyster shooter below) and b) Toscana near 49th and Park (right around the corner from the Waldorf). BB, you go to the city to meet your boys and may like these places too?
We loved both, went back to both for a second go around!

jazzy - thanks...i'll def check them out....

Here is the coolest thing we saw at the Whitney (and perhaps one of the best things i have ever seen in a museum). Giant man candle that has been burning since early summer. You can see the head is melted away. The man candle is gigantic and will end burn down to the bottom. Just incredible! We all sat and stared at this one for a long time.
Second photo from the decks and another favorite. She looked so real.
I love the Whitney Museum, June. The viewing decks are fabulous.

Wow jazz thanks for sharing. OK ladies so I had the interview with the other bank and I think it went well but still haven't heard any update . Hoping they call me .
I also had the interview at the hospital and the Dr agreed with me he made me see a therapist just so she showed me how to massage the scars but he said thus scars are too hard and large so he told me to sit and wait that he will refer me to another doctor who he think maybe able to help apatently a therapist that has some téchnics on scars . So here I am waiting again. I worked again this Saturday and we'll just hoping I get that other job.
Other than that I have been feeling weird this week hard to explain thoughts of what if are back. Anyway hoping all are OK sending you big hugs
G night

Good morning friends- I typed up a nice note to you all and my wireless dropped while I was working on it and when I went to send, poof! So will make this one shorter as I am off to a day full of to dos. Weekends are too short!
E- congrats on having a good interview with the bank. Sometimes places need to go through the rest of their process before they can make an offer. I hope you hear soon. Keep submitting resumes and interviewing until you find the best job. Time to move on from this place. You are ready for something really good now!
Also sounds like you are getting some real help on the scar tissue. Are you feeling unwell otherwise? You mentioned being worried about progression?
I saw my new endocrinologist this week for a follow up on the Victoza to help both blood sugar and weight issues. It is working and we are upping the dosage a bit more and then redoing blood work before I see her again end of December. I really like her, as she gets me.
I spent yesterday at home the whole day to get more settled in from my return from vacation and a super busy week. Slept the best I have in a good month last night.
Thinking of BB, Simplicity, Melp, June, Hope, Life, Milky, and all the rest of the ladies who check in here. Blessings to you for a lovely Sunday!

Sisters, I heard from someone here that Melp has lost her battle with this awful disease. I am so saddened by this news and know you will be as well, but that you would want to know.

I know she had a blog page . I will try to find it
I wish I could send a hug to her relatives.
No enough words to describe how we feel

E- if you find the blog, I would like to read it. I have to believe this happened really suddenly, although I realize she had mets everywhere.

*tears* Hate hearing that. Prayers to her family and hopes that she went peacefully. If you find the blog, please post Enerva.

i just read her bio page...she was only 31 years old.....i am sad.

BB- I am glad to hear from you. It is just terrible news. Something must have changed very quickly for her, because she was doing okay.
I had forgotten about those awful friends. Well, chances are if they were not there for her, they will have to live with the way they treated her and make peace with themselves. This to me is where the rubber meets the road in life, there is not always another day or another opportunity to say you are sorry to someone.
Hugs to everyone here. BCO is a good place for us to have connection, but sometimes a sad place too.

BB- someone who was lurking here reached out to me in a PM and told me. I believe there was another sister who was regularly in touch with her in her country and that is where the news came from.

BB - how are you? I have been worrying about you as you were sooo down last time you posted.......
31 only, shockingly young......

BB- I think she was here with us for as long as she could be. I went to the Australian thread and pulled her back here to us at one point. Things can change so quickly with this stuff.
Wishing you better days BB.

OK I went back trying to find more but couldn't
If I find the blog I ll post it.
As I went back I saw post I missed at some point and I also saw 27heart posts her and melp where our young girls here. hope 27heart is OK? I also saw cubi 's post haven't seen her lately . Tessa and milky . anyway I feel so sad and I do understand her no been able to reach out. maybe she just had no way? last time she told us about her grand mom not been well I just hope her mom will be able to endure this lost.
Yes this is hard . bb I saw this video today and wonder . if it could be that easy?
Plus why aren't these doctors here in Canada ? oh no I forgot I need to win lotto max in order to get one of those good ones to try and fix things up.
OK so here is the update I finally will start physio therapy . this lady saw my body and she says she can help so we will see . have my first appointment next thursday Nov 03. oh wait that one is only to talk about what can I do to improve my issue . the one with the actual massage lady is next week no sure when .
I am so tired and I feel hopeless in the way I feel like I waist time going to this appointment's but at the same time I don't know if they ll help and if they do then that could be worth the wait?

E- I remember 27Heart. I did a search on her name and found her on a 20 year olds thread. She posted last in late August.
I hope the PT helps. I keep trying different things to feel better too. I am exhausted myself.
Looking forward to getting outside into the beautiful cottonwoods tomorrow. They are golden now and so beautiful. Will post pics from my time there.

Oh and I heard from this guy who was a mutual friend of some friends of mine I met back in 2012. I was at one of the music festivals in Austin and we were all hanging out together. We kept in touch for awhile, but then eventually he sent me this sort of "you are awesome but goodbye" note. I was diagnosed about six months after I met him and well, dating was not important to me anymore (still really isn't). I figured the note meant he had met someone else. That was probably sometime around 2013-2014.
So he messaged me this week to say hi, shared some small talk, etc. Our mutual friends have since split up and he brought it up and said I had heard the same (but was not going to get into the middle of that, it is a bad divorce).
He mentioned he was here for the international balloon fiesta last year. He had told me back when he met he had wanted to come out for that some time and sounds like he did. I always left it open to contact me if he was in town and would have met him for coffee or something if he had reached out to me, but he didn't. I expect he was still with someone when he came here. But my guess is that must have changed.
Men are kind of predictable.

Ladies- I talked to a sister here who was close to Melp. She had major progression around August and was in the hospital until her passing this month. This sister believes the cancer had gone to her brain at the end.
What I also heard was that there were a group of sisters in her home country who were connected with her in a private FB group (like Simplicity uses) and they would get together regularly. So it sounds to me like she had some good support from her sisters here, especially those who lived closer to her. BCO did help her.
