hi ladies,  wow piper I am sorry about your friend :( yes cancer suck but you don't lol it's justice way life goes sometimes times goes out of our hands and we wonder why we did or did not some things.

Jazz I wish I knew thatched awards were been given yesterday I did not watch :( that's when I miss bb the most ha ha ha bb could have remind all of us to watch it lol wonder how she is doing. I will call her as soon as I can after my surgery to tell her all about it. I am sure she is dying to hear what happen.

Well I am #10 in my home, and after dad past may siblings pull through along with mom, something kept us real close, maybe it was mom. So now we all try very hard. It's as if we want to help each other so much but sometimes it does sucks our own life. I now know that, I have realized that. It's no my nature to be selfish and even if I say I will be I never get to cuz my siblings are always in my mind lol over the years I learn to push bad people away from me but my siblings even the bad ones are always stuck in my heart lol I am sure my sister will be taken care of usually when one of us gives up the others take over ha ha ha it's like a big game with us. Today I will focus on getting things organized clean, last night I could not sleep so I did laundry lol I didn't take a pill to sleep but I manage to do so by 12:30 or so then got up at 3 am then went back to bed till 7 so no too bad.

LIFE hope you are ok and that you are sleeping better, I try to turn the phone off now at night so that's why you don't see my posts lol but it does not help with my sleeping 💤 people in the insomnia tread told me to do so.

Here is the new model top I will crochet the strings for the neck today ,this one is nice ;) I Will make a top today for the daughter of the ladies who will pick me up tmw morning she is 15th I haven't seen her in 8 years. ;) I figure she must be like my niece

Piper- I had to move out for this reno because my house is small and the other rooms (including where I have a spare bed) are stuffed! I am sitting in my home office which looks like a darned hoarder room and the other spare BR is worse! When the flooring installer said I would need to stay somewhere else, I immediately thought "hotel" as I am used to living alone. This hotel is nice and gives me a quiet space at night to rest. I just love room service too!

Don't beat yourself up for not being there more for people. I think we all have pretty full plates and not many to help us either. I have a first cousin who lost his wife to bc back around 2010 and did not know until one of his sibs reached out to me, and I asked how my cousins wife was doing? She said "didn't anyone tell you, she died last summer." I felt terrible but no one did tell me, despite keeping in touch with the family. Anyways, I immediately sent him a card to let him know I just found out, and then when he took a trip that following year and was out west, I had him stay here overnight, made him a good home cooked meal, and we went for a lovely snowy hike the morning before he left. Last year, he got remarried and they were doing a trip around the country and I met them for lunch and gave them a nice wedding gift. There are ways to let people know you care, even down the line. Perhaps you and your cousin can find ways to keep in touch now and see each other sometime? I am sorry for the loss, and agree cancer sucks but you don't!

Enerva- your tops are so pretty, I wish I was tiny and could fit into one of those! I think you get a lot of pleasure from making those.

I think there are always people in the family that show up more than others in times of need. I have been like that with my family so much of my life, but now really put my own needs first. Your other sisters will do what they can to help your sis with the bc. You need to take care of you. We single gals all do a lot for others, and we need to put ourselves first with all the bc stuff. It is good you have a lot of family. I have little left and the immediate family I do is always wanting from me. I hope you can get some good rest tonight and be sure to get some good pain pills for after (they help you to sleep too!)

I forgot about the Emmy's being on until I flipped on the tube last night. Billy Crystal did a nice tribute to Robin Williams.

I'm too late for Enerva to see this message, but I'm posting it, anyway:

Good luck tomorrow, E!!!!!  Smile  We'll all be thinking of you and looking forward to hearing from you whenever you're ready to post again.

Jazzy - The new floor looks nice!  :-)

Piper - My firstborn is headed off to college.  Lots of preparation, so that's what's happening.  I saw the oncologist today for my checkup, though, and I did get a smile from a nice-looking man my age who also was a patient.  That's about as far as things go for me ---- smiles from a distance (lol).

I'm excited for Enerva to finally have her surgery, and I hope BB makes it back here soon.

    Goodnight, all!

P.S.  (I drank hot cocoa tonight, and it made me very drowsy.  So, E, that might be the thing to try next...)

E - I'm just checking in now 5 hours after you posted that photo.  In the photo, you look content and ready for this surgery.  I don't know if you're finished with the surgery by now.  If so, I hope everything went smoothly.  :-)

Enerva- think of you today and sorry you could not sleep well. Happens to me too before surgery, travel, anything where I need to be somewhere important the next day. I hope you can rest after you are home.

Don't worry about keeping up with us here as you recover either. Pressure is off!

ok ladies it's 11:22 I am back in my room and in a lot of pain but still smiling so far so good breast look way better already.  No drains,  no fat grafting and I think we are good.  Still didn't see the doctor so I don't know what zise I got but they look good. Not huge,  but I see not rippling so far.  Hoping it will stay this way.

When I get home I will take pictures of my breast but so farther is my smile ;)

Enerva- just relax and you will be home soon. I agree it is never good to take a taxi when you had all the anesthesia in you. Be sure you get good pain meds to take with you, or a script your friend can pick up for you. I have had to wait sometimes too for someone to pick me up when they could break free of work, etc.

I hope you will be able to sleep well tonight. Take those pain meds, they serve as a good sleeping pill most of the time.

The fact that you're hungry is a good sign, E.  :-)  You're probably home by now.  I hope you're relaxing and resting well.

ladies, I am finally home alone and I am so glad. I am in pain but I will be ok. I have pain meds script and also leftover from past surgery so I did not get to fill it. I could not bother my friend cuz she came and picked me up. It's right in downtown so I can't really expect much. I am so greatful that she actually did the pick up. The problem is that she came upstairs to see if I was serious about having food prepared,  btw people don't believe I am ok. Which annoys me.  I mean she came upstairs then she sat and talk talk talk, REALLY? Like REALLY?  I wanted to tell her to go home and leave me alone and I couldn't. Finally she did and I am now in my bed. I took my pain killer and I feel so good in my bed lol I have a lot of blood around the dressing but my breast look so good compared to before I love it. LOVE IT.  On fact the non rad side looks a bit tighter but I am sure it will improve after cuz the rad side will tight by itself. I will Pm eachbof you my new results it's like I have my beautiful breast back I wish could kiss that doctor I can not begin to tell you how happy I am. I finally feel good about myself again. I am so emotional right now. I lovesick love it love it.  It's my breast back girls it was all worth it.  I now can go on with my life.

THANKS FOR BEEN HERE WITH ME.

Ok now I will Pm you so you can be happy with me. ;)

Enerva- glad you are home. Sometimes people do yak too much at you around surgery don't they? Your friend was good to help you today though.

It sounds like you like your new look. This will help you to move on, and am glad to hear it.

    Rest well my friend.

E - I just checked the PM and replied to you.  I'm so happy that everything turned out well for you.  Smile  The work looks very natural.

Your friend probably didn't feel right just dropping you off and leaving you alone.  She probably thought you wanted company for a while.  Anyway, now you can just rest and relax and be happy.  :-)

    Good morning friend!

BB- it is so good to have you back here. I missed you too and am glad you are back on line with us. I knew you had been texting with some and heard you were okay, just without technology. Welcome back!

And thank you for saying our posts are positive and encouraging. Life is hard and think helping each other here is the best thing we can do for each other as we all work to move forward.

Enerva- I hope you are feeling okay today, and slept well last night. I expect you may feel a bit more sore and tired today, as the anesthesia wears off. I vomited to after my double lump surgery, and maybe some soup and crackers will be easy to start. Scrambled eggs are a great protein source during recovery, cottage cheese and yogurt too (I buy this great yogurt from Bulgaria that has no sugar in it).

Be sure to get some protein in for healing. My doctors could not stress that enough to me after my various procedures. You are on the way up now, my dear!

Life- I think you made a good point about the Enerva's friend who dropped her off. She probably wanted to be sure she was okay before she left and just kept on other subjects.

And I hope you are enjoying getting things ready for your son to go to college. Where is he heading off to and what is he interested to study? Such an exciting time, and hope you and your boys are enjoying this.

Piper- how is it going? You must be back to your work and busy long shifts with the little ones.

How about some of the new folks here? How are you all doing?

The flooring project got finished yesterday and big furniture back in living room and bedroom. I was back to sleeping in my own bed last night which felt good. Now I am starting the arduous process of bringing everything back to put on the wall (left off from the original painting job earlier in the month) and also cleaning up all the dust from the flooring process.

Oh and my incision on my head is healing well, starting to itch a bit more which I know is a good sign of healing. Stitches come out next Tuesday. No more signs of facial swelling since that day last Friday.

That is the scoop my way. Wishing everyone a good day and will pop in later today to check in and see how everyone is doing!

good morning,  nop I did not sleep well at all but got my usual 4 hours or so.

Well I got my msg from wheeptmom she is very happy shebsays things look perfect lol she is such an expert that her words mean a lot to me. She also told.me she cleaned her incisions 3 times a day lol so I called the patient call line at my hospital and the nurse said do not touch the incisions till I see my doctor in a week or so. Ok so I said thanks and as soon as I hang up, I got all my dressings cleaning supplies from my box and clean everything ha ha ha I am sorry but I will not risk getting kiloide from this incisions and I know the best way to heal it's to keep it clean and sterile so now it's clean no more blood and it looks great, this ps is a genios lol I will send you pm with pictures, I am telling you I could be a nurse lol

So I am in my bed and I walk around every hour or so. I will be find I already cut the perkoset to half sooner pill instead of 2. And every 6 hours so I can see I am already improving in only 24 hours

Hope you are all great ;)

    So glad bb Is back
