Hi ladies- back from music. Great time today and our group included an electric violin. I have one but don't play it well, so it was nice to hear someone who does. This other guy who plays the keyboards was doing all kinds different stuff today from making it sound like a hammond b3 organ to the vibes. Some times the jam sessions are just awesome like that. Today we had a good groove going.

June- I was in Athens about 20 years ago. You are going to love Greece, really easy to travel there, people really enjoy life. Take in all the sights and do your shopping in the plaka where they sell everything. Be prepared to barter as they expect it and like it too!

Lili- I am sorry about your fall and hope you are doing better. France and Italy are great places to visit. Been to France once and did a week in Paris with my mom (and with support of the cousin that lives there). I took the train down to Monte Carlo to pick up a cruise there and saw the french country side, which is beautiful. As well as the Riviera. You will have many choices to do in France.

Italy 2X, first time with stops on the same cruise to Rome and Sicily. Second time for 2 weeks in Tuscany, one of my FAVORITE places anywhere and Florence is just beautiful beyond belief.

Viv- your trip around the country sounds great. I like your idea of doing smaller in things in the meantime with your family. Going to a museum is always a treat to me.

I don't have the desire to do any more international travel right now (perhaps I need more time and space from all that has happened). But if I were to go abroad again, the places I have always wanted to go to include Brazil, Morocco, Istanbul, Ireland, and Croatia. One of my friends. and I are actually talking about the Croatia trip in the next few years.

BB- what is on your bucket list? Have we seen that yet? And Milky too?

Enerva- I like how you outed all the newbees here. You rock!

Enerva- I would be interested to know that too. I never thought you could move and stay anywhere unless you were going to school there or had a job with a company there (or say your company moves you overseas)?

If I win the Powerball, I am retiring to Tuscany, Italy and buying an old villa so I really need to know how to do this!

LOl, BB, you can have your winters, The only time I like a snow storm is when I am off from work. As that is a rarity...You can consider once a year as my total. ;)

And yes after being harangued by that weirdo guy, even my neighbor was frightened while rescuing me........I am cranky. $40 for a long morning/early afternoon....

Although I am treating myself to a warm bath and a mug of beer.

Yes, after being catcalled by that other weirdo...I decided to take my butt indoors.

The temp fell about 14 degrees in less than 2 hours.....

I was dripping sweat prior to the temp fall....

    cranky, pm-sing piper

Listening to DMB, John Mayer, The Fray, Maroon 5, The Script, Coldplay, 5 doors down and whatever else comes across Pandora at this moment

    BB, u are beautiful girl.

As per going to another country all you need is to go as a tourist find a job and apply for work permit then a layer can arrange for residence application and so it's a bit of legal work but it's possible.

Well my Channing tatun I thinking has a new movie I must watch lol

Piper- ugh, I forgot about weird men who come to yard sales. Food for thought for my event next weekend. Hope the bath and beer are good.

Electric violin rocks! I love Jean Luc Ponty and he is teaming up with Jon Anderson from Yes to do a new album and concert up in Aspen next year. Me thinks I might have to go up for that!

I saw your post BB. At least I think I kept up. You do not need to get fixed for us to like you. I know the feeling of thinking if I just do this and that before I an ready to face the world...the people........in the end...I personally would be waiting forever ......so little by little I keep going forward hoping people will except me as I am and if not......move on

as hard as that is to do......

    luv u

Well I watch a movie called a dark truth and it was all about a big company which privatized water in Ecuador and git lots of innocent people killed and I have no idea if it's based on a true history. But I want to get it on dvd so my bro in law can watch lol he works for a big water company and they always try to make water private in Canada but Canadians are no interested so no contract with that particular company.

I am ready to shower and watch another movie cuz i am not sleepy at all lol

Thanks for the video bb, Jazz

BB- I think your heart is still broken by the man that left you. But I understand that too. Time will heal that and you will find another who won't leave you.

Beautiful day here today. Just came in from a lovely evening walk. Going to do a bit more work on the house and then go to bed. I am pushing to get this house stuff as done as possible so I can focus on the professional things this week.

    Good night friends!

I do not really like Bon Iver. But haven't listened to much of their stuff. Guess what little I heard I wasn't pressed to listen to more.

I did look at the Firefly festival this year. But too far away-too many days to get off work etc.

Guess that is why the local Blues Fest works for me. Not too far away and always good local and national acts. They do have The Mellon Jazz fest too. For some reason I have been missing out on it in recent years due to my work schedule.

Up way to early this morning. It is pleasantly cool and clear. Good day for the Season Opener!!!!

    1pm kick-off

    Go Stillers!

Thank you. I really love buddhas. I have them all over this house, in every room. Male versions, female versions, garden versions too.

I am watching Moulon Rouge while I work on the bedroom. Have ever seen this movie? With Nicole Kidmann and Ewan McGregor (hottie). I actually have the DVD somewhere, I love this movie and if you have never seen it, worth renting.

It is a actually a musical movie and pretty good too! Came out maybe 10 or so years ago. I ended up with the CD from it too, the music is really amazing and includes a lot of well known musicians today like Pink, Christina Aguilar, and more.

BB- many people are on a life long search for some sort of spiritual meaning in their lives. There are many aspects of Buddhism that I like including meditation, mindfulness, etc. I grew up in a christian church back east, but had experiences in my youth and young adulthood that just told me organized religion was not for me. I consider myself spiritual but not religious. I do a lot of yoga and Buddhism is woven all through the yoga practice.

Your ex may have been interested in this all along and perhaps you never knew or perhaps he discovered it afterwards. A lot of buddists shave their heads too. And perhaps learning this shows you how different you are these days and that is not the person you once knew. That has usually been my experience with men from the past, they have just moved in different directions from the time we were together.

Going to park this house stuff and go swim. I hope you can get out and enjoy a walk or something today BB!

BB - don't feel bad....ppl always look for something spiritual / meaningful in life. i wonder that myself sometimes...a lot lately. just the fact that get up and go to bed, repeatedly and you got to ask yourself why the heck i am doing this....

Buddhism is pretty deep (to me at least)...and it takes a lot to actually practice it. it's really a "let go" attitude towards life.....

    (((hugs)))

    BB- we are not real?

I think there are plenty of folks on this site that are plenty real, but am aware of another thread where someone got kicked off because the person was asking people to send money for funeral services for a woman who passed from BC. None of us even knew this woman from our thread. I suspected the person was a scam artist trying to prey on the compassion of women towards a sister with bc by trying people to send cash somewhere. I was never asked, but others gave me the heads up. I distanced myself from that thread for a bit and it all went away and is okay there now.

I don't really talk that much about this site. If I were to tell people, they would do the usual "but you are done with treatment now, why do you need that?" We just cannot make people understand this journey, anymore than I can understand other things people go through. Including thinking about dating post BC.

Went to the pool and am the better for it. Tomorrow I begin working with the personal trainer to get my butt in shape and loose some weight.

I must get to some end of the weekend things. I will be a bit of the radar this week with the conference and a bunch of other things going on. Will come up for air when I can, but do wish everyone a good week!
