    ROTFLMAO Jazz.....

For many years, several of my friends would wish me a happy "Fathers" Day..........

I had a good 2 nights at work. (SHHHHHHH)

My cousin sent me a text about the football game tomorrow....I forgot it was a night game 830pm start.

I work at 7am Monday.....was fretting about this all the way into work and through my shift. Then thought I will just have to suck it up and not get any sleep. I am not sleeping well these days anyhow. I have been waking up at 3am and unable to fall back to sleep. Usually when I have to be up at 5am and did not go to sleep until 10 or 11pm.

Yesterday, I worked all night and only slept 4 hours. could not fall back to sleep.

ANYHOW.........one of the clinicians phones me at 6am and asked me to switch Monday for Tuesday......YEAH!!!!!!!

Now I do not have to worry and I can relax at the game and sleep in the next day. So excited. It is one of the biggest rivalries of the year and will be so fun!!!!!

E.....Oh NOOOOOO. You make sure you get paid for every hour you worked......As if....that manager is a dumbass......I would be going to HR............just saying

Life....I am so glad you enjoyed the video....I howled.....The show did another yesterday and I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.

Look for it to come out soon. I will post if I find it first....that producer is a whimp but provides me so many belly laughs.

For as long as I can remember..lights out meant no candy, yet children knock anyhow. If I am off the holiday I go to Sissys and hang with my BIL and we take turns taking the kids around. I have never once been at my current home for Halloween. Guess they can knock all they want. I even turned out my driveway lamp last night before leaving for work.

Life I had a visual of you and the boys peering from behind curtains and laughing..oh so quietly.......... at each other......

Funny story...the first year my oldest niece went trick or treating, my son and I went over to share in the night......My Bil and son took the divine Miss M out and my sis and I stayed in to hand out candy (and DRINK...wine( hahahaha)

My son wore his Tom Brady shirt that year.....This is the year I believe they won the Super Bowl .....One of the neighbors refused to give my son candy..............Since we are in Steeler Country....

My son got such a kick out of making that lady sooo disgruntled.....I guess she digressed and let him have a piece of candy........I am sure my cute niece had something to do with that.

Alright ladies....I do have to catch some ZZZZZZZZs

    Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!

Good morning ladies- I fell asleep early last night after an afternoon massage, and no knocks on the door. I have had that happen too, despite the lights being off some years. I woke up to T-storms middle of the night and more coming later today, so I need to get out for some yard work this morning and a final walk down by the river to see the cottonwoods in full color. I am keeping today simple with things to do at home and some exercise.

Piper- I am so glad your work schedule changed for you to go enjoy the game!

So, it seems we've all gotten through Halloween.  Winking

My brother and his friends still go all out that night, dressing up in creepy costumes, creating a haunted maze in someone's backyard, and scaring a lot of kids.  lol  If I could've, I would've brought my boys there.

Piper - I'll look out for the next video.  lol

Jazz - I hope your day was peaceful and simple, just as you planned.

    Hello to all.  :-)

Hi folks- got a lot of this and that done today. Went out to vote early, order my Thanksgiving turkey, finished pruning the bushes out front and bringing in the remainder of the plants that need in before we get a freeze, laundry, etc. Still working on a few things tonight.

I opted out of the gym today as my trainer upped my game friday and my quads and upper legs are SO SORE! Feels like when we began two months ago. I am going to soak tonight in the tub and think tomorrow I should be able to do more again. We did new measurements and I have lost 5 inches around my waist and 25% body fat around my organs. Now we are going for the rest of the fat/excess weight. I am on a mission....

Hope everyone had a relaxing day.

hi. Ladies yesterday I went to a gun club, yes I know I know I went due to a prostate cancer event the gun club was hosting and I have to admit I had fun. I am not into guns the true is that they scare me but my nephew who I never see he plays those airsof games and I knew he could love to goto the event, so I invite him and surprise him. We spend the day shooting at targets lol it was a bit hard on my rad side whichbis the right shoulder but I never thought I had so much fun. One of those things you must do in order to give an opinion I guess lol

Going back to the history about work so my manager, he even was going to let me come in around 6 am on Monday so that I could take of around 8:30 till 10 for my follow up appointment. Now that I realized about the hours I told him straight to his face " oh since I am here half day Monday then I will come in at 12 to 5 " if ok?  And the rest of the week you can let me know what hours you do need me to come in for morning or afternoon. Then he called a girl who is the one that knows it all there and asked her to decide. She said oh ya come in afternoon next week. So there u go at least Tuesday wed, Thur,Fri,I will go at noon still screws up much day but at least I get to sleep till 7 am that will help the tiredness I feel lol

Snow has made it's appearance  throughout the US and Canada from the many pics I have seen on the news and from people I know across the country.

    Life....here's the video

Also including a nice article about "Mean Joe" Greene #75

His number will be celebrated and retired at the game I am attending tonight.

Hope the end of the weekend finds everyone well.'

Enerva- wow, snow. I guess it is time for that up north. We can get some here too in November, but it has been mild this fall so far. However the weather is changing today with a cold front and rain that has moved in.

Glad you had a nice day yesterday and that manager sounds really dysfunctional. I have had a few like that in my day.

I was out to the stores first thing this morning hoping to avoid the crowds, but it was mobbed everywhere I went and it seems like the holiday season is in full swing. Xmas music in the stores. Yeesh.

I love summer weather.  This past summer was so disappointing.  It was too cold.  Not looking forward to the winter, but snowy weather does have some appeal, though most of it fattening (lol):  I'm thinking pumpkin pie and hot cocoa by a roaring fire.  Still, I'm already looking forward to next spring and summer, even though winter hasn't even begun yet.

Jazzy - Congrats on the success in your workout!

Piper - Thanks for the video link.  Funny!  Hope you enjoyed the game.

Life- I have not lived in place with a cold summer for awhile, but remember having these cold rainy summers on the east coast and every weekend we planned something, like going to the beach, or outdoor parties, they were wrecked. It is too bad you did not enjoy your summer, but hope you will enjoy the winter.

I like all the seasons, each brings a gift as well as a compromise. I live in a place with some of the best weather anywhere in the country so I am spoiled. I like the fall and the cooling down that comes after the hot summer, but hate to loose the evening light. It was weird driving home in the dark tonight.

I hope you have great spring and summer next year.

BB- good to hear from you and glad you had some time with folks from out of state who you feel so close to. I hope it was a good visit.

Sometimes best to just go one day at a time when there is much to deal with. Wishing you better days.

BB - It's good to get together with family and friends.  I hope you enjoyed their company.  :-)

Jazzy - When I was young, my dream was to move out west.  Love the climate there!

I've had a headache all day.  I never used to get headaches, but this might be a sinus headache.

Also, today the ex called.  I didn't even recognize his voice.  I didn't know who was calling (lol).  He wants to continue with mediation, but it's gotten us nowhere.  With what he wants me to agree to, I'd be better off taking my chances in front of a judge.  He's threatening to file, so I told him to go ahead.

On top of all that, I'm worried there may be some fallout at my non-job because I butted heads with someone last week.  I immediately felt bad because this person is nice in a way.  I don't think she meant any harm.

Anyway, I hope the rest of you are doing better than I am.  Goodnight.  :-)

Its just over two weeks since I had my operation and im feeling
mostly ok. still have to take panadol during the day for pain and
panadene forte at night. The tightness of the expander is the hardest to
deal with still but that may get better with time hopefully.

    First
fill is later this month. Have had lots of support from family and
friends so thats been good. When i have the exchange and recon on the
left side that will be a much bigger operation but that wont be until
early next year. Mentally im adjusting slowly but ive been told it will
look more like a breast after i start the fills.

Hope everyone else is doing ok  :)

Life- interesting you did not recognize your ex's voice. Probably a good sign he is really not much in your mind these days, outside of the legal battles.

If mediation is not working, you do need a different plan. I agree you will have a better chance in front of a judge, having tried to resolve it outside of a courtroom. What exactly is he filing for?

I am not sure what your non-job is, but disagreements are common place in the world. I have one group I work with at this client site that constantly disagree with my involvement, recommendations, etc. It never bothers me until they make it personal and they do sometimes. I have to work extremely hard and stay in my own integrity vs. say what I really think sometimes. I hope you come through this okay.

Melp- thanks for letting us know how you are doing. My sister had recon with the expander and often commented on the discomfort and tightness with that. It sounds like you are coming along with your recovery though, managing your pain, and have wonderful support around you. Keep taking good care of yourself and let us know how you are doing or if you just want to talk here?

I took a day off for me yesterday, a little mini-retreat from the world. I have been so busy the past month with going back to work, prof development and my personal training program and just decided to slow down on my day off yesterday for some self care. It did this girl a world of good, now I am up and getting ready for a full day at work, followed by a biz dinner after work and then a trip to the gym before this day ends.

Hope everyone has a reasonable day.

hugs to all. Melp...wishing you continued healing.

Life....do what is best for you and the boys. I agree with Jazz.....if it isn't working.... need to move forward.......you have been patient and have been trying to be the bigger person/parent. Time to let the EX know you have business to take care of.....most importantly the children... I am here for you to vent...

BB glad you could enjoy and visit with out of town guests/family

Jazz, glad to know you had time for a day for YOU! We all need those....

How is the rest of the gang..

I do not have much going on. Same old. Although I did receive an E-Mail from the facility I want to visit (an out-of-state facility that is dedicated to a specific population of infants I work with) Only 1 of 2 in the US. I contacted the facility to let them know I was interested in touring their facility in the near future. One of the administrators said she would be more than happy to have me before Nov 19th. I will phone tomorrow to arrange a date. Road trip for me, while on vaca. I am pleased and excited as there are several co workers who are interested in how my visit goes. One is a developmental specialist and her dream is to have such a facility here in my hometown.

I had several dates with the gentleman from HS. Suddenly I got cold feet. I also realized I am continuing to have some issues with my mood and uncertain about many aspects of my life thus far. I thought it only fair to not get too involved at this time and gently let him know.

In that same vain, I was afraid of losing him as a friend. But, understand if this was not an avenue he wished to pursue.

Many days went by....no text/no nothing. I found I was sad, but relieved I didn't have to maintain something I could not.

I finally received a text yesterday and this morning. I want him in my life without a romantic tie at this time. So glad that he may have the patience to stay by my side as a friend for the time being.

More patience than I would have. I am rambling. Tired too from work. Did nothing today........ Hoping for a peaceful evening for all

Melp - The tightness you feel with the expander will ease up soon.  After my first MX, the expander felt so tight that I felt as if I couldn't breathe.  By 2-3 months after the surgery, everything had loosened up.  Strangely enough, after the second (prophylactic) MX, the expander placed on the other side didn't bother me at all.  My BS told me that removing lymph nodes is what leaves patients more uncomfortable sometimes.  So, I hope you feel much more comfortable soon.

Jazz - A mini-retreat sounds like a good idea.  We all should make sure to take care of ourselves once in a while.  Thanks for the advice.  P.S. (When I mentioned the ex would file, I meant for a divorce.  Neither of us has filed yet.)

Piper - I hope your HS friend turns out to be a very good friend.  I think you're smart to wait until you decide you're ready.

BB, June, Enerva, Milky, everyone - Hope all is well!

Life- is there a benefit to continue staying married at this point? I know it could make things financially harder on you or better too. Perhaps your sons are on his insurance, etc. I think I remember you said he was off spending a lot of money on a girlfriend. I wish you the best with whatever happens next.

Thanks, Jazzy.  I want the marriage to be over officially, too.  We just cannot reach an agreement.

Hope you're having another good day today.  :-)

BTW, there was no fallout from the situation at my "non-job" after all.  I felt terrible about my little outburst, so I decided to go in and apologize to my "coworker."  That was all I could do.  She was very nice about it.

    Enough about my non-problems.

    How's everyone else doing?

Life- I think you will get what you need through the judge. It will be good to get past this divorce and maybe have something better for yourself and your boys. That is my hope for you.

And good to hear your work issue settled out. I have this wall hanging in my bathroom about karma that says if you do something you don't feel right about, apologize immediately. I agree with it as it will allow things to diffuse quickly vs. simmer and create more issues down the line. You did well girlfriend! Happy

I am off to play some music this morning. Hope everyone else has a good day!
