Josie - bless your heart so sorry you have way too many things to deal with. It is a positive sign your daughter reached out to you. That was sweet of you to hug that little boy.

Hope your DH feels better. DH and I are finally feeling better.

Thank you Cindy. His appointment with his neurologist is Thursday. I'm going with him. He is handling it well. Me not somuch but I save my crying for church. I sit in the back row at Mass and have a one on one with God. I feel at such peace.

Diane and Cindy, thanks so much.

Diane We have all had you and your DH on our minds lately and prayers that it's good news.

Claire was released from the hospital today. I was a nervous wreck by tonight. I also found out the baby is getting sick too. My father in law was holding her Tuesday night and he was diagnosed by Thursday with influenza. My daughter knew her dad wasn't feeling well Saturday night but we still had Maisie for a couple hours. I tried to get DH to wear a mask but he didn't. Well Maisie isn't feeling too well eye was a little matted this am and she went from a runny nose this morning to very stuffy this afternoon. So literally I just got home Claire Maisie and my oldest Sarah . She needed a ride home from doctors office and of course we had to stop on way home for food. I'm so done for the night especially with the little sleep I got last night

Charger. Today's the day we find out for sure. We have already seen his test results from his chart online. The test shows he has the Parkinson's syndrome. Is it a foolproof test? No but it could be an early indicator. I'm going with him today both for moral support and because I'm going to ask questions. He isn't exhibiting other symptoms indicative of PD but they could come in time.

I am desperately trying to keep my game face on and reaching out to God to help us deal with this. We have had serious challenges before, like everyone else, so I expect divine intervention to help us through this one as well.

Thanks for asking. For the time being we are keeping mum about this to our families. I know they would care I just can't handle having to answer questions.

Please keep us in your prayers.

    Sorry about the D&C. Ugh.

Thank you April and Charger. The neurologist says the test revealed what we already knew and that is he has the Parkinson's syndrome. There is no test that can say for sure he has PD but it did rule out essential tremors. He is not exhibiting any other PD systems. She has prescribed a drug to help control the tremors. Side effect is irritability. I told her he was already irritable. Didn't crack a smile. Okay zero sense of humor. If he experiences more than irritability he will stop the drug. She told me to watch him closely. I have and I will. She had him walk. Your gait is another sign of PD. He walks fine.

She wants him to see a specialist in a month. This guy is the one his doctor recommended from the getgo but he couldn't get in to see him. He is in the same practice as this lady.

I don't expect him to offer any revelations about DH's condition but he is an expert in the field. The bottom line is what happens down the road will confirm/or not his DX.

Thanks again. Your prayers and concern mean more than you will ever know.

    Diane

Diane at least u have a plan in place for down the road. That is a good thing. So sorry. Huggers

My appointment went well. As I have no symptoms, nothing is going to be done. She even offered to do a biopsy if I wanted, right then & there. I'm to call her anytime with any concerns or questions.

Charger - thanks. We are prepared just in case. My DH said last night he came away from the appointment unsure if what he has is PD or not. I am confident the specialist he sees in a month will address our concerns better.

So you are in a kind of holding pattern?

    Have a nice weekend everyone.

Had ultrasound & xrays today for kidney re-check. Won't get results til Feb 16th. also made apt with ob/gyn for biopsy on Feb 28th. Now that I know about it I can mentally & emotionally prepare for it. I went into flight mode when she mentioned it as it took me by surprise. Hugs to all.

    Thanks Cindy.

Thanks guys. Dr gave DH a med to help deal with the tremors but isn't doing squat. We got samples so he is going to give it a few more days to work. He said he feels more anxious so he isn't going to continue taking something that doesn't help and makes matters worse.

Monday we got a bill from Baptist for almost $6k! The doctor who ordered the test sent him to the only place in town that does the test. It's relatively new and just approved by the FDA. Needless to say I went berserk because we were at 100% in network. The place where he had it done is not in network. I have been on the phone non stop with Baptist and Blue Cross. I don't intend to lose this fight for obvious reasons esp given we told them we were at 100% and had to be in network. BC said they will send us a form that we complete including the doctors referrals, etc. We purposely scheduled the test b4 the end of the year. Why would we do that if it was out of network? Makes zero sense. A friend of a friend works in insurance st a doctors office and she said keep after the doctors office and keep fighting them. Make no mistake I will. Stay tuned.

DH's insurance at work only went up $30. Relieved thought it would be a lot more.

Babysat the twins and 3 year old girl yesterday so DS's GFF could run some errands. Friend helped me. She has adopted those kids and they love her.

    What is pickleball league Cindy?

Excited for Atlanta Falcons making the SBSister lives an hour outside Atlanta. City is going crazy!

Diane, keep fighting that bill! As for the 30.00 increase, expect that to be a whole lot more after the repeal of the ACA. It will affect ALL insurance and because so many will no longer be insured, it is going to drive premiums way up, even those purchased through employers....sigh!

With that said, glad that he is so early they can help him with medication! Hugs to you both.

Fran - glad you are moving forward on your terms. We will be in your pocket (((squeeze))) 2/16&2/28. Sending peaceful calm thoughts 🙏🏻

Diane - grr fight! I'm surprised that they would take you without approval and $$$. Push. Know this is controversial, but friends hubby smokes pot and helps with PD.

Pickleball League is tournament play...beginner level pickleball games 6 weeks drop in play draw new partners each week. Fun...some players are very good. I'm novice so high learning curve. Did skills drills in 81 degree heat yesterday for 2 hours yesterday. Pickleball is like ping pong tennis

    April - like the avatar

Got to walk the dog then off to dance...

Cindy - we are braced for it to go up more but for now we can handle it. Company pays the brunt of his insurance since he is an associate. I expect if it goes up a lot that will be the end of the profit sharing $ every year and the Christmas bonus.

So far his only symptoms are the tremors. Not good of course but at least the only symptom thus far.

We are surprised they did as well. They claim they confirmed coverage with BC. Still makes no sense we would push to have it done before the end of the year if we were going to have to pay for it.

    Sounds like a fun game!

So good news for me: the BCI test came in at 3.5 which means I only have a 3.5% chance of having a mets occurrence in the next 5 years and since it's under 5% there's no reason to continue on with the AI. So I'm officially off the drug. I just need 1 or maybe 2 more reclast infusions (yearly) to help my osteoporosis and I'm good to go. I will see the cancer survivalist doctor and have my mammoyearly and that's it..... I'm ready to celebrate. Now if I could just get my lungs to shape up I'd be in even better shape. Hope everyone had a good weekend,

    Hugs to all

I just passed my 4 year anniversary of being cancer free 2 days ago.

We have had a rough couple of weeks with my youngest DD. She had to be readmitted 1 week ago yesterday but was released just yesterday and is much improved. I am exhausted and drained. I've just been running to work and to the hospital ect..

Josie - congratulations on 4 yr anniversary! 😊

Does your DD doctor have a plan or program that will help address her needs? With kids it is so hard...try and rest...get a good nights sleep.

    Sweet Dreams

    Thanks Cindy.

Yes she is supposed to be going to an intensive outpatient program. It's like 3 hours of group therapy. But she wants to go back to school tomorrow instead. I guess we can start the program next week she has missed like a month of school and actually wanted to quit and go online at one point so I'm just happy she's asking to go
