Hi Lump. We were wondering if you were going to come back. Yes there's a facebook page. I'll look you up on FB. Glad you got the mammo though. I've actually had 2 and finally am getting around to getting a TE put in next week. Just got busy with life/work. I'll talk to you on FB! Maureen

Hey all. Glad to see you here. I am still kicking. I've been on Kadcyla for 2 years now. Last scan showed a 1.4 centimeter lesion on my rib, indicating that the cancer has learned its way around this treatment. My oncologist recommended 5 quick zaps to the spot on the rib to get rid of it, with the hope that we can get more time on this treatment. Only 5 zaps and the fatigue and nausea kicked in. Very grateful it was only 5. Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I just keep on going to see how long I cannot live the statistics. Susan

Hi Susan
Glad to hear from you! Wow 5 zaps and you feel that way. Hopefully it zapped the bugger out of your rib. You are not a statistic!! Effing cancer

Hey Grit. Joe this wiped out the cancer spot and that's why your fatigued. Much love

Hey, all: Sorry I've been gone for a long time. I got married two weeks ago, and wanted to post. I acutally have blog and detailed a bit of the wedding there. Dating and Marriage with Advanced Cancer: Hope in the Midst of Sadness www.curetoday.com/…/hope-in-the-midst-of-cancer-sadn…
And here's an image from the big day. Pretty scary for me since never been married before and scared about what is next with my health, but blocking that fear for now. Just praying the targeted therapies keep working. How is everyone else?Susan

Hi Ladies
I haven't been on here in ages. For those of you not on our FB page I'll update you. Long story short I was DX Stage 4 with mets to liver and lung along with a 7cm tumor on my heart, mainly the main vein that carries the blood from the heart. So 6 doses of rads and 12 chemo treatments ending about a month and a half ago, I had a total response to treatment with only a minute tumor still on my supra vena cave which they'll keep an eye on with scans every 3 months. So great news all things considered. Now my RO wants to do 10 rad treatments on my brain to prevent brain mets. Anyone here have rads to their head?

Gritgirl. Congratulations on the wedding.!! You look beautiful and your hubby is very handsome!! Hears to many years of wedded bliss!! Cheers Maureen

oh, Maureen. How horrible. I am so sorry to hear this. I'm glad you had a complete response. That is very good news. I've never heard of whole brain radiation done as a preventative measure. Did they find something on a scan? I know people who have had stereotactic brain radiation which is more targeted, and had great results. My her2 positive cancer covered my liver and I am knocking on wood to be five years out. If you want, send me a private message and I can call you if you'd like. I would also recommend an organization called imerman angels. They connect you with somebody else who has a simular diagnosis, and you can get support that way too. You might also want to check out this thread which talks about just living life in spite of the cancer. Lots of love and hugs. Susan

i've been gone so long that i had to look up my log in info!!!!
i am caring for michael still-he now has Parkinson's Disease which started roaring during my 2012 tx-he has dementia of undetermined source but i think it's vascular-he has COPD with 50 % lung capacity as well as his heart issues--he has dysphagia from aspiration pneumonia twice...and grumpy ol man syndrome has gotten worse--we moved in 2014 and again in 2015 and i am exhausted
the reason i even logged in today was concern about sleeping on my left side-after my lumpectomy i was told not to (left side surgery with 9 nodes removed) but i'm reading now that it is much healthier for the body and i agree that i sleep better that way--anyone know anything?
btw--i have not seen my oncologist since 2013 when we thought we were moving to Hawaii---AND my dad died of colon cancer on Halloween 2015......no i have yet to get checked---
i am very active-too active -on fb but i don't remember hooking up with any of you there-----
Margo Malcheski is my acct name--
anyhow--still love y'all !!!!!

Checking in!!! I hope everyone is well.
I'm getting a needle biopsy on a mass in my abdomen Tuesday morning. An ultrasound only said that it's not a cyst. I'm terrified. I sure hope I find out for sure what is going on quickly after the biopsy.

Good to see you Christina. I'm so sorry you are going through that. Praying the mass is something harmless. Let us know what you find out when you do find out. Hope you go to a place that can do a quick turnaround on the biopsy. That is scary. Ultrasounds can find masses, but they can't tell us much us. How big is this thing? And if it near the ovaries? Just being nosy.

Hello ladies
Good to see you here. I still come back from time to time.
Hope you get a good result from your biopsy Christina. Could it be sarcoidosis? Over the years I have found lumps and bumps but all turned out to be benign.
Hoping for the same for you.
Alice
