OK this is hard for me to write as I feel on the outside a lot living elsewhere...........so a lot is different for me - but while I do understand that you feel under threat by ISIS, for us in Europe it is a reality.......it has happened more than once and refugees are being homed within one hour of me and we are all sure there are terrrorists amongst them as ISIS work like that......I don´t want to come across like its harder for me as am not saying that but it IS different as it IS a lot closer to home.......

Apart from that stuff I am feeling **** sorry I am bored with it too but its there...........I am a total failure at everything

Teka- I agree about the thread slowing down. Some may be hermitting for the Thanksgiving holiday. Others may not be well enough to do anything this year.

We are here if you need us!

Yes, Teka you are right. Lilly and perhaps other friends here from the EU have many worries right now. We are here Lilly.

THanks everyone - I don´t understand THanksgiving really as its followed by shopping frenzy for "must haves", seems wrong way round to me...Happy

Sue- you definately scored on some goodies yesterday. I hope you enjoy the leftovers, some of the best part of this particular holiday!

Lilly- I agree about the whole Thanksgiving marketing scene here in the US. Many here were shopping yesterday (some stores now open ON Thanksgiving and it is called Grey Thursday), followed today by Black Friday, and few days from now we will have Cyber Monday. I can tell you many people don't get into the whole thing. My Xmas shopping was done early as it always is, I don't run around to stores this time of the year myself. Too many crazy people. The stores that are closed this year are called OptOutside and encouraging people to spend time outdoors! REI and Staples are two to name a few, and they normally have my business anyways, like them that much more now......

I went to the movies today and was pleased to see they had a Starbucks there for a drink choice. I would rather have a good cup of coffee than soda or something else carbonated.

Busy week with new contract arriving to get in place for new work. Xmas cards also getting done a few at a time.

Xmas wreath went up this Sunday. I like it without a bow on it. The greens are beautiful!

Speaking of coffee, I went to one of my fav spots today called the Boiler Monkey and had this "freddo expresso" drink with cold expresso and milk, touch of cinnamon on top! YUMMY!

    Or later

  • Hi all! Lurking and wanted to say hello. I am more hermity than ever. Crowds give me anxiety. Just sent my family an email about how I'm doing in response to my sister saying " What's wrong with you? You should have tons of energy now treatment is over". People just don't get it. Included the statement from my doctors website regarding long term side effects of chemotherapy, of which some can take years to go away or last a lifetime. Maybe that will give her a clue! Was feeling down as Christmas is always hard now that I lost my mom. It was her favorite holiday. Baking brings me joy and I'm taking some goodies to my neighbors. Trying to capture the Christmas Spirit and leave some troubles behind but it isn't easy. I agree with Jazzy, we are all brave and amazing women.

Lily, I hope things get better. Our world is a mess. Just this weekend my friend told me she h a d to run for her life at the mall in Madison Wisconsin as there was shooting, although it was gang related not terrorists. The threat is real but we can't let it overtake our lives. Wishing for peace this Christmas. Happy Holidays!

I am gaining weight fast at moment so much so that my clothes are all tight.....I remember reading that this indicates a recurrence or spread of cáncer, like ovarian cáncer, as it is really fast and not eating enough to warrant such gains

I thought I would let you all know that I have been taking sublingual Vit B12 for last couple of weeks and feel less down, still low and struggling to find a reason for life but I feel the difference, this is at levels 20,000 times the amount stated by government that we need

    Lily55,

I don't often post, I am such a Hermit, but read here all the time, and was so pleased to see that the Vit.B12 is making a difference for you. So glad to see that.
