mcook- I can so relate to what you're going through! Maybe we should meet somewhere in between Mn and WI and have a joint pity party! Last Fri. and Sat. all I wanted to do was sleep. Finally, yesterday and today I felt like I didn't need to nap. And this fucking rain!!!!!!!!

I can't wait until Saturday when the sun will finally come out! Of course we all know once it gets warm it'll go straight to 80 degrees and I'll bitch about that, too! LOL! I was supposed to get in three 5-minutes walks with my dog this week (which I kinda laughed at how simple that was!) I did one on Sunday. I guess I should be happy about that. The family of my best friend growing up is having a surprise 50th birthday party for her next weekend, but I'm not going to drive 8 hours to Ohio only to be worn out from driving, then have to turn around on Sunday to come back.

I really think my mind just can't wrap itself around going from a relatively normal life 5 months ago to this mess, now. I was so positive until rads ended and now so bummed.

Chrisrenee- (((hugs))) and prayers still coming your way. Thanks for updating us!

Tazzy-I love your comeback for websister!

Websister-I say go for the color! My mom survived BC, lived to be 76, and colored her red hair until she died. I never ever thought of her as an old woman, she just always looked better than her age!

Juneaubugg, I'm still waiting for the day when I can truly accept myself as I am.....

Scottiee, thanks for sharing your friend's story. I hope it doesn't take a recurrence for me to enjoy life again!

Ramols, hang in there! No matter what, we'll all be here for you!

Sheryl- I had a 50 min. drive to 31 rads. Just think how nice it'll be to have that time back!! The rads were bearable. You'll probably have normal SE's which are very manageable! I'm so glad to hear you are seeing a therapist! (Mine said- I don't know why they don't hook people up with help at diagnosis when they could use it the most!)

MrsCich-keeping my fingers crossed for you (and praying of course!)

Believe-good luck on your anniversary. Mammo! Once I get walking I'll have to try your ankle weight idea!

I better hit the sack-(((hugs and prayers to all))) thank you all for listening, advising and most of all for the humanity and humor you retain throughout this journey and everything else life has dealt us at this time.:) Sheila

Scottie; thanks for sharing that, and I age, but as you know... When you're in it, its very hard to see PAST it to the solution (which for me is usually a change in my own perspective).

Chrisrenee; thanks for the update. Yes my friends are jealous too, I try to explain how I can't feel ANYTHING anymore; they say they wouldn't care, but they don't REALLY understand what that MEANS. You know?

Tazzy; hope I get to where your at soon. I'm still shocked and frustrated that I don't look like my 39 year old self!

    Goodnight ladies!

OK crap... lost the post for the 2nd time.... 3rd time lucky as they say.   But I can never remember all I wrote... so here's the shortened version (phew I hear you say!!)

Juneau: you will get there - remember that amazing women are your friends because you are an amazing woman.... no one can take your inner beauty.

chrisrenee:  What to say except thoughts and positive vibes to your nephew/neice and family.

sweegwi:  You are beautiful - in fact you remind me of a friend I used to have in South Africa.

OK ladies, off to bed for me.   Yay Friday tomorrow.

Goodnight, sweetest of dreams and chat tomorrow. xxx

I haven't completely caught up but wanted to write before I forget lol

Juneau, so glad that surgeries will coincide!!! Yay!!!!! You sound so much better and up beat. That's great to see

Chrisrenee, hold strong!!! A little story to let you know how resilient kids are. My neighbours boy who was about 6 at the time, almost died during a freak accident where he was crushed in a garbage compactor! He went in legs first on a conveyor belt, only he was trying to get off and one leg went in, the other was up around his head. By the time the machine was shut off he was in up to his arm pits. It's awful and graphically gross but most of his internal organs were bulging out his neck!!!!!! He was conscious thru out it. 6 broken ribs, a dislocated hip, broken pelvis, bruised lungs, lacerated galblatter and spleen, and massive blood loss. Everyone including EMS believed he would die, out at very best be in a wheel chair. Well, he was home in two weeks, he was walking on his own at release. He plays rep hockey. He graduates grade 8 this year and you would never know physically, emotionally or mentally that anything so horrific ever happened!!!

Children are remarkable!!! My prayers are still with everyone!!

Swgeewi; the time when treatment ends was the hardest emotionally for many of us. All that going and going and DOING to stay alive...and then it just stops. Take a deep breath; it will get better.

Shianne; HOLY SHIT! Insane story.... But for the grace of god... Holy SHIT!!!

Tazzy; what's wrong with you woman?! TWICE you deleted?! If you click off the page you can hit you back button and your post SHOULD still be in the box. At least on my phone it always is.

Tazzy: was it wings and beer thursday, in order for you to lose your post twice? haha

shiane- It's a miracle that boy is alive. So glad he is a fighter as well.

sweegi- i agree with Juneau on every word. I ran so much during the last 9 mos to dr appts, that now I'm on a 4 mos appt now. I'm so used to taking my shirt off for my PS, that I had to learn how to keep the damn thing on now. Lol! it takes some time getting used to the slow down world, rather than our fast paced life before. So here's me being cliche' "take the time and smell the roses".

Believe- I'm having a hard time deciding which bracelet to wear to Relay for Life next saturday. Got to make sure all my sisters are with me!

Here is the link to the news story a local news station did on my nephew. The grandmother in this video is my stepmom.

    Chrisrenee, thanks for update.

Shianne, what an amazing story! He is a lucky boy indeed.

Marian, was sorry to read about your incision opening problem. Do you think it's due to the rads? I'm apprehensive too, and hope things will hold together after the DIEP on the radiated side.

Swgee, wishing you well, and hope the sun will soon be shining for you in more ways than one.

OMG!!! Juneau, chrisrenee and Tazzy you guys crack me up!!! I was sitting here alone cackling away. Lol thank you ladies for my daily giggle!!!

The boy in my story is actually outside playing road hockey with my DS right now, and baby sitting him on Sunday so DH and I can go to a Masters Party (golf). He is a remarkable kid!!!

When you guys finished rads and it cleared up and starts actually looking like skin again but peeling, in the name of all that is holy how did you peel it from UNDER your breast!!! Mine are not big but there is skin on skin underneath. My vision is horrible up close. It's my right foob so I'm doing everything with my left hand but I only have feeling in my left thumb and pinky due to PN. I can feel the dry skin that needs to come off but I can neither see it or grab it!!! Lmfao!!! Should I ask my DH to peel it for me? Who btw has looked, seen and agreed its actually becoming a great "breast" but still has never touched it during 'frisky' moments.

Also want to thank everyone for the strength and honesty getting thru the after rads yuck.

Anyone going thru now or starting rads soon (Shari) it is, all in all, not horrible. I still would choose, if I had to, chemo. But we are all different. I did both and now, thru clearer eyes, its doable even at its worst. I doubt I would have made it with my sanity in tact if it weren't for my new found sisters. I love each and every one of you!!!! Thank you.

I would absolutely be in for a road trip to wherever the finish line is. Please let me know place and date!!!

Tazzy behavioral issues (deleting us, etc) aside Wink I'd go for the beer and wings before they go retracting what they just said on the news about alcohol and breast cancer patients. It was music to my ears! This week we can go back to drinking moderately if we drank moderately before our diagnosis. (lol not sure how much sense that makes but ok) http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/04/11/us-drinking-breast-cancer-idUSBRE93A0OJ20130411 and  http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-204_162-57579167/moderate-drinking-may-increase-breast-cancer-survival-rates/   I'm waiting for the same news on chocolate cake, cheese cake etc but not holding up much hope for it. (someone cover Scotties eyes so she doesn't see this)

2fried!!! CHEERS!!!! Lol. I never did buy into that alcohol cancer thing anyway.

I'm a drinker, sometimes I drink too much, sometimes i have only one or two. Most of the time i don't drink at all. That being said, I like beer. And wine. And rum. And I like my donut vodkas. Oh and my cake vodka. And I love dancing on tables!!!! I think that news should get a table dance!!

2FriedEggs, I was just going to post the same thing - Scottiee, you have an impossible task - hahahaaa!

Shianne, just leave the peeling alone. Keep DH away too - he may get distracted, and lose concentration on the task at hand - LOL! By the way, you sound wonderful.

Liefie....what does this mean now.....along with the weigh in.....a count as to how much booze everyone has had in the week 😱...my job is getting harder and harder...may have to ask Marian to step up to the plate a little more, but she's not really much of a task master.....too sweet...lol

    PS....Liefie....too funny.

Scottiee, I don't have advice for you re keeping this lot under control - they've just been given a free ticket to drink more, for crying out loud. One can only hope that they will be honest at the weigh-ins - LOL.

Scottie you won't have to hide that wine anymore! we can all say we are drinking for longevity!

Shianne yum those drinks of yours sound good! this fellow is dedicated to you:Get up on that table .

Liefie like minds! Since we have license to drink again, I think I'll dump the water bottle I keep on the treadmill and replace it with a nice frosty beer. Then I will exercise and drink for longevity!

Scottie  we always look to you to set the example so if alcohol is now good for us,you should lead the pack with a toast! (We all knew you were drinking that wine anyway because we have pictures) Sounds like some bad movie "Beer swiggers unleashed"
