Chrisrenee, my heart goes out to all of you. That is just beyond horrible! Sending big hugs and prayers your way.

Embok, good for you on accomplishing all that hard work, and sorry for the other one . You win some, you lose some, right? Unfortunately one can never please everybody. Cats are masters of relaxation, so you have an ecxellent coach in Sensei!

    Have a good day, everybody!

Yep, still no place like home! My phone was my only Internet access for a week but I did my best to keep up. I cried and laughed with all of you, mostly cried. Its been a tough week. We have major talent in our group, you ladies are great at verbalizing. Ramols, Juneau, Tazzy, Liefie, JoAnne, Shianne & of course Scottie to name a few. Future dreams can now include flushing cancer tumors down the toilet, projectile vomiting, soldiering through life, calling our Doctors with contrary answers to our questions, Bitches, to name a few topics. You are most interesting book I've ever read. So glad it isn't going to end.

I have mega laundry to do but wanted you to know I'm praying overtime - I'm sure God and I have a direct line and are on a first name basis.

Chrisrenne - my heart aches for your niece, nephew and family! I know you will keep us posted. Kisses, hugs and good thoughts to Taylor!

Shari - I hope you are mending and relieved that the Cancer is in that Petrie dish or possibly flushed down the drain! In time you will be 'bitching' like the rest of us. None of this is fair but together we can get through it! We are the Before, During and After Gang.

I'm available for all upcoming pocket trips. Great that we are never alone - we are all blessed! I'm honored to be part of this family.

Thank you all for your prayers today. I went and saw my nephew tonight. It's amazing how many tubes they can get in one kiddo. He was so sedated that he woke up only briefly to adjust himself. He goes into surgery again to debride the area and take a closer look at everything on him. Amputation is still up in the air and unfortunately that's a decision only his mom can make. Stayed at the hospital for almost 2 hours took them dinner and kissed on my Alex.

Believe- I had one extra Angel left from when yoy sent me my original bracelet. Was keeping it for a special person. So as I was leaving, I pulled his mom to the side and told her I believed in angels. And that I had a ton on angels praying for him and his recovery. She started crying and told me thank you and to tell all of you thank you for praying for their family.

Embok- rest those tired feet and have a glass of wine.

Tazzy and Juneau- hello gorgeous! Tazzy, hair?!?! I thought you were going to keep it covered up for forever! Juneau- that color blue is to die for on you wear it more often.

Momof3 great- good luck on the colonoscopy. My dr will have to chase me down with a dart gun and tranquilizer. That will not be happening, getting a pap is bad enough year after year. My last male Gyn I had him dying one year. I told him that it was a good thing I knew what he looked like because from where I was at I get tired of looking at the top of his head. I think I felt the speculum go in further. Lol

Well I better get to bed 5am is early. Love you all!

Hi all.. Had three appointments today and getting ready to sleep..today was mentally and physically draining..first appointment since surgery with bs and onco I discuss pathology .. Also.got my tissue expanders expanded so I am wicked uncomfortable..
I asked about metformin as well and onco was willin to put me on it but she also said studies were not complete or definitive yet... she wanted to wait a little bc I am still healing and just got put on Effexor for anxiety, will soon have rads them start tamoxifen.. Plus I am getting Lupron and there is a little concern as to too much meds.. Will start baby aspirin daily since I read on this site.. It helps reduce recurrence... So that's another one.. She said I could always go on metformin later.. Maybe I being it up when I start tamoxifen I don't know...

    Believe; missed you.

I only have a minute. Going in late to work because I see my PS this morning. Maybe I can talk HER into a tummy tuck (but I doubt it).

Took kick boxing last night. HOLY SHIT!!! I couldn't keep up with the sprints and jump frogging (what?!) but I did make it until the end of the class!

Gotta run... Have a great day ladies

Aruba - funny you should mention the melanoma connection. Yesterday my sister came to join me on my walk (trying to make it a habit) and she was ragging on me about using sunscreen because of that correlation. Her friend is triple neg and her sister was diagnosed with melanoma. Their MO told them about the connection. Thank the gods that there is SPF tinted face cream!

Chrisrenee - I am still praying for your whole family! Please keep us updated.

Juneau - I am impressed with the kick boxing.

I have been busy at work, but have decided that unless it is raining out I am going to get outside during lunch and take at least a 15 minute walk. I always seem. Better when I do.

Take care everyone and hugs to all.

Chrisrenee... My most heartfelt prayers are with your family. I hope your nephew and niece will be ok.

Shari, so glad to hear you have an action plan now. Effexor is what I'm on too. It also helps with the hot flashes!!!

Juneau, that colour looks amazing on you!! Your words about the "angle of the pic" reminded me of a GOLDEN GIRLS episode years back where Blanche and Dorothy were talking about top or bottom during sex. Dorothy said at their age never, ever on top. When you lie on your back you look younger because everything falls back. Unfortunately some parts also fall back and to the side, under your arm!!! Lol

I'm day 7 post rads. Holy living mother!!! Looks like a nuclear waste explosion and feels like it too!!! Polysporin and saline soaks are my constant companions. I know your not supposed to mix dilaudid with alcohol but I'm having a glass of wine with mine lol

I wish I could have a bubble bath too, but I doubt that would be a good idea with open owies. :-(

Loving everyone's new avatars!! We are a very good looking sisterhood!!

Luanne, I did have baths but didn't put anything in the water ... Plain Epson salts ... And laid there .. Was wonderful.

Also used corn starch in a stocking as a powder puff under my breast ... It was very soothing too.

Lots of cream!!! Lol. My RO said everyone is different but everyone also says moisturize!!! Rest is important too. I found the techs more knowledgable than the drs. My team was such a sweet young group. Lol all young and skinny and beautiful. I brought them cookies and donuts all the time to fatten them up ;-)

Shianne - hang in there. I was there myself just 3 weeks ago. I thought it would take forever to heal (if it healed). Just today I was looking at it and realizing how quickly and well it has healed already, just a little pink now. I did up the amount of protein I was eating and I think the rads itself forces you to rest more afterwards due to fatigue.

Hair is bothering me the last couple of days. Not sure what to do with it, not long enough to cut or really have a style and it is pretty salt and pepper. At first I thought I could handle that but lately I've been getting some comments like 'when are you going to get rid of the grey' and 'oh, you're keeping it like that?' I'm hoping the dark hairs will grow up more through the initial white/grey ones but it sure takes time, doesn't it?

Have a good evening 'my family'

Aruba, I meant to post this last week, but I have had the same problems as you with 'peau d'orange' skin. Saw my surgeon yesterday and he said the same thing your doc did...edema from the rads.

I have been having a hard time finding a bra that fits comfortably, without seams that leave ridges in the one area that seems to swell first.  He recommended the "AHH BRA"...much like a sports bra.

Chrisrenee-how are things with your nephew?

Hugs and sweet dreams to everyone.

Outdamnedspot and Aruba - I have the same swelling and the pores plus I'm still showing the redness. Our new normal. I'm 9 months out. Do you see any change in size of the effected breast? I hated to bring it up but since you started it..,

I've bought every bra on the market and still see indentations when I take them off. I wear the softee bras most of the time and revert to my undersides when I want to look good.

Shari - don't let us concern you. We are all beautiful, shianne said so.

Websister - I die my hair. Not a fan of grey.

Chrisrenee - praying for good news on your family and my beautiful honorary niece.

My X called me a few days ago. He was just diagnosed with lung cancer. He hasn't smoked in years. Boy are men wimps! He calling everyone, even before he knew for sure. I told him I'd pray for him to which he added he's agnostic. I told him I'd pray anyway - one of us is right! I told him to find a group like this, of course he ignored my suggestion. He doesn't know about my BC. You'd think he was the only person on earth ever effected. Sorry to vent but he insisted on calling our disabled son and really upset him. X is in Florida and my sons in CA. Now he's so upset. Of course I wish him well but what a drama queen!

Believe...Life expectancy of lung cancer is only about 13 months. I know my mother-in-law was DX on 3/29/12, and passed away on 3/13/13. It was horrible. So sad for your X.

Hi Believe.....sorry to hear about your x......yes, men can be such drama queens and

babies, and we women are definitely the stronger species. You must be very upset that he called your son but I know Believe you will help him through it. ❤

LorAll- I didn't know that. My response is always only God knows when it's our turn. I'm upset that he waited until I left town to say anything to our son. X starts treatment on 4/15, chemo and radiation. Torn about sending my son but not even sure if that's a good idea. For the time being I'm going to find comfort in believing only the good die young. Of course I don't want him or anyone to suffer. So sorry about your Mother-In-Law. God must have needed another Angel in Heaven.

Believe, so sorry to hear about your X, and yes, the 'strong' sex often has a hard time to handle this. They don't want to appear weak, they cannot control or fix this, and it is just devastasting to them. We had a fit, healthy friend, 72 years old, who smoked for 10 years as a young man. He was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, and passed away within three months. Hope your son will be okay - it must be very hard for him.

Thanks websister. :-) that's encouraging!!! I feel like that now, that its never going to heal lol. I guess lack of sleep doesn't help either. And I'm missing my son, too. He won't be home from school for another 3 weeks.
