Happy, Happy Birthday Cher.  I hope everything gets MUCH better for you soon and good luck with the move.  I wish we lived closer to each other so I could assist you.  The news about your landlords is TRAGIC!  OMG, how could something so crazy really happen?  I am encouraged by what you say about the supplements you are taking.  May I ask the name of them and the varieties please?  I am in North Texas so I hope and pray I can find the same supplements that you are taking as I have many of the same health issues that you mention.  Well, HAPPY DAY again my Dear and Peace, Prayers, Hugs, Love and Blessings to you and everyone on this site today and everyday into the future!

Happy hump day ladies! I am a bevy of emotions today. Seeing RO for follow up 6 months post rads today and then I am callings surgeon to make appt for port REMOVAL!!!!! It's so surreal compared to a year ago. And we are moving on!

Shari I may not be celebrating in Hawaii but we will be celebrating in Bermuda come September. Never been to an island so can't wait. Oh yes Shari that scale will move. Mine is. Just slowly. I am hoping port removal will knock off a pound! Take it where we can get it right!

I met an amazing woman while picking my DS up at school yesterday. She had ovarian cancer and just got the "cancer free" after treatment and surgery. She was a nurse but quit and bought a hot dog cart! She was amazing. Just like you all here - funny, upbeat, personable, etc. immediately loved her like I do all of you!

Well off to the beach today after appt then my BFF having jewelry party so I'm buying myself some bling

I love you all and big hugs to those who need it. It does get better. In pockets for anyone going to appointments or treatment or if you just need someone by your side today!

    Karen

Just caught up reading..... life is busy, busy, busy - but that's good right.

Your age tells you how many years you have been on this earth, it doesn't tell you how old you are Wink

I have a fridge magnet which says "NICE TRY CANCER, BUT I'M STILL HERE".

Hugs, peace, love to all xxxx  Gotta get ready for work !!

Oh! and thought I'd share that this is the best I have felt since dx - Jan 12, 2012. So it does get better !

My surgery was May 1st, 2012. I can honestly say I feel great too. There is hope, ladies.

I'm up for all pocket parties! Making Italian Meatballs and Chocolate Chip cookies today, at least the cookies won't be messy.

Websister - how exciting to be waiting for the imminent arrival of your grand daughter! I hope you can share pictures with us.

We are visiting an island in November - Hawaii. We are taking my grandson (8) and his dad and girlfriend. A real family affair.

We are a busy group. Proof there is life after BC.

I am so excited for you websister!!!!!! Yes, we are waiting for pictures.

I have been busy getting everything ready for my surgery in 2 1/2 weeks. There is so much to get ready, but hopefully keeping so busy will distract me.

Hope everyone's surgery goes well. No 4th of July BBQ for me. I will probably still be nauseaus from the surgery on July 1st. Gonna take out the Mentors 600 and get Natrelle 45 in 700cc and fix the capsular contracture. 2wk vacation of laying in the recliner and taking pain meds. Anyone suggesting a box of fudge should be kept nearby?

Just wanted to share a feel good story.

I was talking to a lady yesterday who 20 years ago last week was dx with stage IIIB breast cancer, she had 7/7 pos nodes. Her MO told her to get her affairs in order, that she had maybe 6 months, a year if she had chemo. Her decision was quality over quantity and opted out of treatment beyond mx with tram flap recon. Obviously she is still here, she is cancer free to this day and the picture of health. She doesn't look her 67 yrs, she golfs 3 times a week ( walking!) she has the most positive attitude, and is just a wonderful person.

I know we all love hearing the inspirational stories, so I had to tell :-D

Swgee, I'm still playing around with time of day to take tamoxifen. In the morning makes me to tired all day, at night I get such horrific night sweats I don't sleep, dinner time is not much better so I'm trying out lunch time lol. Gawd, I hate this shit!! I know it's preventing a reoccurrence but after chemo, surgery, rad. all the pain and everything we went thru we have to take a pill for five years that makes us miserable??!! Really, what sadistic bastard came up with this for us and Viagra for men????

Shianne, you are sooo funny - Tamo for us and Viagra for men - lololololol! That is so not fair!

Tazzy, way to go! There is life after bc - woot woot!!! I feel exactly the same, and was dx'ed 3 weeks before you just before Christmas 2011 - the timing really sucked. I'm becoming very antsy behaving quietly after the DIEP surgery. But it is 6 weeks out on Thursday, and nothing will keep me away from the gym next week.

Websister, a baby story for you. A friend who is pregnant told me yesterday how her 5-year old DS asked her if the baby will be born with clothes on. Trying hard not to laugh, she explained that all babies are born stark naked. He then very seriously informed her that he is not going to be 'available' for the birth - in those words. Kids just have the funniest perspective - lol.

Those who finished rads - YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

Ireland, all the best to you for tomorrow!

Shianne, thanks for sharing that survivor story. We cannot hear enough of those, and it always gives me a lift to read it.

2FriedEggs, so glad your dad is doing well. Aging parents are always a concern.

Believe, are you making the fudge, or must I do it? It is Ireland's pocket party in a few hours, remember?
