Happy Easter  and Passover!  We will soon be able to enjoy all the goodies we gave up. Sounds good to me!

We are still in Laughlin but going home next week. We made major strides in getting our place in order. My DH is an overachiever. Hate to leave but the reality of up coming doctors appts are calling. Yuk!

Lostinmo - so glad your treatment is giving you good results!  Best news ever. Are you still in the Tucson area?

Liefie - enjoy your grand baby!  I'm missing mine and will have a non traditional egg hunt as soon as we can. At nine, money is his favorite thing to find in eggs!

Momof3 - yes, vacation homes are a little bit of heaven on earth.

Here's my hair update. Trying to get every strand to one length after my pixie. I had the back evened out. My mess is now a bob. It either looks like Marilyn Monroe or Harpo Max.

    Hugs to all!

Happy Easter all!  Haven't posted in a while but try to keep up with all the posts.

So Happy to hear people are getting positive treatment news, you are always in my thoughts.

Jealous of all those traveling this spring, so looking forward to work slowing down and the weather getting better so we can start camping.

Oh and welcome to the newbies in our group! We have the best group on BCO in my opinion :)

Hugs and positive thoughts going out to all who need them.

    Have a terrific day everyone!

    Lostinmo,

Glad to hear that your abdomen is feeling better and that your tumors are shrinking. I'm missing the Tucson weather. It was 85 in Michigan today after 3 inches of snow last Tuesday. Only in the 40's tomorrow. If you don't like Michigan weather just wait an hour as they say :-) Hope all continues to improve for you. Take care.

Hi ladies-nice to dart in and see so many familiar names. Juneaubug, I think I am having thumb arthritis too. Right is worse, left I am noticing a bit too. Do we just tolerate it? On Aromasin I got locking thumb and had a cortisone shot about about a month of pain and snapping. Shot worked, didn't come back! But this is in the base of the joint. Oh well. I am a mere lass of 58 so perhaps it's not unusual.

Thank-you for all my birthday well wishes!  Yes, it was great.  Who would have thought getting older could be so much fun!  I'm enjoying every single day.

We arrived home a few days ago to rain - yuk.  We were going to do an Easter Egg hunt this Sunday, even though it is late but our yard is just too wet.  Maybe next week ... we seem to be very non traditional.  It all works for me!

I'm in for any and all up coming pocket parties and send lots of big but gentle hugs to you all!

Hi Believe- happy b-day of course. That same rain, after a long dry spell here by the central coast, rained out our school Walk-a-Thon. Hope Monday is dry since we are trying to do it then. Thank goodness for my wonderful parent club, they are so flexible!

I hope everyone is doing well and busy enjoying life!!!!!

I went to my ortho dr today about my shoulder and unfortunately I will need surgery to correct the problem next Tuesday. I tried everything to avoid surgery and PT has made it better, but there is still pain 3 months after starting PT and therefore surgery is my only hope of recovery. There is also some frozen shoulder and this will only get worse the longer I wait. At least surgery is only a week away and therefore not too much time to worry!!!!!!!

I also go to my MO appt tomorrow morning and would love anyone in my pockets that can make it.

    Hugs to everyone!!!!!!

Momof3 - I'm in for your pocket party!  Wishing you a speedy recovery too.

Back on my treadmill. Yuk. My knee has been aching since I walked a mere 30 minutes. I'm definitely over disco at this point. Thank goodness for Bruno Mars and Maroon 5, among other new artists.

The rain in CA has finally moved on. It's going to be 90 tomorrow. I hope Canada is warming up too.

Thanks for being in my pockets. My MO appointment went really well. She said that I looked great and was very pleased. I don't even have to go back for 4 months. I still have to wait until next week on the blood tests, but she does not seem worried about them.

I hope everyone is doing great!!!!!  Hugs to everyone!!!!!!

Like... what kind of surgery for shoulder?

I thought frozen  shoulder often went away after 2 years by itself!

You have all been on my mind, especially today. Tomorrow is two years from my surgery and just about the same time I found all of you wonderful women!  My how time flies!  I think my surgeon suggested this wonderful site and I was so lucky to have connected with

    all of you!

I found this sign in the store on Monday. Just like 2 Fried taught me... I didn't buy it but had to take a picture to share with all of you.

Love the sign Believe!!!!!  I think of everyone here all the time also. You are all truly my sisters!!!!!!

Lisa I also have rotator cuff issues in my left shoulder and that is what my surgery is for. He also seems that I have slight frozen shoulder, but we are just hoping that it gets better once the rest of my shoulder is ok. I do know of someone who had frozen shoulder so bad that he gas had surgery to try to relieve it so they do do surgery for frozen shoulder if it gets bad enough.

My biggest worry about the surgery is it is my left shoulder and since I had nodes removed on the right they can't use it for blood or IV so where will they but the darn IV?  You would think I would not be scared of IVs after all that I have been through these past 2 years, but I am still scared of them. My DH will be there with me and he is my rock that will get me through!!!! I will also have all of you in my pockets which will help!

    Hugs to everyone!!!!

Missing everyone, it's starting to get warm here in AZ.

So on April 1st I had my first round of carboplatin, by the 5th I could feel a difference in the tumor on my back. I also did 2 weeks of xeloda. When I went back for carbo # 2 on the 22nd my platelets were too low to get it. But when they examined me the 2 x 3 cm on my back had to be felt around for, my liver functions were back in the normal range and the liver had shrunk back to almost normal size! Went this week to get the carbo and platelets still to low (they had given me a super mega dose) so I am going to start the xeloda back up and we will try again next week for the carbo. All in all I feel better than I have in MONTHS. Carbo is my new best friend at the moment.

Yay lostinmo! Great news! Thanks for sharing and keeping us updated. Fingers crossed your levels come up so you can get your next dose.

Ladies - i had my one-year post-rads check-up with my RO yesterday (about one month late). Crazy how over a year has gone by since active treatment was over. He released me from any further f/u with him since I'm being followed by so many other doctors. I said to a friend today - cancer is finally becoming less present in my mind. There are many a mornings where I wake up and don't think about it first thing. Progress... Hope you're all good and finding your happy. My happy today was watching my 6 and 3 year old play hide-and-seek in the house after dinner like they finally understand how the game is supposed to work. Too cute! Hugs to all and in pockets where needed!

Hi gals, just catching up, been very busy with work.

    Great news Lostinmo!

Ramols, glad you are finding and enjoying your new normal.

    Believe, love the sign!

It has been a hard week emotionally. A close friend who has been taking on everything that has been thrown at her over 8 years and has been a great mentor for me and many others over the years found out she has Mets to the brain.  Everyone is devastated!  She has an 11 year old son who has been her everthing and he is having a hard time. Thank goodness she has a great circle of friends since all of her family lives in Canada and cant be with her. Its just going to be very hard watching the progression. Hoping they can control the pain and that her personality doesnt get affected by it negatively.

    Happy thoughts to everyone!
