Juneau - I am praying you get the greatest job soon. I also know where you are at as I went through it 4 or 5 years ago myself. As for sleep I am with you and have just started taking my AI in the morning to see if that is any better for me. I can either not stay asleep long or if I do sleep the dreams are there and I wake up more tired than when I went to bed. The good thing is I do get at least a couple good sleep nights a week so I am surviving.

    Hugs to everyone!

Aruba & Believe... wonderful picture and great memories.

Juneau - as for not sleeping.   Yes its a pain, but if I cant sleep I get up and do shit and lo and  behold before long I'm tired.  Sucks when it happens an hour before I get up... but I am tired of fighting it so go with it.   If I am tired through the day, I get home, do a quick dinner, bit of time with DH  and the bed.
Don't care if I am in bed by 8.  I do whatever my body tells me.

    Hugs you great ladies xxxxxxxxxx

Another thing I do is keep my kindle by my bed and either read or play games. Tires my eyes quickly

Thanks for the thoughts on sleep ladies. I feel better knowing I'm not alone. (As always, pain shared is pain lessened). I just woke up!! Don't know why but lately I'm struggling getting up. (I'm going to sleep pretty late). Maybe I'm a bit depressed.

I have a job interview tomorrow. The pay is A LOT lower then where I was at, bug I think if really enjoy the job. So we shall see.

My SIL's MIL was diagnosed last week with a recurrence in her remaining breast. Like me she had a unilateral mastectomy, choosing to keep one. She got her Dx in late 2011. She actually had two lumpectomies but they couldn't get clear margins. She was part of the reason I went straight for a mastectomy. Anyway, now here she is 3 years later making all these choices again. She's got IDC, 3mm, estrogen recep +. Prayers please.

    Xo ladies.

Good luck at the intreview Juneau! Sending good thoughts for your family - that stinks...

Work and life has been busy and stressful since the new year started. So trying my best to remember to slow down and not stress. And to find my happy. Tonights happy might have been watching my growing almost 7-year old son ask for seconds of my home cooked meal (which I managed to make after a very full day of work) and scarf it down. It's the little things... So remind yourself of something happy from the day, something you accomplished, and pat yourself on the back!

    Hugs ladies!

Juneau how did the interview go? I'm actually heading back to the working world after 5 years but it's a work at home customer service type thing. It's perfect for me and my "let's cart the kids everywhere" life!

2 yrs PFC today. Just had to take a minute and thank you all for helping me get through it. It seems everyone has moved on, but you are all in my thoughts even if we don't post here much anymore.

Jennie: so nice to be moving forward isn't it?

My friend was just diagnosed last week. She needs chemo to shrink it. I told she'd get through it, but it would suck. She seemed relieved. Said everyone keeps saying she's going to fine and I'm the first person to say it would suck. She thanked me for that. Oh how we need honesty throughout this experience.

I love you ladies. You saved my sanity. You made a dark and scary place a little lighter. Thank you!!!

(PS- still haven't heard back on the job... Money is running out. Really don't want to borrow from dad, but I guess that's coming. )

On the topic of moving on - saw my breast surgeon last week for my regular check. While a bit early to be calling it 3 years (July will mark that anniversary) she congratulated me on almost 3 years, with a giant smile and an announcement that for her - I graduate into survivorship! I think three more years until I hear that word from my medical oncologist but I can live with that. Hope you're all doing well and finding your happy. I'm admittedly a tad hormonally cranky today, but if I force myself to reflect on my day and find my happy it would be realizing that I can log onto this site and find you ladies any time of day and share my inner most thoughts with you. Hugs to all!

Ramols I am so happy for you! My BS told me in August that when I came this year I would see his assistant from now on unless...

But I don't think of that! My 3 year cancerversary is coming up next month and I only think I'm closer to being past that 5 year mark than I am to diagnosis.

So here is my happy for this week - we booked our summer vacation! We are going to Turks and Caicos! I've been wanting to go for so long!

Ok time to run some errands and hit the gym!

Love you all and for those of us in the northeast look at the beauty of this weather! Then curse it

    Hi gang!

I hope everyone is doing well as many have not posted in quite some time. I am getting ready to start on the travels circuit again and after the 10 inch snowfall we just had this week and the frigid temperatures forecast for the near future..timing is equisite! Off again (can't believe it's been a year) to my DH annual work/play trip to Aruba shortly. I truly love that place and thus it became my BCO name as a place to take me mentally away when I was going through treatment. Then just a few days after my return I'll make a trip for 10 days to visit dear old dad and fill up his freezer and just spend precious time with him.

Feeling pretty good except for some plantar fascitis so have a heel that been hurting and keeping me from doing much exercise. I can't wait to get into some warm weather and at least move my arms in the water! Have my MO appt in March and still need to schedule the dreaded colonoscopy....and so it goes.. Hope you all check in as I'd love to hear how you are all out their living life! Hugs!

I have been in the Caribbean for almost 4 weeks on our boat. We had friends with us in 2 lots until yesterday and now on our own for 4 weeks. We have come from Grenada and now in French Martinique. Lest you all think it is paradise, it is beautiful but always lots of work on our old boat though mostly for DH. Not good internet but nice to check in tonight

Marian - your travel plans sound wonderful.

Aruba - Aruba really does look like paradise on earth.

Visiting my folks in England at the moment - so cherish them and the time we can spend together even if its only 2 weeks..  They will both be 81 this year.  So very special.   Back to Canada on Thursday :-(

Juneau thinking of you and sending positive mojo for the job.

Yes, don't post much, but sure still do think of you all often.

    Take care, enjoy every moment.

Aruba, Aruba looks great though I can't say Martinique is shabby either.

Tazzy so glad you have had another chance to spend time with your parents. Looks like you are heading home today.

I didn't get the job. I'm getting a bit forlorn and not sure what God wants me to do. My friend has BC and is having neo-chemo soon. I'm taking her wig shopping. My SIL's MIL had a recurrence. Removed her remaining breast. Bad margins and node involvement so she's getting chemo too. My best friends 4 year old daughter was molested by her sponsee of 8 years. He was there when all her kids were born; he was family. Now he's facing life in jail and her daughter is having nightmares. Not having an on seems unimportant, but I'm feeling like a failure. I'm unemployable. I don't know current secretarial software.... But I'm healthy

ah Juneau - there is a job out there with your name on it. Keep looking. You've been surrounded by negativity but you are strong and like you said - you are healthy! Your positive attitude will get you through ... Plus we are all pushing and praying for you!

Dh and I are still in Laughlin (until May) enjoying our glorious sunshine and hoping the sun is shinning down on all of you too! Lots of needy people out there. I do my best to help where I can.

I bought a sewing machine. With the help of utube, I hope to get it threaded and start making pillows for cancer and heart patients. As soon as I know where they are going ... I will start. I can only make things I can give away. If anyone knows of a charity looking for pillows, let me know. I haven't sewed for years so Im starting with easy projects.

You are always in my heart and prayers.

    Hugs

oh Juneau... nothing can be said to make sense of the negativity and bad things going on around you. But like believe said - you are strong. Maybe it is all there to give you perspective and remind you of the things you have to be thankful for. You have your health, your sobriety, your husband, your home, and all of us. Sending hugs.

I've been chatting with the cousin of a cousin. Newly diagnosed and stage 3. Too much BC out there... but feels good to give back.

Juneau- I am so sorry for all you are going through.  I know it has got to be hard.  I'm wishing you the very best with job hunting. I'm praying that your family and friend get through this with their heads up and their hearts intact.

Things with me have been good.  Staying busy at work, currently working 10-12 hours a day since Nov.1st. I am flat out exhausted and ready to go back to working just 8 hours.  I've had more work added to  me, that I have my doubts if I will ever get it done in my work day. I'm planning on having a revision done, hopefully April 16 if not then, then the 2nd week of july.  Stephen is starting his 3rd week of college and is liking it.  Taylor is going to Hawaii next December for the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.  She is so excited, we've made the first payment installment on her trip.  In June of this year, she is going to Washington, DC for her 8th grade field trip. She has never flown and I'm very nervous about it.  I was nervous when Stephen went his 8th grade year.

I took my mom to see 50 Shades of Grey yesterday for Valentine's Day since I was spending it alone.  I really enjoyed the movie and so did my mom.  She has never read the books and went in with an open mind about it and came out loving it.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.  I love you all!

Hey all. Been a while since I checked in. Wanted to say hi. Started training for my new job last week. Haven't worked in quite a while and it's weird but I'm looking forward to it. It's a work at home deal which is perfect. Booked our summer trip and my birthday is coming up. My cancerversary is 3 days after and I'm going to try not to think about it. Instead I will think about the trip to Pittsburgh ME and my 2 BFFs are doing at the end of the month. Making a pit stop in Gettysburg which I can't wait for. Staying at a haunted B&B! I love the supernatural!

Stay warm ladies spring is coming!
