Aruba and believe you two are absolutely gorgeous! Glad the two of you were able to get together for believe's birthday.

Juneau- so sorry your boss is a jerk. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

As for me, I'm almost 2 weeks post op from my revision. My left implant had rotated and was bunched up in the center making it very painful. While in surgery my PS took 4 areas out for biopsy. 1 of them I knew about, because it is the one that through me into a tizzy last summer. I now have the newer US models the ultra high profile implants. I went from having 650/800 to a matching set of 800 ccs. Loving the results I have more projection and my nips/aerolas are rounded rather than flat as a board.

Hope you all have a great day. Love you all!!

Beautiful Aruba and Believe !  What a wonderful picture.

Agreed Karen, acupuncture relieved my aches and pains and got my ying and yang back in balance.

Juneau - sorry for your woes.   Yes, best time to look for a job is when you have one.   Why are some bosses such jerks.

Scottie, I have known so many people with ailments this winter - they are lingerers too.

Off for a girls weekend of wine and fun and laughs.   Weather is gorgeous.

Enjoy and cherish whatever you do this weekend.

    Love you all xxxxxxxxxx

WOW Joanne- way to go!- Do you do weight watchers online?  I lost 40 pounds on Take Shape for Life and am having a hard time getting back into that food, after I took a break for ovarian/hernia surgery.  It works but ufff..

I go to the meeting but have the on-line app. I really like weight watchers. You can eat anything within moderation and makes you think and make the right choices.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's - I think this is the day that we also said we would all try to check in on a yearly basis.

Juneau - sorry to hear your boss is not one of the good ones, hope all works out soon for you

Joanne - congratulations on your weight loss, very impressive!

Tazzy - how is your ankle doing? How is everything else? Have you been spending lots of time in your garden?

Aruba and Believe - so wonderful that you could meet and great picture!

Ramols a hope you are finding lots of Happy - especially today with those sweet boys

2Fried - think of you often, how is everything at this time for you?

I know I haven't mentioned so many of you, but would love updates from all of you.

We babysat Paisley yesterday, she is almost two and such a sweetheart. We spent the morning outside gardening and she loved it and was very helpful. :) I will be going in for my surgery on Friday, May 22nd so have been a little more active on the DIEP thread - trying not to think about it too much but as time grows closer it does start to take up the thoughts somewhat - looking forward to being on the other side of it and hoping for an uneventful recovery.

    Take good care, everyone!

Good to hear from folks! Happy mothers day to all you moms! Can't complain here. Sports games all morning with the boys and now relaxing before BBQ dinner. Coming up on my three year cancerversary and feel like I've finally reached a peace and comfort. After much thinking and second opinion visits I decided to stick with my trusty tamoxifen and not opt for the ovarian supression and AI. Feels like the right decision for me at this point in my life. Hope you're all feeling good and finding your happy!

Happy Mother's Day my lovelies! I am 3 weeks post op from my revision.  Loving the new results with the Ultra High Implants, I even got a matching set 800 ccs instead of 650 ccs and 800ccs.  It's been a very interesting 3 days, we have had severe weather since Friday.  The lake close to my house is overflowing. The fishing pier is completely covered, you can't see anything. The local campsites are underwater. If we get anymore rain I will have my own lake in my backyard.  We have trees down in our roads and we have had our tornado sirens go off every day.  I'm ready for winter to come back at least with winter I know there is going to be snow and ice.

Hope everyone is having a great Mother's Day. I love you all!

Lovely to hear from all! I had to quit tamoxifen in Jan., just got to be too much, started on anastrazole in Feb. and hope it will be better. 2 yrs down and 3 to go, hanging in there. Anyone found anything that helps the joint pain and stiffness? Feel like 90 yrs old. Other than that, doing fine, mammos only once a year now and MO every 6 months, that's it.

hi ladies! Nice to see so many of you here!

Christened; glad you love your results.

Websister; I'm sure it will be great for you too!

Joanne; way to go. Weight watchers doesn't work for me anymore. I'm just staring on Isogenix nutritional cleanse program. I'm up 8lbs since I started working and strained my back exercising two months ago.

I, like Ramols, opted out of ovary suppression/removal.

I am going to get my resume updated.

I have to go, busy working!!!

Hi everyone - glad to see we are all enjoying the nice weather finally. Now if it would only rain and get rid of all this awful pollen! I'm enjoying my new job working at home. It's only 15 hours a week and crap money but I don't care. We had the kids confirmation and communion this month. Glad they did it at the same time! One party and I was done. Getting ready for my Turks trip. Can't wait to lie on a beach and bask in the shade of my umbrella! Health wise I've been ok but I started having an issue in January with my left (the good) side and I've asked to move my appt up with my MO to make sure it's just the crazies in my head and that I don't have Paget's. Fingers crossed. Only way to DX is with a punch biopsy. Last night was my niece's sweet 16 and I cried way too much. They grow up so fast.

Be well all and keep checking in. I know I've been slacking but read everyday and love how we are all moving and shaking!

    Karen

PS - for all you gardeners out there - for the first time EVER I had a plant come back the following year! It was my mint plant. Not hard to hurt but I've been banned from owning cactus and all the other plants that are supposedly unkillable. Give them to me and they are good as gone!

LOL, Karen, I've been known as the gardener with the "black thumb" in my family! Yes mint is hard to kill but I'm still impressed. :-)

Hi All  Great to hear from everyone.

Thanks Websister  - ankle is doing OK.  Still a little swollen but will be for quite a while apparently.   All my lovely shoes are laughing at me in my closet.   Still only wearing flats.   'But at least am walking now.   Lots of time camping and in the garden.  Weather is beautiful.   Good luck with the surgery.

I think mint is unkillable Happy its a start Karen.

Think of you all often.  Happy to see everyone is getting on with life though.

    Love and hugs xxxxxxxxx

    Hi fellow 2013 survivors.

How often do you see your MO? I have been seeing mine every 3 months and wondering if that is a norm?

I had some fat grafting on my breast back in November. Was doing well. Saw the plastic surgeon in April and he said no more  need for surgery looked great. Later that day I had a mammogram and felt pain, just thought they had pinched some skin or I was still tender from the fat grafting in November. Finally 2 weeks later did a breast exam and found a lump in the spot where the cancer had been. Back to Dr, had an ultrasound and the gal who read it told me she felt it was a blood clot and that it was not the norm but asked me to see the Plastic surgeon and also to have an ultrasound in 3 months.

So I saw him the next day and he was a total Jerk- told me it was dead fat cells and that it happens sometimes with fat grafting, I reminded him I had just seen him two weeks prior and he insisted he seen it a lot and it was what it was and I would probably have to have more surgery when it finally was absorbed by my body and then told me I didn't need another Ultrasound.  So hmmmmm... What the heck!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - I see a diff plastic surgeon for a recheck in July as the one I went to was done that very day- GOOD!!

ndgrrl I see mine every 4-6 months. I've learned never to ignore my gut. It will chew on me till I'm crazy. See that other doctor. See 10 of them if you have to. See them until you get the answer you've been searching for. Sometimes our bodies know more than a Dr and we have to be our own advocate. Good luck and let us know how things turn out .

The only doc that still sees me is the MO. Had been every 4 months, but just this most recent visit, going to every 6 mo. now. They don't do any tests of any kind. Just take a quick look at scar, tell me to keep taking the evil drug no matter how bad I feel, see you next time. And order annual mammo for the uniboob. LOL

I see my mo every six months. Before our appt I give blood, have a mammogram and ultra sound so that she can read me all the results. My appointments start up again in June. I'm holding my breath already. I have so many inconvenient aches and pains, I don't even mention them any longer. I'm sure I posted that the time I told her about my pains, I left with a prescription of anti depressants (that I never took)

For the first 18 months I was being seen every 3 months. Now I see her every 6 months with my next apt in June.  I will continue to see my PS every 3-4 months until I am again 1 year out from my revision surgery, then I will see him every 6 months.

christenee; I'm on an identical schedule. Just saw my PS. Due for my mammogram and a trip to my BS. SAw my MO in early March. They ALWAYS take a blood draw to check for cancer markers and white cell count.

I'm dian 8 pounds in a week from the Isagenix. It's incredible. Two years of struggling to lose just 10 pounds and it drops right off on this nutritional cleanse plan. If anyone wants more details PM me.

Yesterday was my 3 years since Dx. I wasn't at all remorseful. I was grateful to be so healthy. We are all survivors and we are coming up on anniversaries; so stay positive and healthy everyone!!! (Oh and Karen... Try Chives. Can't really kill them either and they are great in potatos, marinades, salads...

    Xo ladies

I see my MO every 6 months and as long as I am on Anastrozole which I get at our Cancer Agency I think that will stay the same. Markers are only done here if there is something suspicious. I see my PS every 6 months so far~~exchange was only 18 months ago and I see him end of the month. Still not too happy with my Allergen 410 implant but probably the rads which left with such tight axilla makes it worse. But I have cording which my PS is working hard to break down though looks like it is not going to snap or disappear but since I stretch and see PS often it is OK. Yoga is good for the stretching and I am still going to classes 4-5 times a week. Still hiking too!

Not always positive but working at it!

My schedule re: MO is like MarianElizabeth's - every six months but no blood drawn or testing besides mammogram unless symptoms

Juneau - way to go re: weight loss

Karen - we'll make a gardener out of you yet! ;)

Tazzy - my shoes also taunt me from the closet, still in flats myself but loving being more mobile than last summer with the ankle

I am going in for my DIEP procedure with left mastectomy and TE on that side tomorrow - feeling calm, yesterday was last day of work for 3 months, today finishing up last minute details.

I'll check in when I can after the surgery

    Take care, everyone
