Hello Ladies - you all just chat too fast for me, I can't keep up! So welcome everyone I was hear around the "teen" pages somewhere - talked about my mammo coming up so here it is.

Here is what happened with my mail yesterday - two letters: form letter and report - First my mammo results after the radiologist said, "see you next year".  I hate form letters - the one I got from the radiology center said, "...your recent mammography examination shows 'no sign of breast cancer.'  The area of concern in your breast that prompted this mammogram should be further evaluated by your physician..."  I asked for them to send me the actual report when I had the mammo done.. I also received that yesterday - the shortest report I ever saw!

"Bilateral Mammogram....Findings: Skin thickening and scar are features for the right breast.. The left breast is normal. No evidence of malignancy."

No other details like they usually do - measuring the thickening, etc.  It was sent to all my docs last week and not one of them has called me.. to say - no worries... I guess that is too much to expect.  I cancelled the appt with my RO because we can't afford it but he wouldn't go over the mammo unless I came in for an exam.. That is so like him... Why, if I want answers, do I have to pay them $200 for them to look at the mammo and see what they think.. oh well - I think all the thickening I saw myself on the mammo was the LE.. it was a wide ring on the surface of the breast - away from the scar tissue (separate area).

end rant  - back to work... I will probably see you in another 10 pages as popular as this topic is :)

Thank you ladies for all the great advice...one thing I can't do anymore is yoga.....used to do it every week. I have bursitis in my hip and some of the moves in yoga just kill me.

Will definitely look into getting a massage but the anxiety meds just give me QOL. Will discuss it all with my GP...thanks again gals.

Scottie, those anxiety Meds are addictive and TRUST ME that's no QOL.

June.....I am 65....never took meds in my life, but the way I feel now when I take the anxiety meds....wow...they have made such a difference in my life ...no pain..smile on my face.....I feel like I don't care if I take them for the rest of my life.... Is it so bad that I want some QOL now at my age.....I think I /we deserve it WTH....sorry to sound so angry.....I'm not....I just want to be pain free and smile sometimes and feel like my old self.

I am so very sad at this moment.   One of the ladies on the thread So... what''s for dinner passed away this morning  She was always such a bright light and enthralled us with her stories.   I hate this fucking disease - it is so fucking unfair!  I am just sad.

Peace and love to you all.  I'll chat tomorrow.

I took a little break (because my whole house is sick) and I can hardly keep up with you girls.

I never knew Apple but I know that she was a true inspiration and support to so many here.  May she spread her wings and fly with the Angels.  Thinking of her family and all of you who were touched by her

I am ALL about the drugs that make me function on a daily basis.  I have been taking an anti-depressant since February and it really helps me.  Just 10mg in the morning and I'm good to go.  Helps to take the edge off.  Before all this I didn't even take a Tylenol - never needed to.  But now it's whatever helps get me by.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.  Thankfully it's warm so I can open my windows and get rid of these germs in my house.  I have emptied a can of lysol and my hands are raw from washing them.  My poor 2.5 year old has Scarlet fever and a double ear infection while my DH, my 4 year old and myself have influenza.  The war against germs is happening today!

Born I am so sorry to hear how sick everyone is. Get those windows open and air out the house. Such a horrible time when people are sick especially little ones.

    Good Morning Ladies,

I just saw the post about apple. Although I had not had the blessed opportunity to read her post or get to know her till today and reading all the post and seeing all the love for her. So sorry for her loss. Hugs! Everyone find some time today to do something you love in her and others honor who have past from this disease.

I hope everyone has a peaceful day! I love that Sunday is a day of rest for me:) going to do a little cleaning then cook my weekly dinner. Maybe some mussels and crab legs:) might have to find a way to make them a bit healthier today:) it is freezing out so good day to stay in an cuddle with DH or dogs (dogs are easier LOL)

Now unless I am missing reading tons of pages and posts (which I could be) there are a few who haven't weighed in this week... which is OK weigh in when you want to.  In the meantime here is what I have noted.

Scales at work say I have lost 4lb - dont feel like I have to be honest, different scales from the ones I originally was weighed on so I think that is it.  Then again maybe that little white pill tamox is doing it.  We will see.  It does feel good to be eating healthier though.   Like you mcook, I am going to fix up some dinners for the week today.

Peace, love and hugs to you all

Tazzy- other than mastering the bitch,I have not lost anything yet. Kinda disappointed but still going to lose what I can.

Juneau- I love the DIVA picture! It's beautiful!!!!

Just coming back from our date night out. Went to a beautiful hotel in Dallas, went to dinner a movie and did a little Victoria's secret. Nothing too big. Now we are heading home to tackle our IDs and house. Then in a little while going to get on the elliptical and walk off what I've eaten.

Looks like our pounds are coming off slowly but they are coming off.  I haven't missed one day on the Beast and will continue again this week - one day at a time.

I didn't know Apple either but of course I join you in mourning her loss.  I guess God needed her more than we do.  Very sad.

Born - I pray your home is germ free soon.  Awful to have everyone down!

Tazzy - I love our Cheerleaders - very cute!

Can I join in on the weight loss tracking? I haven't monitored this week, but gained almost 20 lbs during chemo, working on eating healthy and trying to lose it.

Also, sorry about the loss of Apple, I did not know her, but she sounds like she made a great impact and inspiration to a lot of you here.

Hi butterfly - yes of course you can join in.   We generally weigh in on Thursday/Friday's and I post within a couple of days on this thread.

Like everything on these boards we offer encouragement and support.

I am sure that those pounds I lost went back on last night.  We went out for supper with 4 friends and I had the Bombay Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan Bread - which I must say was delicious was likely laden with the horrible calories.   Yesterday was my first year to the day from being dx'd - so I looked on it as my first cancerversary treat.

    Enjoy your Sunday ladies.

Tazzy - ok that dinner sounds absolutely fabulous and you had to celebrate this day with what ever makes you happy and reward yourself :) one year! I was just thinking on what I would do for mine it is Feb 28th.

Man It is chilly out and I guess it seems colder because two days ago it was 40 and raining? Weird winter again this year here. It is Sunday so I am treating myself to a glass of rose! Have to say it is quite yummy! If you haven't guesses I am a huge wine fan but like the tasting part of different wines more than drinking bottles now a days. I think it is fun to try different types and try and learn how to figure out the taste if notes before you read them:) little hobbie of mine. I should take up knitting instead probably better for me:) I can crochet but can't figure out the knitting thing, maybe becuz I am left handed and do things backwards.

Well hope everyone is having a good day! I am done cleaning, laundry etc so now going to relax and try to figure out what to do with these darn Meyers lemons I bought in the store because they looked so purdy :)

What is everyone cooking for dinner tonight? Can I just come over? I will bring the wine:) or tea:)

Oh Tazzy - I weighed 58.9 kg :) seems so much smaller in kgs:) but down a few lbs since last doc visit but I have been not eating a lot because work has been so freaking busy but I still need to get my body tone and back in shape(i have no arm or leg stregth) and eat healthier.

It helps with my mood if I keep exercising so weight is one thing but mental is another! Maybe it will help keep me off Meds for that .

Tazzy - congrats on your 1 yr anniversary. I hope it went by fast. I thought of your dinner when I was on the Beast- drooling today. My anniversary is May 1st. I'm planning my meal as I write.

Mcook - I can't figure out knitting instruction either. Also love to crochet. One year I made 1,000 premie hats for a community service project. So cute! Unfortunately the Arimidex has given me joint pain in my right hand. I wish it would have attacked my left hand. I'm making an afghan for a relative who is recovering from hip surgery. By the time I get it finished he will probably be using roller skates!

    Thanks Scottiee1 -

I'm in Florida, and it has been incredibly hot here, still in low to mid 80's. With still needing wigs, scarves and hats, way too hot. I would gladly send some warm air up to you iatigger.
