Teeball you and your brother are in my thoughts and prayers

    Ireland that is great news

Wow Tazzy you said California? Believe is there wonder who else and if they felt the earthquake.

Grrr I mentioned that I had found a tiny tiny " rough bump"  kind of under my incision. Well  my ps told me to see the Bs who I saw today. She too thinks it is scar tissue because of issues I had after my MX surgery and because you can only feel it certain ways. It's on the LCIS side though, not the IDC side, However, she went on to say that she wants me to have an ultrasound Friday just to "prove it's scar tissue". Dang I am glad she feels that its scar tissue but if she was 100% she wouldn't be "ultrasounding" it. Guess it's best to be proactive. If I hadn't gotten that scarcream to try I'd have never found it as you can only feel it as you rub upwards. I know it's better to be safe than sorry but it's always something. It's going to be a long week.

2Fried... hugs and we're here for your 'long' week.    It is best to be safe, but I hear ya - there is always something and waiting sucks big time.

2FriedEggs - I hope your bump is just scar tissue!  Good idea to find out for sure.  Let them all know, we only accept good news!  (It's worked so far)  No shaking here, the earthquake was in So. CA.  I heard there was no damage.  In CA we get used to the ground shaking.  I'm in Northern CA - Sacramento.  When Scottie starts her traveling - she will get to see the whole State, since her relatives are in Southern CA.

Ireland - the 12 week wait for surgery sounds worse than a cyst.  We will all be with you, great that we are never alone anymore - now that we are connected.

Melissa - I have no experience to answer your question.  Sorry.

Dentist and Doctor appts today.  Cosmetic and voluntary so I won't bore you with details.  I spared you all a pocket outting and will save you for the important appts!

I wonder where Aruba is.  I am still trying for a hand pay, just like her.

Juneau - your furry friend is blessed to have found you!

BEAUTIFUL sunny day here!  I hope it was the same where you all are too!

2fried- good luck will be thinking about you.

well my day was pretty shitty. So glad it's over. started off by finding out that someone hacked into our cc account and racked up 9K worth of charges. Then getting to work and I have no computer, no phone, no fax nadda. I was ready to go home by 745. I told the supervisor that if it is like that tomorrow morning my ass is going home bright and early. I refuse to do it again.

    Hello All,

Well not to chime in late but my MO told me to take a MVI (multivitamin), 1000 I.U. of D-3 and Folic Acid.  I cannot remember the amount of Folic Acid but I will find out.  I hope everyone is doing pretty well today and prayers to all, especially those facing even MORE challenges.

Question:  I am starting to get some feminine itching.  Could this also be a SE of my 1st T/C treatment?  So far I've had mouth sores and a sore throat, big time skin rash like a necklace and down into my chest, severe pain after the Neulasta and now ............... could it be............ a yeast infection?  So I've got the Magic Mouthwash on board, Claritan once daily, Benedryl for the rash and Extra Strength Tylenol for the pain which pretty much does nothing and Carafate before each meal for severe GERD.  The MO just gave me Dilaudid for the pain (Thank GOD!) which is the size of a pin head but i am managing to chop it in half with a pill cutter and 1 mg does the trick.  Are we all chasing drugs with drugs?  That was a rhetorical question.  But seriously, should I trot right out to the pharmacy and get some Monostat?  I suspect so but just needing some confirmation.  Thanks in advance!

cmbernardi- my Onc told me that just any multivitamin would do. I was told to take glucosamine, add vit D and advil for joint pain. She's good with that and so am I. who is your Onc Carolyn?

as for the itch, it could be a yeast infection from all the meds/supplements. Probably wouldn't hurt to run to the pharmacy and pick some up. With my last surgery (implant placement) i asked my PS to write me a script for diflucan just incase I developed a yeast infection because I had been on 12 weeks of antibiotics and was going to be on another 3 wks worth. so it's definitely possible.  How are you feeling? Doing any better?

mcook, I am still around. Work has been crazy the last couple weeks, had to go to Sioux City, not my favorite place. Hoping things calm down for a month or two before heading off to DBQ for the next one.

I did get my squishy swap day finally on the calendar for May 13th, let the count down begin. :} Sure hope to see you if you get to run through Iowa this summer. If not we may just have to find a time to get together when you come back home to visit.

Hope everyone has a great week!

    Christy

Doing a bit better and trying to get some important projects done this week (taxes, etc.) before T/C infusion #2 on March 20 and the shot from HELL on March 21.  My hair is starting to hurt so I am going to get it cut very short tomorrow and have the wig I've already purchased styled by my beautician who is a BC survivor herself.  Going to shop around for some hats, berets and scarves too as I'm not sure how much I will actually wear the wig.  We will see.  I hope your week goes well and you stay safe with peace and blessings.

    Fondly,

    CB

Is there ever going to be an end to the pill popping for all of us? Seems if it isn't one thing, it's another. Ooops don't mean to be a Debbie Downer but I am soooo sick of all this! I can remember a time when I was freaking out because I had to take a daily synthroid in my 30's....oh silly me!Undecided

    Hey all,

There are different doses of the vitamin D3. My levels last May were really low and I was put on 5000 IU daily. Then in December they were better but still low so my MO has me on 6000 IU per day. I live in Florida so get plenty of sun just from walking in and out and routine stuff. The vitamin D3 will require supplements. It has only been in the last few years that the D vitamins have been broken down into different types. So if you haven't had a D3 specific level you should. Low D3 has been linked to breast cancer, depression, fatigue and much more.

Schatz - I was never a pill popper before but I'm not having an problem with this new routine. My symptoms on Arimidex are almost non existent, today. My aching wrist only has an occasional twinge. I'm getting pretty warm at night but don't think it's hot flashes. I hate to tell my doctor and get another pill so I'm just wearing very skimpy nightgowns. High blood pressure pills have been added for me too. So realty the loss of my sweet tooth is the only remaining se and I can live with that. My new normal.

Tazzy - I know it's not weigh in day but this morning I am officially under 160, for the first time in recent history. I weigh 159.8. I'm so excited, that made my day!

Cmbernardi - so glad you are feeling better and it sounds like you are keeping busy. Have fun with your wig. Did you buy a different color. I have a good friend, not a BC person, who wears a wig everyday and its a short synthetic pixie. I have known her for years and I only found out it was a wig when I was shopping at a beauty supply store and questioned how she only died her hair every 3 months. I was so surprised.

Getting confused with all the Vitamin D info. I will ask my Doctor on the 21st.

Joann- I followed the link yesterday about Cancer Concerns. I read as far as the needle biopsies. Yuk. I couldn't read any farther since we all probably started at that point.

Make it a great day ladies!

Tazzy you know we're in your pockets and the same goes for anyone else having tests or surgeries.

Believe that's great about the weight! Glad the eartquake didn't affect you.

I know what you all mean about the pills. I've been on the arimidex for a while and no problems. Also take BP meds. My worst though is this dang actonel they gave me for osteopenia. My main issue is that I have to take it 1st thing with alot of water (which I hate) and can't have anything else to eat or drink for a half hour. My stomach gets a little iffy for a couple days and I have some little body aches that all started when I started taking it. Mo is all for me taking it though as he said they are still researching the possibility that it may help prevent bone mets. Who knows but ugh I am a stiff old person now with a daily Pill minder since all this has begun-lol.

Thanks all for the well wishes on my unknown "bump". Back to distracting myself from thinking about it. Believe , that means baking and eating what I bake unfortunately! I'm sure I'll pick up every pound you lose. lol

Jo love the pic of Scottie-thanks we needed that! lol

Have  a good day every one.

Tazzy - I am definitely up for a pocket party! Maybe Scottie will share some of her chocolate ju-jubes ;)

Re: Vitamin D3 - I was taking 2,000 iu a day prior to my BC diagnosis; afterwards they did a level and my doctor called me and said my level was low and to add 2,000 iu day - I have been taking 4,000 iu/day since that time. I do think it is important to have the blood test to see what the level is before deciding to supplement in excess of 1000iu/day.

Juneau - love the cat pictures and the story that goes along with your cat

Ramols - last day of RT today if I have the dates correct? Woohoo! Celebrating with you! I am done on Friday.

Too many other posts on here since last time I posted to catch up on all. I do love all the new avatars, what a great looking bunch of ladies on this thread! Tazzy - if I remember correctly you are also getting a haircut tomorrow? then posting your pic?

    Hugs to all

Yeah Ramols for your last day or radiation. I finished mine in late July. The effects take a while to go away. I think I'm still seeing changes.

Otdnedispot - beautiful here today. Projected high is 79. What a difference a week can make.

2 Fried Eggs - making Lemon Meringue Squares this morning. My cousin gave me the recipe. They look decadent. Still in the oven. I have company coming next week, trying to get some goodies made and frozen before my husband gets home from golf and eats them all!

    Tazzy;  count me in...

Vitamin D??  I haven't even thought about it, heard about it, asked about it, or been advised on it?  Should I be?

2Fried; stay busy.... Friday will be here before you know it (at least I hope so as I could so with a sleep in)

Woke up yesterday with a headache, couldn't bring myself to exercise.  Made it to work, but went home around 2:00 and crawled into bed.  oOuldn't really sleep though... UGH so I tourmented myself with invesetigative true life mystery shows until the Bachelor 3 hour finale started.  Mind you I didn't watch a single sow all year - but lay half drroling to the finale.  LOL!  Yes, mindless TV was what the dr called for. Still not feeling great today - but better.  Got on my treadmill this morning.

hugs to all and back to work for me.
