Hi everyone! About to watch the Academy Awards. G, how are you feeling?

I have about had it with the kids for the weekend, that's for sure. Z, you must be half-crazy with cabin fever! No wonder you went to magic show.

Worked hard all weekend and it still seems like very little is done. Hugs to PRB.

Idesim, you don't win that game, it is just a fun game to play.

Andrea, in the bag for tomorrow. Will you check in?

Glennie, You should post the wood stork on the Bird Watching Thread. Someone was posting photos of storks in Spain.

Yes, Andrea - please check in tomorrow. Wishing you the best.

Z - how great that you went to a magic show! I love magic. DD and I watched that magician secret's series a few years ago. Kind of a bummer to learn the tricks, but couldn't resist watching it.

Just talked to a co-worker of mine - she wants out too. We all do because our department is a serious mess. There is a position that is 2 levels down from mine available elsewhere on campus that sounds interesting. I need to find out what kind of pay cut 2 levels would be. Thank you all for your offers of support. Nothing anyone can do...just me and my stupid self have to try and move forward here. Spookie - you can bet that if I leave, I will walk in and start singing that song!

Gym teacher replied and said DD can go to the library tomorrow instead of gym, Makes me feel a little bit better. DD now says when she moves her head fast the inside 'feels funny - kind of hurts'. Friends say I am over-reacting and of course her head hurts! I'm hoping that by Tuesday this is all a distant memory.

Glennie I wish I was in Florida and eating out with you! With the possible -25 tonight, there might not be school again tomorrow. The bitter cold is getting to everyone - good friend said 'enough' and is flying to Cancun for a week with her husband tomorrow.

P:  hope the pay level cut is not much!  Then you could go for the interesting job. Sad that your dept is a mess. Tell DD not to move head fast

Bobo:  I'm doing OK.  Was a little dizzy this morning, but I think it was because I took the whole 75 mg cap of Lyrica last night. I will dump some out tonight.  When I see PCP on Tues, I'll see if she will give me a lower dose until I see Rheumy again.  He wanted me to take 75 mg and then double it!!  No way,,,,     Lower dose seems to be helping,, or is it the steroid?  Who knows right now?  But it is so nice to not wake up in the middle of the night with burning hand.

MD expressed sympathy over my chiropractor needing surgery and being out a while.  "Are you going to find another one?"   ME:  "No, he is the only one I trust.  Plus I just had xrays of my neck and it's really bad. Going to need an MRI". MD:  "Oh, that's too bad."  Subject changed.  I've only had bad neck and numb hand for decades,,, I guess it is boring.

lol Glennie. I like that advice - don't move your head fast! Like that old joke right? Doctor my arm hurts when I move it this way... well quit moving it that way.

Glennie, you've had this pain for decades? Ouch. I don't tolerate pain well and get pretty grumpy when something hurts.

ooo, I just heard Dueling Banjos on the radio,,, haven't heard that in ages.  As Steve Martin said,, there is no sad banjo music!!  **chortles**

Yeah,, I've had some degree of neck/shoulder pain & numb hand issues since the 80's.  That is decades.  Booo. I have a certain pain tolerance that I am very functional at,,, but when it is exceeded,, I'm a beitch.  This burning nerve pain sent me over the edge.

P, definitely investigate the new job.  Change is so hard, but sometimes so very important for our health, happiness and growth. Glennie, boo to chronic pain.  I hope that drugs continue to give relief.  I can actually take CEU courses online through my work.  M, the cruise is on the Celebrity Solstice.  I am very excited.

Watching the Academy Awards.  Neil Patrick Harris has done a very good job hosting so far.  Have a great night all.

Hello everyone, been busy today. There was a problem with the guest arriving from Melbourne, the train was not wheelchair accessable, so Colin spent the afternoon on the phone. trying to sort things out, he was in fine form!

I took Dex to the Vet, he has the allergy from the Rye Grass again, so he's back on antibiotics for the tummy rash and steroids for the itch. We got caught in a really big storm on the way home and all the leaves I swept and disposed of earlier were replaced by heaps more, bummer, it was a stinking 37C when I was cleaning up, hopefully it will be cooler tomorrow, when I do it again.

    Take care everyone,catch you all tomorrow....M x

I arrived home safely after midnight. Smooth flights and good roads. I had a stomach bug on trip home Now have sulfur burps, yuck!!!

Kids have two hour delay. I wish I could stay in bed and sleep this off. But alas, no rest for the weary!

Can't find my lump to show doc today. Probably was a cyst. Oh well, maybe she will find it.

    Everyone have a great day!

In the bag, Andrea!  Good it was a smooth trip home, but sorry about the stomach bug.  No fun there.  Hoping for cyst!

M:  the train was not wheelchair accessible?   WTF??  I bet Colin was mad. Did he get things sorted?

I work tonight and tomorrow night, then I have a glorious 5 days off.  Can't wait. We are seeing Jersey Boys on Weds night,,, and not sure about the rest of the time,,, I decided to be sure and give myself a long weekend every couple of months for a break.  Working 40 hours a week is exhausting.

Breast surgeon found lump but it just feels glandular. In same area as other cysts. She looked at my last mammogram and determined it was not suspicious. I Wasnt worried. I have fibrous gladular breasts normally. I don't see her again til end of October.

Now if my stomach would just settle down.

Reporting in:  MRI has been approved from insurance company. Just need to get it scheduled. Yippee!

YAY, Andrea,,, no problem lumps!  Excellent.

Now everyone's tummy has to settle down.

Alert:  as I am typing this, the phone rings and it is Invision to schedule the MRI.  Having it at 930 AM on Weds.  Dicktor got it rushed thru as STAT.  Can not believe it!!  I guess he was more concerned than I thought.  Maybe I will not call this one a Dicktor.

Morning ladies! So glad you're home Andrea, so sorry about the bug. Sounds like the lump is nothing to be concerned about. You sound flat and unwell, can you get some rest, today? Try to keep well hydrated.

Glennie, so pleased to hear your Doctor got the MRI fast tracked, I know you're nervous about what it will show. I have everything crossed that there will be a way to resolve without surgery.

Glennie, can you believe it, the train is now, not wheelchair accessible. It always has been and it was, when the guest booked his ticket. No one here knew it had been altered. Colin gave our guest every bit of information he needed to get here, but we were concerned from the start that he was doing it alone, his wife had returned to Victoria Island, where they are from. Apparently there is a bus that leaves at 4.30am which is accessible, what a load of crap that is. I say, good luck finding a carer who will get you up and out for a 4.30am bus. The transport system here, is absolutely, run by fuckwits. The train authority got him on an accessible train to Traralgon, which is about 2 hours from here and then they had to pay for a maxi taxi the rest of the way. I bet that must have stung, dickheads, probably cost them around $250 in cab fare.

Colin is sensational to watch, when he is angry, he knows all the regulations and is really eloquent, when dealing with this kind of shit. He goes for the throat, if someone has been disserviced. I am guessing they may have to pay for a taxi back to Melbourne for this man and the Ombudsman, will be getting a report from Colin too. I don't think they have heard the last of this LOL

Must run, have to shop for food, since we will have this guy here for meals, catch you all later...M x

oooooo, Colin does the humpy back spider dance too!!   I would love to see him in action!!  Go Colin!!!!

I will report in when I get the MRI report,,, yes, I'm quite nervous about it. I do not want surgery on my neck. It scares me. but I am also afraid of what the bad discs, etc are doing to the nerves and long range functioning of my arm too. It's just freaking scary.

Hi all. Glad to hear Andrea is home safe and sound and nothing out of the ordinary with the lump.

Glad too Glennie that they are taking this seriously... I don't blame you for being nervous... I would be too.. but won't it be nice to not be in pain any longer?

M, who is worse? You or Colin? I think I'd perhaps rather have Colin mad at me.. you just scare me.

Z! I'm so happy to hear that you heard from GrammaB!!! That gives me such relief. I swear.. Z is like the glue that holds us all together :) I am laughing over BG ordering you to sit on the stool... she is something :)

Anybody that loves magic... try going to YouTube and searching for Darcy Oakes. He's pretty amazing.

    M, here is DP's video....

No idea why it embedded the video.. just wanted the link to post. I just can't get her off my mind.. need to snap out of it. I can't believe that wa only made a little over a month ago..... *shakes head sadly*

Let's try the magic link maker DP Video

PRB, if you have another option for work.. take it.. even if it's a cut in pay. Saying that, I need to do something myself.. I am not motivated any longer by what I do and it's stressful. We are already struggling financially, so I don't know what I can do, I'm really not trained in anything else. Sometimes I just want to quit and get a job at McDonalds... "may I take your order". "would you like fries with that". It's so hard to know what to do or where to turn and that just depresses me to the point I can't entertain doing anything... if that makes any sense. When I think of the fact that I have almost another 20 years in the workforce.. I just get more depressed.

You're not depressing, I feel the same way about DP and I think everybody else is too... she was a ray of sunshine, she made me laugh, I looked forward to her antics and yes, I think in some ways, she was somebody for us to champion. I only hope she got as much from us as we got from her.

omg Glennie, that stork is awesome.. imagine looking outside and seeing that! Wow.

M, thanks for the view porn, makes me want to get on a plane :)

Spookie thanks for flaunting your gorgeous weather in our faces... So Friggin Jealous. Hope you feel bad for making PRB cry.

Hope everybody's tummys are feeling better... funny, I haven't felt too good today.

Spent yesterday trying to clear never ending ice from the roof, side of house, stairs... etc. I would rather shovel 2 feet of snow than deal with the friggiin ice. We were at it for close to 4 hours... the only good side of it was it was in the low 30's and felt like summer. Today we are back to minus temps with a horrible wind :(

Ok.. think I caught up. Oh.. Bobo hope you got away from the kids for a little bit :)

L:  it would be nice to not have pain and numbness,,, but the thought of them operating on my cervical spine terrifies me with all the things that can go wrong.  It will be last resort,,, the problem, is that I've been saying that for a long time now,, and hoping I haven't reached the last resort.

Want to see vid,, will have to wait until after work.  UGH on the snow and ice!   I am wishing for an early spring for you!!! You have had enough.

M, you nailed it. I feel blah. Headache, upset tummy, really tired.....what a month! We lost Lucky, then our friend's baby was stillborn, then FIL and finally dear DP.

It was so nice to see my family tho. My dad turns 87 tomorrow. That's something to celebrate.

When I was at the BS I heard her on the phone giving someone the news we have all had. Her life will have been changed forever today.

    Hugs all around.

I've heard from bond again. He and the family are passing around a virus. He did go to work today in the ice. He sounded good. I think workdays will be ok. Nights and weekends hard.

GrammaB didn't give any details. I did ask. Just she needed a break. I told her about DP.

Two are looking for new jobs. I'm looking for a new appearance.

Dog snapped at boy last night. Then snapped at DH. Boy may have been aggravating her. DH not.

It's E week. Egg allergies in room. What else? I'm so tired, can't think. Eggplant probably not an option.

Been changing out BG's clothes ALL afternoon. She came home and immediately tried on two outfits and took two more to basketball practice plus a hat and a necklace. Have a load in the washer so she can wear orange tomorrow. Waiting on it to finish so I can go to bed.
